Oppo Find X10 Pro Max review: Can three 200MP cameras, a huge 8,000mAh battery and ColorOS 17 justify its ₹1,99,999 price?

Oppo Find X10 Pro Max Review: A ₹2 Lakh Camera Beast

Three 200MP cameras, two-day battery life and polished software. Is Oppo’s ₹1,99,999 flagship worth the asking price?

Mehul Reuben Das

Oppo

Oppo Find X10 Pro Max

<h3>The Oppo Find X10 Pro Max brings three consistent 200MP cameras, excellent battery life, a brilliant display and ColorOS 17 polish, but it is also very expensive, even for a flagship.</h3>

Oppo is not playing safe with the Find X10 Pro Max. Its new ultra-flagship pairs three 200MP rear cameras with an 8,000mAh battery, MediaTek&rsquo;s latest Dimensity 9600 Pro processor and ColorOS 17. That is a spectacular specification list, but it also comes with a spectacular ₹1,99,999 price tag.
The bigger question is whether the phone earns it, because at that price, it&rsquo;s even more expensive than the base iPhone 18 Pro Max. Oppo&rsquo;s previous camera flagships, particularly the Find X9 Pro and Find X9 Ultra, already made a strong case against the iPhone and Samsung&rsquo;s best. The X10 Pro Max wants to go further, promising a camera system without a weak lens, proper two-day battery life and performance that can keep up with almost anything.
After spending a week using it instead of my iPhone 18 Pro Max, the decision was less straightforward than expected. This review looks at whether Oppo&rsquo;s most ambitious phone yet is good enough to become your main flagship.
<h2>Oppo Find X10 Pro Max Review: Design</h2>
The Oppo Find X10 Pro Max wears its ₹1,99,999 price with confidence. Its glass-and-aluminium body is solidly made, carefully finished and immediately feels like it belongs in the ultra-flagship category. The flat matte aluminium frame is particularly good. It keeps fingerprints down and, together with the gently curved sides, makes a large phone easier to hold than its dimensions suggest.
That said, this is not a light handset. The Luna White version weighs 233g, while Titanium Grey is 235g, and the camera assembly shifts some of that weight towards the top. You notice it initially, especially when holding it one-handed, but it is not something that ruined the experience over a week of use.
Oppo offers Titanium Grey and Luna White. Titanium Grey uses sculpted glass for a cleaner, more restrained look. Luna White is more distinctive, with a moon-inspired, two-tone back. Matte glass meets a fabric-like pattern below the camera, while the silver LUMO camera surround, knurled edging and orange Hasselblad accent reference classic camera design without becoming gaudy.
That rear section is in two pieces: a prominent black lens module at the top and a smaller, pill-shaped section below for the True Colour Camera and twin flash. The result is distinctive, though there is no disguising how much space the camera hardware occupies.
Oppo includes its configurable Snap Key on the left side of the frame, alongside the standard power and volume controls. It can be assigned to shortcuts such as AI Mind Space, screenshots and voice recording.
The 6.78-inch display stretches close to the edges, helped by its 1.15mm symmetrical bezels. Oppo has also covered both sides with Crystal Guard Glass and added IP66, IP68 and IP69 protection, alongside SGS five-star drop resistance.
There is nothing missing on connectivity either: dual-SIM support, eSIM, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.2, NFC and USB 3.2 Gen 1 are all included. At this price, that is exactly as it should be. It is a design that balances bold camera hardware with genuinely thoughtful finishing from every angle.
<h2>Oppo Find X10 Pro Max Review: Display &amp; Audio</h2>
Display quality is one reason the Oppo Find X10 Pro Max feels premium. The 6.78-inch flat LTPO AMOLED panel is sharp at 2772&times;1272 and 450ppi, but its real advantage is how controlled it looks. It is not merely bright or colourful. It has the range to make HDR content look measured.
The panel varies from 1Hz to 120Hz, reaches 2,000 nits in high-brightness mode and has a 3,600-nit peak. In real-world use, that means no struggle reading navigation, messages or camera controls in hard sunlight. Indoors, it can also fall to one nit and uses high-frequency PWM dimming in low light, helpful at night.
Oppo&rsquo;s 95 per cent BT.2020 coverage is worth noting. The wider gamut goes beyond the DCI-P3 colour space found on most flagship phones, allowing compatible HDR material to preserve richer shades without pushing everything into cartoon territory. Dolby Vision films and streaming shows benefit most. Highlights have impact, shadow detail remains visible, and colour has more nuance.
The interface runs at 120Hz for most everyday tasks, making scrolls and transitions look fluid. It can move to 144Hz in supported titles such as BGMI, Call of Duty: Mobile and Free Fire Max, but that rate is not available across the system.
The 3D ultrasonic fingerprint reader is fast and dependable.&nbsp;
Audio comes from a symmetrical stereo pair that gets loud, keeps voices clear and gives video a decent sense of separation. They lack dramatic bass, but they are very capable for YouTube, music and casual streaming.
<h2>Oppo Find X10 Pro Max Review: Cameras</h2>
The Oppo Find X10 Pro Max makes its strongest case through the camera system. The Find X9 Pro and Find X9 Ultra were already among the better smartphone cameras available, but this phone raises the hardware stakes with a 200MP main camera, 200MP ultra-wide and 200MP 70mm periscope telephoto. All three were co-developed with Hasselblad, and just as importantly, they deliver a similar character when you move between focal lengths.
That consistency matters more than the headline resolution. Images are detailed and lively, but they do not rely on exaggerated sharpening or aggressive saturation to look impressive. Skin tones are more natural, contrast is better judged, and the cameras preserve a scene&rsquo;s mood instead of lifting every dark area until it looks artificial.
The 1/1.3-inch main camera uses Oppo&rsquo;s DeepPix sensor technology. In simple terms, it gives each pixel more room to capture and retain light information, allowing the sensor to deliver up to 17 stops of dynamic range. The advantage is clearest in difficult night scenes. With bright signs, streetlights and deep shadows in the same frame, the Find X10 Pro Max can retain highlight detail without sacrificing the darker parts of the composition. It does this while keeping the result more camera-like than heavily processed.
The ultra-wide has a 200MP 1/1.56-inch sensor and autofocus, which makes it far more capable than the usual token wide-angle camera. It captures clean landscapes, maintains detail towards the edges, and also works well for macro photography. The 70mm 200MP periscope camera is excellent for portraits and close-ups, with convincing subject separation and plenty of detail. Its high-resolution sensor can also produce useful crops at longer zoom levels.
The 50MP autofocus selfie camera remains detailed without overly smoothing faces. Video is another highlight. All three rear cameras record 4K at 60fps and 120fps, along with 8K at 30fps, while Dolby Vision HDR helps in high-contrast scenes. Creators also get O-Log2, real-time LUT monitoring and Open Gate recording, which uses more of the sensor area to make reframing easier in post. It is one of the most complete camera and video packages on a phone right now.
<h2>Oppo Find X10 Pro Max Review: Performance</h2>
The Oppo Find X10 Pro Max is India&rsquo;s first phone with MediaTek&rsquo;s Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset. Built on a 2nm process, it is paired with 12GB or 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM clocked at 9,600Mbps, while storage is 512GB of UFS 4.1. It is an uncompromising specification, and the phone is as quick in everyday use as that hardware suggests.
Its AnTuTu score of 4,241,576 is the highest we have recorded. The Geekbench 7 result is strong, at 2,584 for single-core performance and 9,336 for multi-core, although other flagship chips have posted higher figures in that test.
The more complicated result comes from 3DMark Wild Life Extreme. The Find X10 Pro Max produced a best loop score of 6,049 but dropped to 1,379, leaving it with a 22.8 per cent stability rating. That is unusually low for a phone in this class, and it points to inconsistent sustained GPU behaviour under synthetic stress. It is worth noting, though, that this was not reflected in normal use. A software update may well improve the result.
Apps open immediately, camera processing is rapid, and the phone handles multitasking with little effort. ColorOS 17 also feels well matched to the hardware, with no sense that the interface is slowing the experience down.
Gaming is excellent. BGMI held between 140fps and 144fps at its 144Hz setting, including in heavier scenes, while Call of Duty: Mobile delivered comparable results. The phone warms up during long sessions but never becomes alarmingly hot, and its performance holds up well after an hour. It is capable of genuine flagship performance, whether you are gaming, shooting video or simply moving through a busy day.
<h2>Oppo Find X10 Pro Max Review: Software</h2>
ColorOS 17 is the most polished software Oppo has produced so far. It is quick, visually confident and far more cohesive than earlier versions, matching the Find X10 Pro Max&rsquo;s flagship hardware rather than feeling like a layer placed on top of it. Navigation is responsive, the interface is cleaner, and there is very little friction in everyday use.
The main visual overhaul is Living Flow Design. Oppo divides it into Luminous Effect, Fluid Motion and Flexible Feedback. Luminous Effect brings extra translucency and soft lighting to panels, controls and media elements. Fluid Motion is designed to carry interface elements from one state to another rather than replacing them abruptly. Flexible Feedback makes buttons and panels react to touch with stretch, light and bounce effects.
Behind this sits the Luminous Rendering Engine. The result is that pulling down Quick Settings, opening a menu, moving an app window or returning to the home screen feels connected rather than like a chain of unrelated animations. The updated icons, widgets and folders are easier to read, while the Control Centre is better organised. It makes the operating system feel more immediate without slowing it down.
AI is a major part of ColorOS 17. AI Mind Space is designed as a searchable store for the information that usually gets lost between screenshots, links, notes and voice recordings. Plus Mind can capture the relevant content from your screen and add it to that space, letting the system organise it into collections that are easier to revisit.
AI Mind Pilot is more ambitious. Oppo describes it as an agentic assistant that can work with services such as ChatGPT and Manus. Rather than simply answering a prompt, it can understand the task, pull together relevant information and complete parts of a multi-step action. It can help plan an itinerary, find images and organise an album, among other tasks.
AI Photo Agent is the consumer-friendly counterpart. It can make edits through plain-language instructions, including changes to lighting, composition and retouching, or it can work from a reference image. The phone also includes AI Call Guard for detecting suspicious synthetic voices and AI Face Swap Detection for flagging manipulated faces. The feature list is extensive, but ColorOS 17&rsquo;s real success is making it all feel useful rather than overwhelming.
<h2>Oppo Find X10 Pro Max Review: Battery Life</h2>
Battery life is one of the Oppo Find X10 Pro Max&rsquo;s clear advantages. Its 8,000mAh silicon-carbon battery turns it into a two-day phone for users. Heavy camera use, long streaming sessions, navigation, social media and gaming still left enough charge to finish the day without concern.
That endurance changes the experience. A busy day does not automatically mean carrying a power bank.
The phone supports 80W SUPERVOOC wired charging, 50W AIRVOOC wireless charging, and reverse wired and wireless charging for accessories. It is not the quickest charging setup among ultra-flagships, and an 8,000mAh battery will always take time to fill. But the trade-off is easy to accept when the phone spends so much less time connected to a charger.
<h2>Oppo Find X10 Pro Max Review: Verdict</h2>
The Oppo Find X10 Pro Max costs ₹1,99,999, which is more than what you would pay for a base iPhone 18 Pro Max. But, I will say this, it earns it&rsquo;s place by being far more than a camera phone.
Its three 200MP rear cameras are the attraction. They offer excellent consistency across focal lengths, natural image processing and strong video tools. More importantly, the rest of the experience is polished. The display is outstanding, ColorOS 17 is Oppo&rsquo;s strongest software release, battery life excels, and the Dimensity 9600 Pro has all the performance expected from an ultra-flagship.
There are caveats. It is large and heavy, while the 3DMark Wild Life Extreme stability result is unusual enough to warrant attention. The 80W charging system is not the fastest at this level either, though an 8,000mAh battery was never going to be refilled instantly.
Those points do not undermine the phone&rsquo;s central appeal. The Find X10 Pro Max does not force buyers to choose between a great camera and a complete flagship experience. It delivers both.
After using it in place of an iPhone 18 Pro Max, I am keeping my main SIM in the Oppo for now. For a phone entering this price bracket, that is a remarkably strong endorsement.

Oppo Find X10 Pro Max launches in India on October 22 with MediaTek’s 2nm Dimensity 9600 Pro, a 144Hz LTPO display, IP69 protection and a new Snap Key.

Oppo Find X10 Pro Max India Launch: Dimensity 9600 Pro Confirmed for October 22

Oppo’s Find X10 Pro Max is set for India with MediaTek’s 2nm Dimensity 9600 Pro. Here is what Oppo has confirmed before the October 22 launch.

Oppo Find X10 Pro Max Is Bringing a 2nm Chip to India

<h3>Oppo will launch the Find X10 series in India on October 22. The Find X10 Pro Max brings a 2nm Dimensity 9600 Pro chip, a 144Hz LTPO display and more.</h3>

Oppo will launch the Find X10 series in India on October 22, led by the Find X10 Pro Max and the more compact Find X10. While the company has not announced pricing or complete specifications yet, it has confirmed a fair bit about the flagship&rsquo;s design, display and, importantly, its processor.
The Find X10 Pro Max will be among the first smartphones globally to run on MediaTek&rsquo;s new Dimensity 9600 Pro. Built on a 2nm process, it is the chipmaker&rsquo;s next big flagship platform, with performance, AI and imaging capabilities forming the core of its pitch.
<h2>What does the Dimensity 9600 Pro bring to the Find X10 Pro Max?</h2>
As stated in a previous report, the Find X10 Pro Max will feature MediaTek&rsquo;s flagship chip which uses an eight-core, all-big-core architecture: two C2-Ultra cores clocked at up to 4.55GHz, three C2-Pro cores at 4.35GHz and another three C2-Pro cores at 3.1GHz.
MediaTek claims up to 17% higher single-core performance and 15% higher multi-core performance over the previous generation, alongside a 61% reduction in multi-core power consumption. As ever, those are chipset-level lab figures, not a guarantee of how the Find X10 Pro Max will perform once Oppo&rsquo;s hardware and software enter the equation.
The chip also gets a dual-NPU setup for on-device AI. MediaTek says it can run models with up to 30 billion parameters locally, while its new AI engine is designed to make phone assistants more context-aware and capable of completing tasks across apps. The company also claims a 40% drop in always-on AI power use.
For gaming, the Dimensity 9600 Pro uses the G2-Ultra NX GPU, which MediaTek says offers 27% higher peak performance, lower power consumption and faster ray tracing. It also supports gaming at up to 185fps, although actual frame-rate options will naturally depend on the game, display and Oppo&rsquo;s own implementation.
<h2>The Find X10 Series again leans hard into the camera&nbsp;</h2>
The Find X10 Pro Max will arrive in Luna White and Titanium Grey. The Luna White version is the more eye-catching option, with a two-tone rear panel that combines matte glass and a fabric-inspired texture.
Its camera module, which Oppo calls the LUMO Color Module, uses silver metallic detailing, knurled edges and a matte orange accent ring inspired by Hasselblad&rsquo;s visual language. The Titanium Grey model opts for a subtler sculpted-glass treatment around the camera array.
The regular Find X10 follows the same broad design language in a smaller body. It has a sculpted-glass camera area, flat aluminium sides and a velvet-textured rear panel. Colour options include Glacier Blue, Glow Coral and Mist Grey.
Both phones are rated IP66, IP68 and IP69 for dust and water resistance, and use Oppo Crystal Shield Glass.
<h2>What is changing on the display side?</h2>
The Pro Max has a 6.78-inch flat LTPO display with 1.15mm symmetrical bezels. The Find X10 gets a 6.59-inch flat LTPO panel with 0.99mm symmetrical bezels, so it should offer a more manageable footprint without giving up the flagship design cues.
Both displays support refresh rates of up to 144Hz in compatible games. Oppo also claims up to 2,000 nits of global peak brightness, 3,600 nits of local peak brightness and 95% BT.2020 colour-gamut coverage.
For late-night use, the panels can go as low as 1 nit and use 3,840Hz PWM dimming. Oppo says it has also worked on colour accuracy and brightness uniformity at lower levels, which matters far more than a huge peak-brightness number when you are actually using the phone in a dark room.
<h2>Snap Key carried forward from the Find X9 series</h2>
The customisable Snap Key also continues from the Find X9 series. Located on the left edge, it can open AI Mind Space or be assigned to shortcuts such as the camera, torch, recorder, translation, screenshots and sound controls.
Oppo has also confirmed its Laminar Flow Engine, co-developed with MediaTek. The system is meant to coordinate rendering and scheduling more efficiently to improve app launches, photo browsing and overall responsiveness while keeping power consumption in check.
With the launch just over a week away, the major remaining questions are the cameras, battery, charging, storage configurations and, above all, India pricing.

Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3i Gen 11 review covering its Core Ultra 5 processor, 16GB RAM, 15.3-inch display, battery life, performance and key limitations.

Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3i Gen 11 Review: Performance, Battery & Display

The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3i Gen 11 combines a Core Ultra 5 processor, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD and 15.3-inch display. Here’s how it performs in everyday use.

Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3i Gen 11 Review: A Practical Everyday Laptop

Ishan Fazili

Lenovo

Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3i

The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3i Gen 11 offers solid everyday performance, long battery life and upgradeable hardware, but its display and integrated graphics limit its appeal for creative and demanding workloads.

Buying a laptop right now feels more complicated than it used to. Rising demand for memory and storage, driven partly by AI infrastructure, has pushed up component costs, making even mainstream laptops feel surprisingly expensive. That makes Lenovo&rsquo;s IdeaPad Slim 3i Gen 11 an interesting proposition.
The version I tested comes with an Intel Core Ultra 5 processor, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD and a spacious 15.3-inch 16:10 display. Lenovo also talks up its Copilot+ AI capabilities, although I wouldn&rsquo;t consider that the biggest reason to pick this laptop.
What matters more is how well it handles the basics. For students and everyday users, a laptop needs to be reliable for work, browsing, video calls, studying and watching content. That&rsquo;s where the IdeaPad Slim 3i has to prove whether it offers enough performance and practicality without making you stretch your budget too far.
<h2>Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3i Gen 11 Review: Design and Build Quality</h2>
The IdeaPad Slim 3i Gen 11 takes a fairly simple approach to its design. You get a large 15.3-inch display, but Lenovo has tried to keep the overall package reasonably practical for everyday use. Measuring 343.4 x 239.5mm, it is understandably larger than most 14-inch laptops. However, the 16:10 aspect ratio gives you noticeably more vertical space, which I found useful while working with documents, spreadsheets and multiple windows.
At 1.63kg and between 16.9mm and 17.9mm thick, this isn't something I'd classify as an ultraportable. I could definitely feel it in my backpack once the charger and other accessories were added, although carrying it around during my daily routine wasn't particularly troublesome.
Lenovo has used aluminium for the lid and keyboard deck, while the bottom gets PC-ABS plastic. The Luna Grey finish keeps things understated, and the metal construction gives the laptop a more premium feel than its price might suggest. It doesn't look out of place in an office, classroom or coffee shop.
The overall build is fairly solid, but the hinge is one area that could use some work. There is noticeable screen movement when repositioning the laptop. Lenovo also says it has cleared 21 MIL-STD-810H tests, which is reassuring, but the hinge behaviour is something you'll notice during regular use.
<h2>Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3i Gen 11 Review: Display</h2>
The 15.3-inch display is one of the more practical aspects of the IdeaPad Slim 3i Gen 11. Lenovo has gone with a 1920 x 1200 WUXGA IPS panel, running at 60Hz, with an anti-glare finish and up to 400 nits of claimed brightness. On paper, these aren't particularly exciting specifications, but they make sense for a laptop aimed primarily at work and everyday use.
What I appreciated most was the 16:10 aspect ratio. That additional vertical space might not sound significant, but it makes scrolling through long documents, reading articles and working with spreadsheets noticeably more comfortable. I could also keep two windows open without feeling like everything was unnecessarily cramped.
For watching YouTube, movies and shows, the screen is perfectly usable. The resolution looks reasonably sharp at this size, while the matte finish does a good job of reducing distracting reflections. The 400-nit brightness is also useful indoors, particularly near windows or under stronger lighting.
There are, however, some limitations. Contrast is fairly average, so blacks lack the depth you'd get from an OLED display. The 60Hz refresh rate is similarly basic, although I don't think it matters much for the kind of work this laptop targets.
The bigger limitation is colour reproduction. With just 45% NTSC coverage, this isn't a screen I'd recommend for professional photo editing, video grading or colour-sensitive design work. For productivity, browsing and casual entertainment, though, it gets the job done without much fuss.
<h2>Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3i Gen 11 Review: Keyboard and Trackpad</h2>
Lenovo hasn't tried to reinvent the keyboard here, and that's probably a good thing. The IdeaPad Slim 3i Gen 11 uses the company's familiar chiclet-style layout, complete with backlighting and a full-sized number pad. The keys have a slightly textured surface, which feels comfortable during longer typing sessions, while the decent key travel prevents the typing experience from feeling too shallow.
I generally type at around 75&ndash;80 words per minute, and I didn't need much time to adjust to this keyboard. The keys feel responsive without being overly stiff, making it one of the areas I enjoyed using the most on this laptop.
There is no fingerprint reader, which feels like a strange omission at this price point. However, the IR camera supports Windows Hello, so face-based authentication works well.
The trackpad is spacious and responsive, with accurate tracking and a satisfying click. Because Lenovo has squeezed in a dedicated number pad, the trackpad isn't centred on the chassis and instead lines up more closely with the spacebar. It looks slightly unusual initially, but I stopped noticing it after a while. Precision TouchPad gestures also work reliably for everyday navigation.
<h2>Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3i Gen 11 Review: Connectivity, Camera and Audio</h2>
Connectivity on the IdeaPad Slim 3i Gen 11 is fairly practical for everyday use. You get Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3, along with two USB-A ports, a USB-C port, HDMI 1.4, an SD card reader, a 3.5mm audio jack and Lenovo's traditional barrel-style charging port. The USB-C port also supports charging and DisplayPort 1.2, which adds some flexibility when connecting an external monitor. There is no Ethernet jack or WWAN support, though, so wired networking requires an adapter or dock.
I would have preferred a faster USB-C implementation or Thunderbolt support, particularly given how common high-speed peripherals have become. Still, for a typical setup involving a mouse, external drive, monitor or SD card, the existing selection should be enough.
The 1080p webcam is another useful inclusion. It comes with an IR sensor and a physical privacy shutter, allowing Windows Hello facial recognition for quick logins. I found this much more convenient than typing a password repeatedly. A fingerprint reader, however, is missing.
For audio, Lenovo has fitted two 2W stereo speakers with Dolby Audio, accompanied by dual-array microphones. They're perfectly adequate for video calls and casual viewing, although I'd still reach for headphones when listening to music or watching movies.
<h2>Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3i Gen 11 Review: Performance</h2>
The IdeaPad Slim 3i Gen 11 I tested is configured with Intel&rsquo;s Core Ultra 5 322, 16GB of DDR5-5600 memory and a 512GB PCIe Gen 4 SSD. This isn't a machine designed to compete with gaming laptops or workstation-class notebooks, but the hardware combination makes sense for the kind of everyday workloads most students and professionals are likely to throw at it.
The processor features six cores, split between two Performance cores and four Low Power Efficiency cores. It also includes an NPU capable of up to 46 TOPS, which qualifies the laptop as a Copilot+ PC. This brings support for newer Windows AI features such as Studio Effects, although I wouldn't make those capabilities the deciding factor when buying this particular laptop.
I particularly like Lenovo's approach to the memory configuration. You get 8GB soldered to the motherboard alongside an additional 8GB DDR5-5600 SODIMM, giving you dual-channel memory from the start. More importantly, the removable module leaves room for an upgrade. Swapping the existing 8GB stick for a 16GB module could take the total memory to 24GB when compatible modules become more affordable.
Storage is similarly upgrade-friendly. The 512GB SSD provides enough room for Windows, applications, documents and everyday media, while two M.2 2242 PCIe 4.0 slots mean you can add another SSD later instead of having to replace the existing drive.
The benchmark results were also in line with what I'd expect from this configuration: 11,184 in Geekbench 7, 1,555 in 3DMark Time Spy, 1,654 in Cinebench multi-core, 393 in Cinebench single-core and 6,807 in PCMark 10.
More importantly, those numbers translated well into actual use. I had no trouble juggling browser tabs, research, writing, presentations, streaming, video calls and various office and messaging applications. The laptop feels responsive enough for regular work without constantly reminding you that you're using a budget-oriented machine.
Gaming is where the limitations become more obvious. The integrated Intel Xe graphics can handle lighter and casual games, but this isn't the laptop to buy for modern AAA titles. Cloud gaming services such as NVIDIA GeForce Now are a more practical route for demanding games. Similarly, anyone planning serious video editing, 3D work or other GPU-intensive workloads should look towards a machine with a dedicated graphics card.
<h2>Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3i Gen 11 Review: Software</h2>
The IdeaPad Slim 3i Gen 11 comes with Windows 11 Home Single Language, along with Microsoft Office Home 2024. Having a full Office licence included is a nice addition, particularly if you're buying this laptop for college or regular office work where Word, Excel and PowerPoint are part of the daily routine. Lenovo also throws in Microsoft 365 Basic for a year, which includes 100GB of OneDrive cloud storage among other benefits.
Windows 11 itself feels right at home on this hardware. The interface is familiar and easy to navigate, while features such as Snap Layouts are especially handy on the laptop's larger 16:10 display. I could comfortably arrange documents, browser windows and communication apps without constantly resizing everything.
The Core Ultra 5 322 also brings an NPU capable of running supported AI functions locally, making this a Copilot+ PC. During video calls, features such as Windows Studio Effects can handle things like background blur, automatic framing and eye-contact adjustments. These aren't features everyone will necessarily use, but having the hardware available means the laptop is better prepared for newer Windows capabilities.
I also appreciated that Lenovo hasn't overloaded the system with unnecessary pre-installed applications. The overall software experience remained clean, responsive and easy to live with during my testing.
<h2>Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3i Gen 11 Review: Battery Life and Charging</h2>
The IdeaPad Slim 3i Gen 11 packs a 60Wh battery and comes with a 65W round-tip power adapter. During my testing, I generally managed around 10&ndash;12 hours between charges, which is a respectable result for a laptop in this category.
My usage wasn't particularly light either. I spent most of the day switching between writing, web browsing, research, emails, documents, streaming and occasional video calls. With that kind of workload, I was comfortable leaving the charger at home on a regular workday. Naturally, more demanding tasks, extended video calls or running the display at higher brightness will bring that figure down.
The bundled 65W charger isn't exactly tiny, but it's manageable enough to throw into a bag when required. I also like the flexibility offered by the USB-C port, which supports Power Delivery at between 45W and 65W. That means you can use a compatible USB-C charger instead of always carrying Lenovo's proprietary round-tip adapter.
<h2>Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3i Gen 11 Review: Final Verdict</h2>
At ₹1,09,990, the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3i Gen 11 sits in a fairly competitive part of the laptop market. Rather than judging it purely by the Core Ultra branding, I think it's more useful to look at what you actually get as a complete package.
The configuration I tested brings together the Core Ultra 5 322, 16GB DDR5 RAM, a 512GB SSD and a spacious 15.3-inch WUXGA IPS display. It also has upgradeable memory and storage, useful connectivity and a design that's reasonably easy to carry around. The Copilot+ capabilities are an added bonus, although they aren't necessarily the reason I'd pick this laptop.
There are a few compromises. The IPS display's limited colour coverage makes it less suitable for professional creative work, while the integrated graphics clearly limits its appeal for demanding gaming and GPU-heavy applications.
For students, professionals and general users, however, the overall package makes sense. Just remember that the IdeaPad Slim 3i range includes several configurations, so it's important to check the exact specifications before buying. At this price, the specific configuration you choose will ultimately determine how compelling the package is.

ASUS Wireless Mouse MD105 Review: Comfortable & Practical

We review the ASUS MD105 wireless mouse, exploring its ergonomic design, dual wireless connectivity, quiet clicks, battery setup and everyday usability.

ASUS Wireless Mouse MD105 Review: A Comfortable Mouse for Everyday Work

Asus

ASUS Wireless Mouse MD105

The ASUS MD105 is an ergonomic wireless mouse with quiet clicks, Bluetooth and 2.4GHz connectivity, and multi-device support, making it a practical choice for everyday work and browsing.

I have been using the ASUS Wireless Mouse MD105 for work and general day-to-day use, and its biggest strength is how straightforward it is.
It does not chase a long list of features that sound good on a spec sheet but rarely make a meaningful difference. Instead, ASUS has focused on the basics that matter in a daily-use mouse: a comfortable shape, dependable wireless connectivity, quiet clicks and the ability to work across multiple computers.
I used the MD105 in two different setups during my time with it. Connected to my MacBook over Bluetooth, it kept a USB port free, which is always useful on a laptop. I also paired it with a Windows machine using the bundled 2.4GHz wireless receiver. That gave me a good sense of how easily it fits into a two-device workflow.
This is clearly a productivity-focused mouse, not one built for gaming. It has a right-handed ergonomic shape, a thumb rest, two side buttons and an optical sensor with three DPI settings: 1,200, 1,600 and 2,400. It can also connect to up to three devices through Bluetooth and 2.4GHz wireless.
After using it across both machines, the MD105 feels like a sensible option for anyone who wants a comfortable, uncomplicated wireless mouse for work, browsing and everyday computing.
<h2>Asus Wireless Mouse MD105: Design and Build Quality</h2>
The <a title="ASUS Vivobooks Add Intel-Powered Flip Laptops, Snapdragon Battery Champs And AMD Power" href="https://www.editorji.com/amp/tech-news/asus-vivobooks-add-intel-powered-flip-laptops-snapdragon-battery-champs-and-amd-power-1789552049960" target="_blank">ASUS </a>MD105 does not follow the ultra-flat design usually associated with portable wireless mice. Instead, it uses a conventional ergonomic shape with a raised body, built-in thumb support and a profile designed primarily for right-handed users. It measures 110 &times; 72 &times; 43mm and weighs 66g without the battery.
That fuller shape is the point. If you spend hours browsing, writing documents, preparing presentations, editing spreadsheets or constantly switching between applications, a mouse that supports your palm properly makes far more sense than a tiny travel mouse that simply disappears into your bag.
The integrated thumb rest is particularly useful. It gives your thumb a natural place to sit, while the carved-out section on the other side makes room for your little finger. This makes the MD105 easier to grip and more comfortable to use over longer sessions. It is clearly better suited to people who prefer a traditional ergonomic mouse for everyday productivity, rather than those looking for an extremely compact design.
ASUS offers the MD105 in Milky White and Volt Green, both of which stand out in a category full of plain black mice. Its curved body and clean lines also make it feel more like a contemporary office accessory than a gaming peripheral.
Of course, ergonomics are personal. Its 72mm width and relatively tall 43mm profile may not be ideal for people with smaller hands, while left-handed users should look elsewhere altogether. It also takes up more space in a laptop bag than a compact travel mouse.
Still, for its intended audience, the MD105&rsquo;s design makes a lot of sense. It is the sort of mouse you can comfortably keep beside a laptop or desktop throughout a full working day.
<h2>Asus Wireless Mouse MD105: Dual Wireless Connectivity</h2>
One of the ASUS MD105&rsquo;s most useful features is its connectivity flexibility. It supports both Bluetooth and 2.4GHz wireless, giving you two simple ways to pair it with your devices.
The 2.4GHz connection uses the bundled USB receiver, while Bluetooth is particularly convenient for laptops, tablets and other compatible devices where you do not want to sacrifice a USB port. That came in handy with my MacBook, where I could pair the mouse directly over Bluetooth and keep the port free. ASUS claims a wireless range of up to 10 metres, which should be more than enough for a regular desk setup.
The MD105 can connect to up to three devices, making it practical for anyone who moves between a work laptop, personal desktop and perhaps a tablet. You do not need a separate mouse for every machine, and that becomes genuinely useful if you regularly switch between devices through the day.
The included USB receiver is also compact, measuring approximately 18.8 &times; 14.2 &times; 6.25mm, so it should not be especially cumbersome when left plugged into a desktop or laptop.
Compared with basic wireless mice that only work with a dedicated receiver, the MD105&rsquo;s dual-mode setup gives it a meaningful edge.
<h2>ASUS Wireless Mouse MD105: Quiet Clicks, Useful Extra Controls</h2>
Another particularly appealing feature of the MD105 is its quiet operation. ASUS specifically highlights its near-silent clicks, and it is one of those things that becomes far more valuable once you start using a quieter mouse regularly.
Loud clicks can be surprisingly distracting during a long workday, especially in an office, library, classroom or even a bedroom late at night. The MD105 keeps that noise to a minimum, making it a sensible option if you work around colleagues, family members or anyone who would rather not hear every click.
You also get two additional side buttons. They do not turn the MD105 into an overly complicated multi-button mouse, but add a little extra convenience. Depending on your operating system and the app you are using, they can be useful for browser back and forward navigation or other assigned shortcuts.
<h2>ASUS Wireless Mouse MD105: Battery and Everyday Practicality</h2>
The MD105 runs on a regular AA battery, and ASUS includes one in the box. That may feel old-school next to the rechargeable mice that dominate this category, but there is a practical upside to it.
When the battery runs out, you can simply replace it and get back to work. There is no need to wait for the mouse to charge, keep a cable on your desk or remember to plug it in overnight. For someone who wants a no-fuss mouse, that convenience is hard to argue with.
Of course, people who prefer rechargeable peripherals may find this less appealing. ASUS does not quote a fixed battery-life figure either, noting that endurance will vary depending on usage habits and computing conditions.
So, it is best not to make assumptions about exactly how long a single AA battery will last. Your usage pattern, the wireless mode you use and other conditions will all affect battery life.
<h2>ASUS Wireless Mouse MD105: Compatibility</h2>
ASUS lists support for Windows 11, macOS 12 and ChromeOS, covering the major platforms most people are likely to use at home or work.
Bluetooth makes it particularly convenient for modern laptops, especially those with limited USB ports. If you prefer the familiarity of a plug-and-play setup, the bundled 2.4GHz receiver is there as well.
The MD105 also keeps things simple. You do not need to install a large companion app just to use its core functions, which is exactly what many people want from an everyday wireless mouse.
<h2>ASUS Wireless Mouse MD105: Who Should Buy It?</h2>
The ASUS MD105 is best suited to people who value comfort and everyday practicality over a long feature list or gaming-focused specifications.
It is a good fit for office professionals and students who spend hours working at a computer, as well as laptop users who want the flexibility of both Bluetooth and 2.4GHz wireless connectivity. Its near-silent clicks also make it a sensible choice for shared offices, libraries, classrooms and quiet rooms at home.
It is equally useful for anyone who regularly moves between multiple computers and wants one mouse that can handle those setups.
Gamers chasing competitive performance should look at a dedicated gaming mouse instead. Left-handed users, as well as those who need an extremely compact mouse for travel, may also find the MD105 less suitable.
<h2>ASUS Wireless Mouse MD105: Verdict</h2>
The ASUS Wireless Mouse MD105 understands exactly what it is meant to be. It is not trying to compete with gaming mice or premium productivity models loaded with programmable controls. Instead, it focuses on the things that matter in everyday use: comfort, reliable wireless connectivity, quiet clicks and straightforward controls.
Its ergonomic body and thumb rest make it a good fit for long hours at a desk. Bluetooth and 2.4GHz connectivity add useful flexibility for multi-device setups, while the three DPI settings are more than adequate for regular work and browsing. The PTFE feet also help it glide smoothly across a desk mat or mouse pad.
The AA battery setup and lack of gaming-focused features are reasonable trade-offs at this price. Its larger, right-handed shape will not suit everyone, though, particularly left-handed users or those who want a tiny travel mouse.
At ASUS India&rsquo;s promotional price of ₹1,799, the MD105 is a sensible, accessible ergonomic wireless mouse. Just check the latest price before buying.

The Marshall Bromley 450 delivers powerful 400W sound, immersive 360° audio, premium amp-inspired design and impressive battery life, making it a stylish party speaker.

Marshall Bromley 450 Review: 400W Sound, 360° Audio & 40+ Hour Battery Life

Marshall

Marshall Bromley 450

The Marshall Bromley 450 combines iconic amp-inspired design with powerful 400W sound, 360&deg; audio and impressive battery life. It offers versatile connectivity and outdoor durability, but its ₹79,999 price and hefty build may give buyers pause.

Party speakers have never really been my thing. I understand the appeal of massive sound, thumping bass and enough volume to annoy an entire neighbourhood, but aesthetically, most of them leave me cold. The category is packed with large plastic boxes covered in RGB lighting, which might look perfect at home beside a pool or at a house party, but considerably less so in a nicely put-together living room.
So, when the Marshall Bromley 450 landed on my radar, I was genuinely curious.
At ₹79,999, it certainly isn&rsquo;t cheap, but Marshall is approaching the party-speaker formula rather differently. Instead of looking like oversized DJ equipment, the Bromley 450 borrows heavily from the brand&rsquo;s classic guitar amps, complete with that unmistakable rock-and-roll character.
There&rsquo;s plenty of muscle underneath, too. You get 400W of output, Marshall&rsquo;s 360-degree True Stereophonic sound and over 40 hours of claimed battery life.
I&rsquo;ve spent the past two weeks using the Bromley 450 at home, pushing it hard and, crucially, actually living with it. And I have some thoughts.
<h2>Marshall Bromley 450: A Classic Rock Look With a Modern Party Twist</h2>
The Marshall Bromley 450 immediately stands out with its unmistakable rock-and-roll aesthetic. The black-and-brass finish feels much more refined than the flashy designs you typically see on party speakers. The textured black vinyl covering gives it that classic Marshall amp character, while the brass logo, control knobs, and accents add just enough contrast to keep things interesting.
One of my favourite touches is the lighting tucked behind the front grille. Instead of going overboard with aggressive RGB effects, Marshall keeps things relatively understated, with three lighting presets that gently pulse and respond to whatever you&rsquo;re listening to. It adds some atmosphere without making the speaker look like a gaming accessory.
At 12.32kg, the Bromley 450 isn&rsquo;t exactly lightweight, although it is considerably easier to handle than the 23.9kg Bromley 750. There&rsquo;s a built-in handle to help with carrying it, but wheels would have made transporting it around much more convenient.
The IP55 rating is another practical addition, offering protection from dust and light water exposure. It even handled a surprise drizzle outdoors without any issues.
<h2>Marshall Bromley 450: Serious Hardware Under the Hood</h2>
The Bromley 450 isn&rsquo;t just about looking like a classic Marshall amp; there&rsquo;s plenty going on behind that grille. It packs two 6.5-inch woofers dedicated to handling the lower frequencies, along with four 2-inch full-range drivers that take care of vocals and the mid-range detail.
Marshall has also added a pair of passive radiators to help move more air and give the speaker deeper bass, reaching down to 42Hz. Powering the setup is a hefty 400W RMS output through custom-tuned Class-D amplification.
In practical terms, the Bromley 450 can get seriously loud, with output reaching up to 100dB at a distance of one metre. More importantly, it manages to maintain its composure when you start pushing the volume.
<h2>Marshall Bromley 450: Big, Balanced Sound That Fills the Room</h2>
I threw pretty much everything at the Bromley 450, from Fleetwood Mac and Daft Punk to Kendrick Lamar and Hans Zimmer, and it handled the mix of genres surprisingly well. Unlike many party speakers that push bass so hard that everything else gets lost, the Bromley 450 keeps the low end controlled and purposeful.
Daft Punk&rsquo;s &ldquo;Get Lucky&rdquo; was a great example. The bass had plenty of punch and warmth, without becoming boomy or overpowering. It won&rsquo;t shake the room like a speaker with a massive dedicated subwoofer, but the combination of its woofers and passive radiators delivers more than enough low-end presence for a living room or outdoor gathering.
What impressed me more was the detail higher up the frequency range. Guitars sounded lively, vocals stayed clear, and acoustic instruments retained their natural character. Even above 80% volume, I didn&rsquo;t notice any obvious distortion or unpleasant harshness.
The 360-degree True Stereophonic sound also works remarkably well. During a gathering, I could hear a consistent, immersive sound whether I was standing in front of the speaker or behind it. There&rsquo;s no obvious sweet spot, making it ideal when you want the entire room to be part of the listening experience.
<h2>Marshall Bromley 450: A Connectivity Powerhouse With Bluetooth 5.3</h2>
The Bromley 450 feels more like an all-in-one audio system than a conventional party speaker. Wireless connectivity is handled by Bluetooth 5.3, with support for SBC and AAC, while LC3 and Auracast &mdash; referred to as Broadcast by Marshall &mdash; add some welcome future-proofing.
The wired options are even more impressive. You get a 3.5mm AUX connection, RCA inputs, USB Type-C, and dual XLR/6.35mm combo inputs. That makes the speaker surprisingly versatile, whether you&rsquo;re connecting older audio equipment, plugging in instruments, or using it for a more involved setup.
Marshall&rsquo;s companion app gets the job done, although it feels a little basic. I would have liked more control over the EQ and lighting effects. Still, the presets are well judged, and the lighting manages to add atmosphere without making the speaker feel unnecessarily flashy.
<h2>Marshall Bromley 450: Battery Life That Actually Delivers</h2>
Marshall&rsquo;s claim of more than 40 hours of wireless playback sounded a little optimistic to me, so I decided to put it through a real-world test rather than simply taking the advertised figure at face value.
I used the Bromley 450 at around 50% volume for a week, which is more than sufficient for casual listening and background music at a gathering. The battery held up remarkably well, giving me roughly 38 hours of mixed playback before I had to reach for the charger. That&rsquo;s seriously impressive for a speaker of this size.
Running low isn&rsquo;t much of a headache either. A quick 20-minute charge can restore up to six hours of playback, which is handy when you&rsquo;re in a hurry.
Another thoughtful touch is the replaceable LFP battery. Once the battery eventually starts losing capacity, you can replace the pack instead of having to retire the entire speaker.
<h2>Marshall Bromley 450: A Premium Party Speaker That Looks as Good as It Sounds</h2>
The Marshall Bromley 450 is one of those speakers that manages to make a strong impression before you even press play. Its classic amplifier-inspired design looks fantastic in a living room, while the sound quality backs up the visual appeal. Vocals remain clear, treble has plenty of detail, and the bass delivers a satisfying punch without becoming messy, even when you push the volume.
The 360-degree sound projection is another big win, especially when you&rsquo;re entertaining. It spreads audio evenly around the room instead of forcing everyone into one listening position. Battery life is equally impressive, with more than 40 hours of playback, fast charging, and a replaceable battery pack. The microphone and instrument inputs are also a lot of fun, particularly for impromptu karaoke or jam sessions. Add the IP55 rating, and it feels well suited to parties and outdoor use.
There are, however, a few things to consider. At around ₹79,999, the Bromley 450 is undeniably expensive. Its 12kg-plus weight also means portability is limited, despite the built-in handle. The companion app could do with more advanced controls for EQ and lighting, too.
Still, I think Marshall has struck an excellent balance between style, performance, and practicality here. If you want a speaker that can handle a house party while looking genuinely premium in your home, and the price isn&rsquo;t a concern, the Bromley 450 is an easy recommendation.

OPPO Reno 16 series brings HoloVerse 3D design, AI Snap Key, IP69K durability and AMOLED displays, with an expected launch on July 2

Oppo Reno 16 Series To Feature AI Snap Key, IP69K Protection, and Stunning New Design

OPPO Reno 16 series launches on July 2 in India with HoloVerse 3D design, AI Snap Key, IP69K durability and AMOLED displays.

<h3 data-start="628" data-end="892">Oppo has revealed key details of the Reno 16 series ahead of its Indian launch. The lineup introduces a new HoloVerse 3D design, AI Snap Key shortcut button, and flagship-grade durability with IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings.</h3>
&nbsp;

Oppo has started teasing key features of its upcoming Reno 16 series ahead of its India launch, expected on July 2. The new lineup is set to bring a refreshed design language, a dedicated AI shortcut button, and improved durability, as the company looks to further differentiate the Reno series in the increasingly crowded premium mid-range smartphone segment.
Among the biggest highlights are what Oppo calls India's first HoloVerse 3D design and the debut of the AI Snap Key on a Reno smartphone. The company is also placing significant emphasis on durability, with the Reno 16 series set to arrive with some of the highest ingress protection ratings currently available on a smartphone.
<h2>Oppo Reno 16 Series Design</h2>
Design has always been one of the Reno series' defining characteristics, and Oppo appears to be doubling down on that philosophy with the Reno 16 lineup. Inspired by planets and celestial imagery, the company has introduced a new 3D Pop Planet design that creates the illusion of a floating planet beneath the rear panel.
The effect is achieved using a dual-layer optical structure featuring a graphic layer and millions of microscopic lenses that manipulate light to create a naked-eye 3D effect. According to Oppo, the visual appearance changes depending on viewing angles and lighting conditions, giving the phone a more dynamic look.
The new design will be available exclusively on the Starry White variant, while the Reno 16 series will also come in Twilight Violet and Stellar Purple colour options. Oppo has further enhanced the aesthetic with a floating glitter finish and a redesigned camera ring that it calls the Dynamic Stellar Ring.
Beyond the rear panel, Oppo is also focusing on ergonomics. The Reno 16 features a 6.32-inch AMOLED display with ultra-thin bezels and a 120Hz refresh rate, while the Reno 16c gets a larger 6.57-inch AMOLED panel. Despite housing large displays and camera systems, the Reno 16 measures just 8.22mm thick and weighs 182g.
<h2>Oppo Reno 16 Series AI Snap Key</h2>
The Reno 16 series will also mark the debut of the AI Snap Key, a dedicated side-mounted button designed to provide quick access to AI-powered features and shortcuts.
A single press can save on-screen content directly to Oppo's Mind Space feature, while a long press records a voice note and a double press launches Mind Space instantly. Users can also customise the button to trigger frequently used functions such as the camera, flashlight, translator or voice recorder.
Oppo says the feature works alongside AI Mind Pilot and integrates services such as Gemini, Perplexity and ChatGPT. The idea is to create a central hub where users can save information, organise content, compare AI-generated responses and quickly retrieve previously stored material.
<h2>Oppo Reno 16 Series Durability</h2>
Alongside its focus on design and AI, Oppo is positioning the Reno 16 series as one of the most durable devices in its category. The smartphones will feature IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K certifications, offering protection against dust, water immersion and high-pressure water jets.
The Reno 16 series also uses an aerospace-grade aluminium frame, which Oppo claims delivers significantly higher strength and better drop resistance compared to conventional plastic frames. Additional usability features include Splash Touch and Glove Touch support, allowing the display to remain responsive even when hands are wet or when gloves are being worn.
With the Reno 16 series, Oppo appears to be taking a three-pronged approach: eye-catching design, practical AI tools and improved durability. More details, including pricing and availability, are expected when the smartphones officially launch in India on July 2.

Redmi Turbo 5 packs a premium build, Dimensity 8500 Ultra, 7540mAh battery and 100W charging. Is it the best phone under ₹40,000?

Redmi Turbo 5 Review: Premium Hardware, Aggressive Pricing

Redmi

Redmi Turbo 5

The Redmi Turbo 5 combines a premium glass-and-metal design, capable cameras, strong gaming performance, a massive 7540mAh battery and 100W charging, making it one of the most compelling smartphones currently available under ₹40,000.

Smartphone prices have been creeping up steadily, and it's hard to ignore. Things that were once standard in the ₹25,000&ndash;₹30,000 range have gradually shifted to ₹40,000, ₹50,000, or beyond. So when Xiaomi priced the Redmi Turbo 5 at ₹35,999, it naturally caught my attention.
Because the spec sheet alone makes it look like it should cost considerably more. You're getting a glass-and-metal build, a crisp 1.5K AMOLED display, LPDDR5X Ultra RAM, UFS 4.1 storage, a 7540mAh battery, 100W charging, and the Dimensity 8500 Ultra handling the processing. That's a strong lineup at any price point.
Which raises the obvious question: where has Xiaomi cut corners?
After spending time with the device, the answer is surprisingly reassuring. There are a few compromises here and there, but the Turbo 5 feels far more complete than its price would suggest. Redmi positions it as their fastest phone yet, and while the performance holds up, that's not the whole story. This is a well-rounded device that delivers across most of the areas that actually matter.
<h2>Redmi Turbo 5 Review: Pricing</h2>
Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Turbo 5 at ₹35,999 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant, while the 12GB RAM model is priced at ₹38,999 under the company's introductory launch offers.
Buyers can sweeten the deal further with an instant ₹2,000 discount on select SBI, ICICI, and Axis Bank credit cards. Once the promotional pricing ends, the two variants will retail at ₹37,999 and ₹40,999, respectively.
The smartphone is available in Turbo White, Nitro Blue, and Asphalt Black colourways, with sales beginning on June 19 through Amazon, mi.com, and authorised retail outlets.
In my opinion, pricing is one of the Turbo 5's biggest strengths. Given the premium build, large battery, fast charging, and overall hardware package on offer, this feels like a smartphone that could easily have been priced significantly higher.
<h2>Redmi Turbo 5 Review: Design</h2>
Before I even switched the Redmi Turbo 5 on, the design and build had already won me over. Xiaomi has done an excellent job with the fit and finish, and this is one of those phones that immediately feels more expensive than its asking price.
The Turbo 5 uses a glass-and-metal construction, with Gorilla Glass 7i protecting the display, reinforced glass at the rear, and an aluminium frame tying everything together. It's a combination that's usually reserved for pricier devices, and it gives the phone a reassuringly solid feel.
What I liked most, however, was the rear finish. The matte glass not only feels great in the hand, but also does a fantastic job of resisting smudges. Even after a few days of constant use, it never turned into the fingerprint magnet that so many glossy phones become.
Xiaomi has also shown some restraint with the camera design. Rather than a giant camera module dominating the rear panel, the Turbo 5 gets two neatly integrated camera rings that help the phone stand out without looking flashy.
Speaking of flashy, the Pixel Matrix lighting around the cameras adds a touch of fun. It can react to incoming notifications, music playback, charging, and gaming events. It's not a feature you'll buy the phone for, but it does give the Turbo 5 a bit of personality.
Perhaps most impressive is how Xiaomi has packaged everything. Despite carrying a huge 7,540mAh battery, the phone remains relatively slim at 8.18mm and weighs 204g. Add IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K protection into the mix, and you end up with a device that feels every bit as premium as it looks.
<h2>Redmi Turbo 5 Review: Display &amp; Audio</h2>
The Redmi Turbo 5 carries a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and after a few weeks with it, this is easily one of the device's strongest suits.
Sharpness is immediately apparent. Text renders cleanly, images hold plenty of detail, and the 120Hz refresh rate keeps everyday navigation feeling smooth and responsive throughout.
Where it really earns its keep, though, is during media consumption.
The display packs 12-bit colour depth, which translates to support for over 68 billion colours. It's not something you actively notice, but it does make gradients look smoother and images appear more lifelike overall.
I watched a fair amount of Netflix and YouTube on this, and Dolby Vision content looks genuinely impressive. Colours are rich and well-saturated, contrast holds up well, and HDR scenes carry a sense of depth that actually adds to the experience rather than just checking a box.
Outdoor visibility has been equally strong. Xiaomi quotes a peak brightness of 3500 nits, and while that's not something I can verify independently, I had zero issues using the phone under Delhi's punishing afternoon sun. The display stayed perfectly readable throughout.
On the audio side, the stereo speakers put in some solid work. Volume levels are generous, and they handled everything from YouTube to gaming without complaint during my testing. The sound profile isn't the most refined I've come across, but for day-to-day media use, they're more than adequate.
<h2>Redmi Turbo 5 Review: Cameras</h2>
Heading into this review, the cameras weren't something I expected to spend much time praising. Xiaomi has clearly built the Turbo 5 around performance, so I assumed photography would take a back seat. It didn't, quite.
The setup consists of a 50MP Sony primary sensor and an 8MP ultrawide. Nothing that looks exceptional on a spec sheet, but the main camera produces images that are genuinely easy to like.
A lot of that comes down to Xiaomi's processing approach. Rather than cranking up saturation and HDR to make shots look dramatic, the Turbo 5 leans toward balanced, natural-looking output. Detail retention is good, dynamic range holds up well across most situations, and colours feel accurate without looking flat.
Daylight shooting is where it's most convincing. Landscapes, street photography, portraits, the main camera handles them all with consistency, and the results rarely need much post-processing before they're worth sharing.
The ultrawide is a step down, as expected with an 8MP sensor. It gets the job done when you need a broader frame, but detail falls off noticeably compared to the primary camera.
Low-light performance also held up better than I anticipated. The camera manages noise reasonably well, retains a decent level of detail, and tends to render warmer tones that make night shots look more natural than clinical.
Turbo Snap, Xiaomi's burst mode, was something I ended up using more than expected. It's fast enough to be genuinely useful when shooting moving subjects, and it works without much fuss.
Video tops out at 4K 60fps with HDR10+ support. Footage carries the same natural quality as stills, with colours that look good without being overdone.
The 20MP front camera rounds things off well. Sharpness isn't class-leading, but skin tones look natural and the overall quality is solid enough for social media and calls.
<h2>Redmi Turbo 5 Review: Performance</h2>
Performance is likely the primary reason most people will look at the Turbo 5, and it holds up well. The Dimensity 8500 Ultra chipset sits at the core, backed by LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, a combination that looks strong on paper and follows through in practice.
Benchmark numbers back that up, with the phone comfortably clearing the two-million mark on AnTuTu, placing it among the more capable devices in this price range.
Numbers aside, though, the real-world experience is what counts.
Day-to-day use feels snappy and responsive throughout. Apps open without hesitation, multitasking stays smooth, and I didn't run into any meaningful slowdowns across my testing period. Whether I was switching between social apps, streaming content, editing photos, or keeping a heavy browser session going, the phone kept pace without complaint.
Gaming performance holds up just as well. BGMI runs at up to 120fps, and during a sustained half-hour session, frame rates averaged around 116fps with no significant drops or stutters to speak of.
Thermal management is worth calling out too. Even after longer gaming sessions, the phone stayed cool and comfortable, something that isn't always a given at this price point.
Is it the outright fastest option available here? Not quite. But after extended use, it's clear the Turbo 5 delivers well beyond what most users will actually demand of it day to day.
<h2>Redmi Turbo 5 Review: Software</h2>
The Turbo 5 runs HyperOS 3 on top of Android 16, and the experience is largely positive. If you've spent time with a recent Xiaomi phone, the interface will feel familiar from the start.
There's plenty on offer feature-wise. HyperIsland, extensive customisation options, and AI tools woven throughout the system give you a lot to work with. The AI editing features inside the Photos app are genuinely useful, and Gemini integration is a welcome addition for anyone who leans on AI tools regularly.
The interface stays smooth and responsive day-to-day, and I didn't run into any notable bugs or glitches throughout my testing.
The one area that still needs work is bloatware. There's a fair number of pre-installed apps that most users will want to clear out fairly quickly. It's something Xiaomi has been called out on before, and it remains an issue here.
On the software support front, things look more reassuring. Four Android version updates and six years of security patches is a commitment that gives the Turbo 5 some genuine long-term value.
<h2>Redmi Turbo 5 Battery &amp; Charging: Two-Day Battery Beast</h2>
If there's one area where the Turbo 5 truly stands apart, it's battery life.
The 7540mAh cell is large by any measure, and the real-world endurance matches the spec. Throughout my testing, I consistently hit seven to eight hours of screen-on time even with fairly demanding usage. For most people, this is a comfortable two-day phone. Lighter users could realistically push it further.
What makes it better is that Xiaomi hasn't traded charging speed for capacity. The Turbo 5 supports 100W HyperCharge, and the charger is still included in the box &mdash; something worth noting as that becomes increasingly rare. A full charge from near empty takes around an hour, and even a quick 10 to 15-minute top-up is enough to see you through the rest of the day without worry.
The addition of 27W reverse wired charging is a thoughtful touch, letting you top up accessories or another phone when needed.
<h2>Redmi Turbo 5 Verdict: Easy Recommendation</h2>
Two weeks with the Redmi Turbo 5 make it pretty clear what Xiaomi is on about this one.
The performance is excellent, gaming is smooth, charging is fast, and the battery life is among the best I've seen at this price. But what stayed with me most was how well-rounded the whole package is.
You're getting a premium glass-and-metal design, a great Dolby Vision display, dependable cameras, flagship-grade memory and storage, solid durability, and a software support commitment that keeps the phone relevant well into the future.
The ultrawide camera isn't particularly impressive, and the bloatware situation in HyperOS still needs addressing. But these feel like minor footnotes against everything else the Turbo 5 gets right.
At ₹35,999, this is one of the more compelling smartphones available right now. In a market where prices keep climbing and value keeps shrinking, Xiaomi has put together something that feels genuinely aggressive, and more importantly, it feels like a return to what made Redmi worth paying attention to in the first place.
If you're shopping in the ₹35,000 to ₹40,000 bracket, the Redmi Turbo 5 is an easy recommendation.

<h3 data-start="1823" data-end="1984">A beautifully built 1.2kg ultraportable with a superb OLED display, excellent battery life and enough power to handle demanding productivity workflows with ease.</h3>

Asus has quietly become one of the most reliable names in the premium thin-and-light laptop space. While plenty of brands have chased the ultraportable dream, few have managed to consistently balance design, performance, battery life, and display quality as well as Asus has with its Zenbook lineup.
The Zenbook S14 continues that approach. Despite weighing just 1.2kg, it packs some serious hardware, including Intel's latest Core Ultra processors, a gorgeous 3K OLED display, a sizeable 77Wh battery, and configurations with up to 32GB of RAM. On paper, it ticks almost every box you would expect from a modern premium ultraportable.
The catch, of course, is the price. The range starts at ₹1,34,990 for the Core Ultra 5 model with 16GB RAM, while the Core Ultra 9 variant begins at ₹1,99,990. The top-end version I tested, equipped with 32GB RAM and 1TB storage, comes in at ₹2,49,990.
That raises the obvious question: is it worth the asking price?
<h2>Asus Zenbook S14 Review: Design</h2>
The Zenbook S14 makes a strong first impression, but not because of its specs sheet. What immediately caught my attention was the finish on the lid. Asus has spent years refining its Ceraluminum material, and the version used on the 2026 Zenbook S14 feels like the most polished iteration yet.
I first got a look at Ceraluminum on an Asus laptop at IFA Berlin in 2024, and even back then, it felt like something genuinely different. Two years later, the material feels even more mature. The surface has a distinctive texture that not only gives the laptop character but also does a fantastic job keeping fingerprints at bay. It adds a bit of grip too, which is always appreciated on a machine this slim.
Speaking of slim, the Zenbook S14 measures just 1.1cm thick and weighs only 1.2kg. Despite those dimensions, it never feels fragile. The chassis is impressively rigid, with very little flex anywhere on the body. It also meets the US MIL-STD 810H durability standard, which adds some reassurance for anyone carrying it around daily. The CNC-machined Ceraluminum construction plays a big role in making the laptop feel this solid.
Asus has also taken a more understated approach to the overall design. The decorative lines that once gave older Zenbook models a more artistic look have disappeared, replaced by a cleaner and more restrained aesthetic. The subtle Zenbook branding on the lid and the small Asus arrow on the trackpad are about the only visual flourishes you'll find.
One of the more interesting design details sits just above the keyboard. The geometric grille looks like part of the speaker setup, but it actually forms part of the cooling system. Underneath sits a vapour chamber that helps keep temperatures under control without adding unnecessary bulk.
The hinge deserves a mention as well. It opens to around 120 degrees, feels sturdy throughout its range of motion, and does a good job holding the display exactly where you position it. While the lid itself has a little flex, it never feels flimsy, nor does the screen wobble when you're typing.
Port selection is surprisingly good for such a thin laptop. You get USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, HDMI 2.1, a 3.5mm audio jack, and two Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports that also handle charging via the bundled 68W adapter. Wireless connectivity includes Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0. My only real complaints are the lack of an SD card slot and the fact that both USB-C ports sit on the left side, limiting charging flexibility.
<h2>Asus Zenbook S14 Review: Display</h2>
If there's one area where the Zenbook S14 immediately impresses, it's the display. Asus has equipped the laptop with a 14-inch 3K OLED panel, and after spending time with it, I'd easily rank it among the best displays in this category.
The specifications are excellent to begin with. You get a 2880 x 1800 resolution, a taller 16:10 aspect ratio, a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 500 nits of typical brightness, with HDR content capable of reaching 1100 nits. More importantly, the real-world experience lives up to the numbers.
Everything from colours to contrast looks fantastic. Images appear vibrant without feeling oversaturated, blacks are properly inky, and the OLED panel delivers the kind of depth that makes content look genuinely premium. The display covers 100% of the DCI-P3 colour space, is Pantone Validated, supports 1.07 billion colours, and carries VESA DisplayHDR True Black 1000 certification. The rated 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio is immediately noticeable, especially when watching movies or working with photos.
The viewing experience is equally impressive. Thanks to the slim bezels and 90% screen-to-body ratio, the display feels immersive whether you're streaming shows, watching sports, or simply browsing the web. The anti-glare coating also does a surprisingly good job reducing reflections in bright environments.
Asus has included TUV Rheinland and SGS Eye Care certifications as well, which help make extended work sessions easier on the eyes. Touch support adds another layer of versatility, and stylus compatibility will be useful for note-taking, sketching, or quick annotations.
If I had one complaint, it's that the touchscreen surface tends to pick up fingerprints rather quickly. If you're regularly interacting with the display, you'll probably find yourself reaching for a microfibre cloth more often than you'd like.
<h2>Asus Zenbook S14 Review: Keyboard &amp; Trackpad</h2>
Asus has been making some of the best laptop keyboards in the business for a while now, and the Zenbook S14 continues that trend. Despite its slim profile, the keyboard feels comfortable and easy to adapt to. In fact, I was back to my usual typing speed almost immediately, which is always a positive sign.
The chiclet-style keys offer decent travel and a reassuring amount of feedback. Key spacing is good, and although there is a slight amount of deck flex, it never became noticeable during everyday use. Naturally, the layout feels a little tighter than on a larger laptop, but that's simply the trade-off that comes with a compact 14-inch machine. Whether I was writing articles, replying to emails, or working through long documents, the keyboard remained consistently comfortable.
The trackpad is where things become a little less straightforward. The large glass surface feels smooth and responsive, and gesture navigation works flawlessly. Asus' Smart Gesture shortcuts are genuinely useful too, allowing quick control over brightness and volume.
However, the sheer size of the touchpad occasionally led to accidental touches, and I found the physical clicks lacked the crisp tactile feedback I'd have preferred.
The speakers are decent for a laptop this size. They're perfectly fine for video calls, YouTube videos, and casual streaming, but if you're watching a film or listening to music, a good pair of headphones will still provide a noticeably better experience.
<h2>Asus Zenbook S14 Review: Webcam and Speakers</h2>
One feature I genuinely expected to see on a laptop at this price point was a fingerprint scanner, but Asus has skipped it entirely. Instead, authentication is handled through Windows Hello facial recognition using the infrared webcam. Fortunately, the system works reliably and unlocks the laptop quickly.
The 1080p webcam itself is quite good. Image quality is sharp, HDR performance is handled well, and it adapts nicely to changing lighting conditions, making it more than capable for video calls and online meetings.
Asus has also added a few useful extras. Presence detection can automatically lock the laptop when you walk away and wake it when you return. The webcam can be disabled using the F10 key, although I would have preferred a physical privacy shutter for added reassurance. Studio Effects and AI noise cancellation are also available through the MyAsus app, helping improve call quality.
The speakers are surprisingly capable for such a slim machine. They deliver clear, detailed audio with a touch more bass than expected, though headphones still offer the better listening experience.
<h2>Asus Zenbook S14 Review: Performance</h2>
The Zenbook S14 I tested is powered by Intel's Core Ultra 9 386H, and for the kind of laptop this is, I never found myself wanting more performance. It may not be Intel's absolute top-tier mobile chip, but in everyday use, it feels exceptionally fast.
Everything from launching apps to editing photos in Photoshop happened without delay. I even pushed the machine with some 4K video editing, and it handled the workload comfortably. Just as importantly, thermals remained excellent throughout. Even under sustained load, the chassis stayed surprisingly cool.
Where the Zenbook S14 really shines is in multitasking. My workflow usually involves far too many browser tabs, multiple Office documents, Slack, Outlook, music streaming, Lightroom, and Photoshop running simultaneously. The laptop handled this chaotic workload effortlessly, with no noticeable slowdowns.
Helping matters are 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of storage, which make the machine feel ready for years of demanding productivity work.
The benchmark results back up the real-world experience. The laptop scored 489 and 2951 in Cinebench 2026 single-core and multi-core tests, respectively. Geekbench returned scores of 2855 and 16632. CrossMark delivered an overall score of 2150, while PCMark came in at 8340. Creative workloads were handled particularly well, with PugetBench scores of 8009 in Photoshop, 4303 in Lightroom Classic, and 27274 in DaVinci Resolve 21.
Gaming, however, isn't the Zenbook's primary focus. The integrated Intel graphics are perfectly adequate for everyday tasks and light gaming, but anyone expecting a dedicated gaming machine should look elsewhere. Cloud gaming services can help, but native gaming performance remains limited.
The platform also includes an NPU capable of 49 TOPS, allowing the Zenbook S14 to comfortably support Microsoft's Copilot+ AI features and other on-device AI workloads.
<h2>Asus Zenbook S14 Review: Battery</h2>
Battery life is easily one of the Zenbook S14's strongest features. Asus has paired a sizeable 77Wh battery with Intel's efficient Core Ultra platform, and the results are excellent. During my testing, with brightness set to around 80%, I regularly managed between 12 and 13 hours of screen-on time. Given my fairly demanding workload, that's an impressive result. Lighter users should have little trouble stretching that figure to 15 hours or more.
Charging is handled by a bundled 68W USB-C adapter, which takes the battery to roughly 50% in just over half an hour and completes a full charge in around 90 minutes. In short, this is a laptop that's genuinely comfortable to use all day without carrying a charger.
<h2>Asus Zenbook S14 Review: Conclusion</h2>
The Zenbook S14 feels like a laptop that has been carefully thought through from top to bottom. Asus has combined a premium design, a fantastic OLED display, excellent battery life, and more performance than most users will ever need into a package that weighs just 1.2kg.
What stood out to me most was how effortless the overall experience felt. The Core Ultra 9 386H paired with 32GB of RAM breezes through demanding workloads, while the 77Wh battery comfortably lasts through a full day of work. The Ceraluminum chassis feels sturdy and premium, and the display is easily one of the best you'll find on an ultraportable.
There are a few compromises. The missing SD card slot is hard to ignore, the oversized trackpad can occasionally be a little awkward, and gaming isn't really this machine's forte. The ₹2,49,990 price tag also places it firmly in premium territory.
Still, if productivity, portability, battery life, and everyday performance are your priorities, the Zenbook S14 is an easy laptop to recommend.

Realme Buds Air8 Pro

The Realme Buds Air8 Pro combines flagship-grade sound, effective ANC, excellent call quality and massive battery life, making it one of the strongest premium TWS options under ₹7,000.

The Realme Buds Air Pro series is well known for offering high-end features at accessible prices. Now, the new Realme Buds Air8 Pro look to push those limits directly into premium territory. At ₹6,999, these earbuds try to shake up the mid-range market by delivering top-tier capabilities usually found only on flagship models.
With a dual-driver setup, separate dual-DAC hardware tuning, and smart bone-conduction call tech, the specifications look incredible. However, paper specs do not always mean a perfect real-world performance. I used the Master Black version as my main daily pair for a week, testing them during hectic subway commutes, heavy workouts, and focused music sessions to see if they actually live up to the hype.
<h2>Design &amp; Comfort</h2>
The <a title="Realme Buds Air 7 Pro Review: Premium Sound, Killer Looks, Budget Price" href="https://www.editorji.com/tech-news/gadget-review/realme-buds-air-7-pro-review-premium-sound-killer-looks-budget-price-1749725394345" target="_blank">Realme Buds Air</a>8 Pro makes it obvious right away that this lineup is growing up. They have finally dropped the plasticky, budget vibe of the older generations for something that actually feels premium. To get here, Realme brought back industrial designer Naoto Fukasawa to shape the look of the case and the buds.
The charging case swaps out the old all-matte styling for a mix of textures. The main body stays matte, but the top has this flat, "plateau-style" lid with a shiny, mirror-like finish and a tiny logo. Testing the Master Black version, I really liked the contrast&mdash;it gives the whole package a very clean, stealthy look.
For the physical layout, you get a Type-C port right on the top edge of the case. The reset button is hidden inside, sitting right between the two earpieces.
The buds themselves are incredibly light. They match the case by dropping a glossy, reflective strip right down the stems against a matte housing. Shape-wise, they fit the ear canal naturally and block out a good amount of noise on their own. I wore them for three or four hours straight during long writing stints and honestly forgot they were even in. They do not budge during fast outdoor runs or sweaty workouts either.
An IP55 rating means rain and sweat are not an issue. Do not jump into a pool with them, but they handled humid afternoons and accidental splashes without breaking a sweat.
The big catch is that all that gloss comes with a headache. The shiny lid and stems collect fingerprints the second you touch them, so you are constantly wiping them down. Even worse, despite being pretty careful, those glossy parts picked up fine micro-scratches within just a few days, which definitely hurts that premium vibe over time.
<h2>Audio Quality</h2>
The internal speaker configuration is where the Buds Air8 Pro actually leave competitors behind. After more than six years of playing and analyzing music, I always lean on my own ears instead of trusting a spreadsheet or digital benchmark score.
If you pay close attention to your music, you know great wireless buds need to pick up the easily missed details. I am always listening for quiet guitar riffs tucked into a bridge, a synth note panned hard to one side, or the precise stereo spacing that gives a track its atmosphere. Plenty of options at this price try to impress you by forcing a heavy, fake bass boost that just muddies everything else. The Buds Air8 Pro skip that trap, focusing on a clean, balanced output that preserves the true character of the track.
Realme does this using what they call a Premier Coaxial Dual-DAC Driver System. It combines an 11mm dynamic woofer for low-end kick with a 6mm micro-planar tweeter for crisp high frequencies. Crucially, each driver has its own dedicated DAC chip to keep frequency tuning independent and sharp. For high-res wireless playback, the buds use the LHDC 5.0 codec, supporting 24-bit/192kHz streaming at bitrates up to 1Mbps.
I threw a chaotic mix of genres at these to see how they handle different setups. Listening to old classics like Hemant Kumar&rsquo;s Jaane Woh Kaise or Lata Mangeshkar&rsquo;s Lag Ja Gale, the vocals stayed incredibly crisp and forward, capturing the raw performance without sounding hollow or distant. The distinct left-to-right instrument panning on the remastered version of The Beatles' Hey Jude came through with a genuinely wide sense of space.
Switching to modern hip-hop like Divine's Azadi, Khatta Flow by Kr$na and Seedhe Maut, or Kendrick Lamar's Not Like Us, the 11mm woofer dropped a tight, punchy low-end groove that never bled into the mid-range. Even with dense, instrument-heavy arrangements like Coke Studio's Paar Channa De or Afreen Afreen, the overall separation held firm, keeping the percussion layers and traditional strings from merging into a single blur.
If you like tweaking your audio balance, you can open the Realme Link app to dial in custom EQ profiles. The sub-bass can occasionally feel slightly loose on exceptionally busy tracks, but that is a tiny detail only sound purists will catch. For a standard consumer earbud, the sheer clarity here punches well above the price tag.
<h2>ANC &amp; Call Quality</h2>
The specs sheet for the Buds Air8 Pro claims an impressive 55dB ultra-depth noise cancellation and a 5000Hz wide bandwidth. When you actually turn ANC on, it immediately wraps you in a thick blanket of silence. Taking these on regular metro commutes and through chaotic, packed markets, they easily isolated my environment by drowning out low-frequency engine rumbles and heavy traffic hums.
It does not create a total vacuum, though. In real-world conditions, I would say it cuts out about 70 to 75 percent of ambient noise. Sharper, sudden sounds like mechanical keyboard clacks or crinkling paper manage to slip through, even if they are heavily muffled. While it is perfect for locking into a playlist or focusing on a task, I felt a noticeable "cabin pressure" or ear fatigue after using the ANC for a few hours straight. Because of this, I would not advise keeping any ANC earbuds in for too long. You also have to change modes yourself using the stems or the companion app, since there is no smart, automatic switching based on your environment.
The real win here is the call quality. Realme packed three microphones into each earbud alongside a dedicated Voice Processing Unit that uses bone conduction to pick up jaw vibrations. I tested this by calling a friend who usually hates the audio quality of whatever review units I am testing. I dialed him right from the middle of a roaring metro crowd, and he was completely stunned by the clarity. He literally told me it sounded like I was sitting in a quiet office. Even so, the actual texture of the voice still has some room for improvement. Realme promises a 90dB drop in background clutter and handles wind up to 10m/s. Whether I was down in a subway station, walking outdoors, or gaming in a quiet room, my voice stayed perfectly forward and clear.
<h2>Connectivity, Controls, and AI Features</h2>
On the connectivity front, the Buds Air8 Pro run on the Bluetooth 6.1 standard, maintaining a steady connection anywhere within a ten-meter radius. Syncing is instant thanks to Google Fast Pair. The ability to link three devices at once is incredibly handy, allowing you to hop your audio between a phone, tablet, and laptop without going through the pairing process every single time. It handles standard SBC and AAC codecs, alongside high-res LHDC 5.0 streaming.
You will need the Realme Link app to manage everything. Testing the buds alongside a <a title="Realme 16T 5G Review: Battery anxiety officially cancelled " href="https://www.editorji.com/tech-news/gadget-review/realme-16t-5g-review-battery-anxiety-officially-cancelled-1779439487282" target="_blank">Realme phone</a> really highlights how tight the brand's ecosystem has become. The app opens up deep customization, from personalized EQ settings to remapping touch inputs. The stems respond well to taps and slides for on-the-fly adjustments like changing volume, though a quick double-tap can occasionally misfire if you are in a rush.
The automated features work without a hitch. Smart wear detection stops your media the second you pull a bud out, and you can even set them to pick up phone calls automatically when you lift an earpiece from the case. Realme also rolled out its NEXTAI features in the app. The standard voice assistant takes care of basic queries, but it still feels a bit half-baked, occasionally scrambling words or misinterpreting commands.
The standout feature is definitely the built-in AI Translator. It supports over 30 languages, and the live, face-to-face translation modes translate conversations with impressive accuracy. Lastly, a dedicated Game Mode targets mobile players. Realme claims a low 45ms latency, and while I cannot measure the exact milliseconds, in-game sound effects and action stay perfectly in sync.
<h2>Battery &amp; Charging</h2>
Realme advertises an all-week battery capacity with these earbuds, and my real-world testing proves that claim is pretty accurate for day-to-day use. With the charging case included, you get a massive 50 hours of total playback in normal mode, which easily beats the typical industry standard.
Of course, mileage depends entirely on your setup. If you leave ANC off and stick to the standard AAC codec, the individual buds deliver an impressive 12 hours of continuous music. Turning on full active noise cancellation drops that single-charge longevity down to six hours. If you want top-tier audio quality and switch to high-res streaming via the LHDC codec with active noise cancellation enabled, the battery drains much faster, capping out at about five hours on a single charge and 20 hours total with the case.
The Type-C charging speed is where the setup becomes incredibly convenient. I never bothered to time how long a full zero-to-hundred charge takes because the battery never actually died on me. Plugging the case in for just ten to fifteen minutes provided more than enough power to survive an entire workday, including a boring two-and-a-half-hour commute. For a pair of wireless earbuds, that is practically all you can ask for.
<h2>Final Verdict: Should You Buy It?</h2>
Priced at ₹6,999, the Realme Buds Air8 Pro move away from the budget category and step right into the competitive mid-range market. Luckily, the actual hardware performance completely backs up the higher cost. The coaxial dual-driver configuration and separate DACs deliver a remarkably clean, detailed soundstage that anyone who listens closely to music will appreciate.
The shiny, high-gloss details definitely attract smudges and tiny scratches over time, but that is a small cosmetic issue compared to the excellent performance underneath. Thanks to bone-conduction technology for crystal-clear calls, a huge 50-hour total battery capacity, and fast charging that saves you in a rush, they make a fantastic daily companion. If you want high-end sound separation and powerful noise blocking without spending over ten thousand rupees, these are highly recommended.

Oppo Find X9 Ultra Review: A No-Compromise Ultra Phone

Oppo Find X9 Ultra

The Oppo Find X9 Ultra delivers stunning Hasselblad-tuned cameras, flagship-grade performance, insane battery life, and one of the most exciting Android experiences of 2026.

Top-tier smartphones have started to feel a bit boring and stale this year. We all know the drill by now: the exact same flat edges, the identical oversized camera bumps, generic AI marketing talk, and pictures that look a bit too artificial. Most premium devices are practically interchangeable at this point, but the Oppo Find X9 Ultra actually stands out from the crowd.
This is Oppo's direct challenge to the Vivo X300 Ultra, but the strategy here is totally different. Vivo wanted you to mess around with extra modular gear and clip-on lens attachments to get the best shot. Oppo, on the other hand, figured a true flagship should give you maximum performance straight out of your pocket without the extra gimmicks.
I have been using the Find X9 Ultra as my main device for over two weeks now, and I think Oppo made the right call. It is a massive phone, it feels incredibly heavy, and that Rs 1,69,999 price tag will absolutely make your eyes water. But Oppo clearly had one goal in mind: build an absolute beast of a camera phone without cutting corners on the rest of the flagship experience. They got incredibly close.
<h2>Oppo Find X9 Ultra Review: Design &amp; Build</h2>
The massive camera housing on the <a title="Oppo Find X9 Pro Review: Massive Battery, Pro Cameras, Big Price &mdash; Worth It?" href="https://www.editorji.com/tech-news/gadget-review/oppo-find-x9-pro-review-massive-battery-pro-cameras-big-price-worth-it-1763717438502" target="_blank">Oppo Find X9</a> Ultra grabs your attention immediately, but the real story is how this thing feels in your hand. I have been testing a steady stream of slick, glass-backed flagships lately, so switching to the Tundra Umber version was a massive surprise. The textured vegan leather back feels incredibly soft and grippy. Instead of sliding around, the phone stays firmly planted in your palm, which is a massive relief given how large the hardware actually is.
Make no mistake, this is a hefty device. It weighs 235 grams and measures 9.1mm thick, putting it right in the same size bracket as rival heavyweights like the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra and iPhone 17 Pro Max. The Vivo X300 Ultra is slightly thinner but carries a bit more weight. Still, Oppo nailed the ergonomics here. The balance is spot on, and that textured rear panel saves your wrists during long periods of doomscrolling or shooting. Oppo also ditched the curved edges for a flat screen and an industrial aluminium frame, making the daily experience feel much cleaner and more precise.
Over on the back, Oppo embraces the camera-centric look rather than trying to downplay it. The main housing is round, but the lenses inside sit in a sharp hexagonal layout that catches the light nicely. A clean metal bar cuts across the lower half of the back panel, balancing out the look so the top doesn't visually overpower the rest of the chassis.
The layout isn't entirely perfect. Because the camera housing extends quite low on the back, my index finger kept brushing against the glass elements when I held it naturally. You will also have to deal with a lot of wobbles if you type while your phone is resting on a desk.
The physical controls are where things get fun. The dedicated shutter button is easily one of my favourite features. It is pressure-sensitive, letting you zoom smoothly just by sliding a finger across it, which beats tapping a screen any day. One press pulls up the camera, and a double-tap snaps the photo. On the opposite frame, the customizable Snap Key handles shortcuts nicely.
The durability is rock-solid too. You get a rare combo of IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings alongside Gorilla Glass Victus 2 up front, so you can toss it into a bag without stressing. Every single piece of this hardware feels like it serves a clear purpose.
<h2>Oppo Find X9 Ultra Review: Display &amp; Audio Quality</h2>
For the display you are looking at a massive 6.82-inch LTPO AMOLED panel running at 3168 x 1440, and honestly, the sharpness is spectacular. Fine print and dense photos look incredibly clean. They are hyping up a 144Hz refresh rate this generation, but don't expect to see that all the time. For normal apps and swiping around, the software locks things at 120Hz and aggressively scales down to 1Hz when you stop scrolling to save your battery. That full 144Hz speed is pretty much exclusive to a handful of supported games.
The overall panel quality is top-tier. Colours feel vibrant without hitting that fake, glowing look some competitors love, and the viewing angles are perfect. If you work outdoors, the 1800 nits in HBM, or high brightness mode handles direct noon sunlight without a struggle, while HDR peak brightness pushes up to 3600 nits. Dolby Vision and HDR10+ content look incredible here.
Late-night users will appreciate the 2160Hz PWM dimming, which keeps screen flicker from giving you a headache in the dark. The ultrasonic fingerprint sensor underneath is incredibly fast too. Setup takes seconds since you just glide your thumb around the glass instead of tapping repeatedly.
As for the sound, the built-in stereo speakers get plenty loud. Vocals stay perfectly intelligible when gaming or watching videos, and there is a surprising amount of lower-end thump so music never feels hollow.
<h2>Oppo Find X9 Ultra Review: Performance &amp; Benchmarks</h2>
Oppo threw in the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, backed it up with 12GB RAM, and gave you 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. Yes, those are massive numbers, but the real magic is how well Oppo has optimised the software. Everything just flies. You can jump between a dozen heavy apps without a single hint of lag, and mobile games run beautifully.
The cooling setup is what actually impressed me during testing. I looped the 3DMark Wild Life Extreme stress test to see where it would choke, and the phone topped out at 43 degrees Celsius. That is a fantastic result when you realise the <a title="Vivo X300 Ultra Review: This Flagship Is Basically a Mirrorless Camera" href="https://www.editorji.com/tech-news/gadget-review/vivo-x300-ultra-review-this-flagship-is-basically-a-mirrorless-camera-1778668885531" target="_blank">Vivo X300 Ultra</a> runs noticeably hotter under the same heavy load. The stability settled right around 69 per cent, which is perfectly normal behaviour for this generation of chips.
If you care about synthetic benchmark scores, it is basically a tie between the two flagships. The Oppo scores slightly higher on AnTuTu and Geekbench multi-core runs, while the Vivo takes a tiny win in single-core metrics. Honestly, you will never notice a difference outside of a lab because both feel lightning fast. The glass around that massive camera module does get a bit warm if you shoot 4K video for twenty minutes, but it never throttles or stutters. Also, the typing experience is excellent. The X-axis vibration motor gives you these crisp, tiny taps that make texting incredibly satisfying.
<h2>Oppo Find X9 Ultra Review: Battery Life &amp; Charging</h2>
Oppo did something crazy with the Find X9 Ultra by packing a massive 7,050mAh silicon-carbon battery inside. It is easily the biggest cell you can get on an Ultra flagship right now, and the real-world performance is ridiculous. Even during long days packed with heavy camera use, active GPS maps, 5G data, and streaming audio, this phone refuses to die before bedtime. If you are a light user, hitting two full days of juice is entirely possible.
They talk up a custom PowerCore Battery Management Chip to justify the efficiency, but the main takeaway is simply that the stamina rules. For charging, Oppo bundles a 100W SuperVOOC brick in the box. A complete zero to 100 per cent charge takes roughly 45 minutes. That might look a bit slower on a spec sheet compared to rival brands, but remember you are filling a significantly larger tank here, so the actual real-world difference is completely unnoticeable.
Generic USB-PD chargers will still juice this thing up at 55W speeds, which actually beats out what most flagships can do with their official chargers. You also get 50W wireless charging speeds, though Oppo did skip out on Qi2 magnetic alignment this year.
<h2>Oppo Find X9 Ultra Review: Camera Test</h2>
Let&rsquo;s be real, the only reason you are even considering this phone is that massive, unapologetic camera bump on the back. After shooting with it relentlessly, I am just going to say it: Oppo has put together what might be the most fun and versatile camera system on any phone right now.
The spec sheet is frankly ridiculous. You get a massive 200MP main camera, another 200MP shooter locked at a 3x zoom for portraits, a 50MP ultrawide with autofocus, and a second periscope lens hitting a native 10x optical zoom. It sounds like pure marketing overkill, but the actual shooting experience is incredibly seamless.
The best part about this setup is that your photos do not look like they came from a smartphone. Most flagships lately are obsessed with hyper-realistic, clinical sharpness, which just makes images look flat, cold, and boring. Oppo went a totally different route. The processing here has an actual artistic character without looking fake. Colours are rich, the contrast is deep and punchy, and the images feel cinematic right out of the gallery. Hasselblad's tuning adds this gorgeous warmth that makes you want to keep clicking.
The main 200MP sensor is an absolute beast. It handles difficult lighting without breaking a sweat, highlights stay under control, and the details are incredibly clean. I love how it handles harsh afternoon sun because it finds a beautiful middle ground instead of blowing out the sky or turning shadows into pure black. Even the ultrawide stands out because the built-in autofocus lets you capture close-up macro shots that are actually sharp.
But the zoom lenses are why you buy this phone. That 3x portrait lens quickly became my absolute default camera. Portraits look incredible because the larger sensor creates a beautiful, natural background blur before the software portrait tricks even kick in. Compared to the Vivo X300 Ultra, which goes for a very flat and natural look, the Oppo shoots portraits with much brighter tones and heavier contrast.
The 10x optical zoom is just as wild. Usually, pushing a phone past 5x zoom gives you a muddy mess unless the lighting is perfect. The X9 Ultra completely surprised me here. The 10x shots are genuinely sharp and usable every day for street photography or distant architecture. Plus, the sensor is large enough that images do not fall apart into noise when you step indoors.
Video is just as solid. Switching lenses while recording is perfectly smooth, and you can shoot 4K Dolby Vision across every single lens. If you want total control, the Master Mode lets you tweak ISO, white balance, and RAW settings manually. Oppo did not build a scientifically perfect camera phone here. They built one that takes beautiful, moody photos, and honestly, that is way better.
<h2>Oppo Find X9 Ultra Review: Software &amp; AI</h2>
Oppo is shipping the Find X9 Ultra with ColorOS 16 built on top of Android 16, and honestly, this is easily the most refined software experience they have ever delivered. The system animations feel incredibly fluid, and jumping between active apps is completely seamless. To be frank, compared to the Vivo X300 Ultra and its highly convoluted OriginOS 6 setup, ColorOS 16 is much cleaner and way easier to live with on a daily basis.
Now, Oppo definitely copied a few homework assignments here. Their new Live Space notification layout is clearly inspired by Apple's Dynamic Island. There is also a massive focus on translucent menus, chasing that trendy liquid glass aesthetic everyone loves right now. Still, I do appreciate that it stays out of your face.
The embedded AI features also remain blessedly quiet until you ask for them. The audio recorder transcribes conversations and labels different speakers in real time, Mind Space automatically files away your screenshots, and you get quick text summarisation throughout the system. It is mostly invisible utility, which is exactly how software should be.
They also fixed the camera interface, using swipe gestures to hide advanced settings so your viewfinder stays clean. On the lockscreen, notifications now collapse into tiny, tidy capsules, and full-screen album art looks brilliant.
As for updates, Oppo is promising five major Android platform updates and six years of security patches. It is not class-leading anymore, but it is more than enough coverage for most people.
<h2>Oppo Find X9 Ultra Review: Verdict</h2>
The Oppo Find X9 Ultra feels like the absolute peak of the giant Ultra phone trend. Oppo clearly had no interest in creating a subtle or minimalist flagship. Instead, they went completely over the top, packing in a massive battery, a giant camera module, dual periscope lenses, and incredibly fast charging. They wanted a no-compromise camera phone, and honestly, they pulled it off.
What stands out most is how balanced the actual phone feels despite all that heavy hardware. The cameras are obviously the headline story, but the rest of the device holds its own. The battery life is top-tier, the display looks beautiful, thermals stay completely under control, and ColorOS is finally clean enough that it does not ruin the experience.
Oppo's distinctive image processing will not please everyone since it favours a contrast-heavy, moody look over the flatter profiles from Google or Vivo. But after shooting hundreds of pictures, the conclusion is obvious: these photos just look incredibly exciting.
The phone isn't perfect. The massive camera bump gets in the way of your fingers and the update schedule lags slightly behind Samsung. But none of those complaints matters when you look at the bigger picture. The Find X9 Ultra manages to make using a flagship smartphone feel genuinely fun again, and that is a massive achievement.

The Samsung Galaxy Book6 Pro packs AMOLED, strong battery, and real performance. A premium thin-and-light that gets surprisingly close to MacBook Pro.

Samsung Galaxy Book6 Pro Review: A True MacBook Rival?

Samsung

Samsung Galaxy Book6 Pro

<h3 data-start="596" data-end="747">Samsung Galaxy Book6 Pro delivers AMOLED, strong performance, and long battery life in a premium thin-and-light that rivals the MacBook Pro experience.</h3>

The thin-and-light category is packed right now, and most machines here don&rsquo;t try very hard to stand out. They lean on the same core ideas: keep things slim, stay portable, offer just enough power for everyday work, and deliver battery life that gets you through the day. The Samsung Galaxy Book6 Pro doesn&rsquo;t exactly break away from that template, but it does try to stretch it by addressing some of the typical compromises, especially around performance, that usually come with ultra-portable machines
That added ambition shows up clearly in the pricing. The 14-inch base model, equipped with 16GB RAM, 512GB storage, and the Intel Core Ultra 5 325 processor, starts at ₹1,69,990. That already pushes it into the premium bracket. The variant I tested, also a 14-inch model, goes further with an Intel Core Ultra 7 358H chip, 32GB RAM, and 1TB storage, priced at ₹2,14,990.
At this level, just delivering on design and performance is not enough. Buyers expect a more complete experience, especially when it comes to ecosystem features, something devices like the Apple MacBook Pro have consistently done well.&nbsp;
So the real question is simple: does this machine justify what it asks for?
<h2>Samsung Galaxy Book6 Pro Review: Design</h2>
The first thing that hits you with the Samsung Galaxy Book6 Pro is just how effortlessly portable it feels. The 14-inch variant I tested measures only 11.6mm in thickness and tips the scales at a little over 1.2kg. For a machine that is also chasing strong performance and solid battery life, that balance is genuinely impressive.&nbsp;
In everyday use, that slim profile translates into real convenience. Sliding it into a backpack never feels like a burden, and on days when I was hopping on the Metro, it barely registered as extra weight.
Samsung has gone with an aluminium build, and the moment you pick it up, the premium feel is obvious. It feels rigid and well put together. That said, I did notice a small ergonomic quirk. The wrist rest tapers into a slightly sharper edge than I would like, and during longer typing sessions, it occasionally presses into my wrists. It is not a major issue, but it is something I kept becoming aware of over time.
Port selection is fairly well thought out. On the left side, there are two USB-C Thunderbolt 4 ports, alongside a full-sized HDMI 2.1 port capable of outputting up to 8K at 60Hz or 5K at 120Hz, which is great for high-resolution external displays.&nbsp;
On the right, you get a 3.5mm combo audio jack and a USB 3.2 Type-A port. However, I do feel the absence of an SD card slot on this 14-inch model, especially given the Pro branding.
Turn the laptop over, and you will notice rubber feet that provide grip and a slight lift, bottom-firing speakers positioned along the edges, and an intake vent near the top. The exhaust is placed along the rear hinge, keeping heat away from the sides, which works well in practice.
The lid keeps things minimal and clean, and Samsung says it has refined the hinge mechanism. I did find the opening and closing action smoother overall, although it still snaps shut slightly towards the end. There is a bit of wobble, but even when typing quickly or using the touchscreen, the display remains stable.
<h2>Samsung Galaxy Book6 Pro Review: Display</h2>
My test unit of the Galaxy Book6 Pro came with a 14-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with a 3K resolution of 2880 x 1800, and it is one of those displays that immediately grabs your attention. It is also a touchscreen with support for up to 10 simultaneous inputs, and I found myself instinctively tapping, scrolling, and interacting with it far more than I initially expected.
What really stands out is how vibrant everything looks. Colours do not just appear accurate, they have a certain richness that makes content feel more engaging. The panel runs at 120Hz and can dynamically shift between 30Hz and 120Hz depending on usage. In practice, this means smoother animations and scrolling when needed, while quietly conserving battery when things are static.
Samsung has also included VESA DisplayHDR True Black 1000 certification, with peak brightness going up to 1000 nits in HDR and around 500 nits in SDR. Combined with the deep blacks AMOLED panels are known for, contrast levels here are excellent, and HDR content looks properly tuned.
The high resolution on a relatively compact 14-inch screen ensures everything appears sharp and detailed. It covers 100 per cent of the DCI-P3 colour gamut and exceeds 100 per cent of sRGB, so for workloads involving Photoshop or DaVinci Resolve, it holds up comfortably. Samsung&rsquo;s Vision Booster is also present, adjusting brightness, contrast, and colours based on ambient conditions. It works subtly in the background, but it does make a difference over time.
The 16:10 aspect ratio gives you more vertical space, which is especially useful for documents and spreadsheets. Bezels are slim, though not the thinnest, and the bottom chin is slightly thicker with a discreet Samsung logo.
This is still a glossy panel, but Gorilla Glass with DXC coating helps reduce reflections. It is not completely glare-free, but it remains usable in most lighting conditions.
All things considered, this is a display that feels premium and performs reliably, whether you are working or just watching content.
<h2>Samsung Galaxy Book6 Pro Review: Speakers and Webcam </h2>
The Speakers and the webcam are not where the Samsung Galaxy Book6 Pro tries to steal the spotlight, and that becomes clear pretty quickly. The 14-inch model uses bottom-firing stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support. They deliver decent volume and a bit of richness, but they stop short of feeling exceptional.
That said, they are far from disappointing. For everyday scenarios like streaming shows, hopping on calls, or casual music playback, they hold up just fine. Most users will find them perfect for almost all of their day-to-day stuff.&nbsp;
The issue is more about expectations. When a laptop gets so many other things right, you start hoping for audio that stands out as well, and here it feels like Samsung has chosen to stay within safe limits.
The webcam is where the compromise is easier to spot. You are looking at a 2MP sensor that records in 1080p, which feels a bit basic for a premium device in 2026. I honestly was hoping to see an 1440p sensor. It works decently well for meetings and video calls, so functionality is not a concern. You also get access to Windows Studio Effects such as auto framing, eye contact, and background blur, which help clean things up and make calls feel more polished.
<h2>Samsung Galaxy Book6 Pro Review: Keyboard and Touchpad</h2>
Samsung has largely carried forward the keyboard setup from its previous Galaxy Book lineups, and that is not a bad thing. On the Samsung Galaxy Book6 Pro, typing still feels comfortable and well thought out. The keycaps are generously sized, spacing is just right, and long writing sessions never feel cramped. There is also white backlighting that shines cleanly through the legends, so working in dim environments is handled without any fuss.
The keys themselves do not travel very deep and bottom out fairly quickly, which means you can type very fast on the keyboard. They feel tactile enough, although faster typing can make them a bit noisy. What stood out more to me was the stiffness. Even after writing somewhere between 20,000 and 30,000 words, I never completely warmed up to that firmness. Some people might actually like that slightly resistant feel, but for me, it remained a small irritation.
The touchpad, however, is where things come together beautifully. It is spacious, smooth to the touch, and consistently responsive. Navigation feels effortless, palm rejection works reliably, and the haptic feedback is evenly tuned across the surface.
<h2>Samsung Galaxy Book6 Pro Review: Performance and Benchmarks</h2>
I went into testing the Samsung Galaxy Book6 Pro expecting typical thin-and-light behaviour, efficient, quick, but not exactly powerful. That assumption did not last long. This machine ended up delivering far more performance than I had anticipated.
Powering it is Intel&rsquo;s Panther Lake platform, and my unit came equipped with the Core Ultra X7 358H. It is a 16-core processor with a mix of 8 efficiency cores, 4 performance cores, and 4 low-power efficiency cores, capable of boosting up to 4.8GHz within a 25W to 80W power range. In real-world usage, the way it balances efficiency and performance stands out. It is not chasing outright dominance, but for most workloads, it never feels like it is holding you back.
Here is how it performed in CPU benchmarks like Cinebench and Geekbench.&nbsp;
In Cinebench R23, it scored 1954 in single-core and 13587 in multi-core. Cinebench 2026 returned 480 for single-core and 3488 for multi-core.&nbsp;
Geekbench results were 2779 in single-core and 16546 in multi-core. For graphics, the OpenCL test on Geekbench delivered a score of 55920.
Numbers aside, what matters is how it behaves in actual work. I pushed it through fairly demanding tasks. Photoshop handled large PSD files with multiple layers without slowing down. In Premiere Pro, a complex 1080p timeline with multiple effects played smoothly without any stutter.&nbsp;
Even in PugetBench, it held its ground with a score of 33604 in Premiere Pro and 8462 in Photoshop, which is impressive for a device in this class.
AI performance is another area where this laptop quietly flexes. With a dedicated NPU capable of up to 50 TOPS, a lot of AI-driven tasks can run directly on the device without needing an internet connection.&nbsp;
That said, if your workflow involves running large language models locally, stepping up to something like the Samsung Galaxy Book6 Ultra with a dedicated GPU would make more sense. As for graphics, the integrated Intel Arc GPU performed better than expected.
Out of curiosity, I even tried gaming. This is not built as a gaming machine, but it can hold its own if you tweak settings.&nbsp;
In Black Myth: Wukong, running at 2880 x 1800 on low settings, I saw around 44FPS without frame generation. Dropping to 1080p and enabling frame generation pushed it to a much smoother 70 to 75FPS.
I also tested a few more titles at 1080p on low settings. Cyberpunk 2077 averaged 88FPS, Ghost of Tsushima came in at 103FPS, and Valorant on high settings ran at 210FPS. For a thin-and-light laptop, that is more than enough if you just want to unwind with some casual gaming.
Thermals are handled well, too. Even during longer benchmark runs and gaming sessions, the laptop stayed relatively cool. The upper section of the keyboard did get a bit warm, but nothing uncomfortable. Samsung&rsquo;s updated vapour chamber cooling and improved fan design clearly make a difference.
Fan noise is another pleasant surprise. Whether I was running benchmarks or gaming, the fans stayed extremely quiet. In fact, I had to bring the laptop close to my ear during testing just to confirm that they were spinning.
This is not a laptop you buy primarily for gaming, but that is not the point. For professionals, creators, or anyone constantly on the move, it delivers strong, reliable performance, with the added bonus that it can handle a bit of gaming when you need a break.
<h2>Samsung Galaxy Book6 Pro Review: Software and Galaxy AI</h2>
Running on Windows 11, the Samsung Galaxy Book6 Pro delivers a familiar experience, but not without its usual Windows quirks. Updates can still feel intrusive, often popping up at inconvenient moments and pushing their way through, which is more down to Microsoft than anything Samsung is doing here. There is also a strong push towards Microsoft Copilot, and while some of its features are genuinely useful, others feel less essential in day-to-day use.
Where this machine starts to differentiate itself is through Samsung&rsquo;s ecosystem layer. If you are already using Galaxy devices, the experience changes quite noticeably. Pairing it with something like the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra unlocks features that feel seamless rather than forced. You can use your phone as a webcam, extend or mirror your display, and move files or clipboard content between devices almost instantly. That level of integration makes everyday workflows feel smoother.
If you are already on a Galaxy S series phone, or even using a Fold or Flip, these features feel polished and reliable.
On the AI front, alongside the standard Copilot tools, Samsung&rsquo;s Galaxy AI suite feels more practical in real use. Features like photo editing, writing assistance, and translation are here, but AI Search stood out the most. Being able to describe a file and have the system locate it quickly is genuinely useful.
There are also smaller conveniences baked in. You can ask Galaxy AI to adjust settings like display vibrancy, and it handles it without digging through menus.
None of these features is revolutionary on its own, but together, they make the overall experience feel more connected, responsive, and intuitive.
<h2>Samsung Galaxy Book6 Pro Review: Battery life and Charging</h2>
Battery life ended up being one of the most impressive parts of the Samsung Galaxy Book6 Pro, especially considering how slim and portable it is. Samsung has managed to fit in a 67.18Wh battery, and in real-world use, that capacity translates into consistently strong endurance.
In my usage, with the system set to best performance mode and brightness hovering between 50 and 55 per cent, the laptop regularly delivered around 14 to 15 hours of screen-on time. That figure does fall well short of the 30 hours Samsung advertises, but in practical terms, it still means most users can comfortably stretch this across two days without needing to reach for a charger.
What makes this more impressive is the category it sits in. Thin-and-light laptops with this level of performance usually struggle to go much beyond 4 to 5 hours. Here, thanks to the efficiency improvements brought in by Intel&rsquo;s Panther Lake chips, that limitation feels largely overcome.
Charging is handled through a 65W USB-C adapter, which is compact enough to carry around easily and can double up for charging other devices. Going from zero to full takes roughly between 1 hour 20 minutes and 1 hour 30 minutes. If you are in a hurry, plugging it in for about 30 minutes gets you close to 40 to 45 per cent, which is enough to keep you going for several more hours.
<h2>Samsung Galaxy Book6 Pro Review: Verdict</h2>
The Samsung Galaxy Book6 Pro is clearly stepping into territory dominated by the Apple MacBook Pro, and after using it for a while, it is evident that it is not out of place there. What impressed me most is how naturally it brings together performance, portability, and battery life without making it feel like a compromise-driven package.
It also holds its own when it comes to ecosystem and features. Samsung&rsquo;s integrations feel mature enough to go up against Apple&rsquo;s tightly knit ecosystem, and that shows in everyday use.&nbsp;
Plus, whether I was editing photos, scrubbing through video timelines, or juggling multiple apps at once, the experience remained smooth and consistent. The AMOLED display only elevates things further, making both work and entertainment feel equally engaging.
Battery performance is another strong point. It handled long workdays comfortably in my usage, and the fast charging meant I was rarely waiting around for it to top up.
This is not positioned as a gaming machine, and it does not need to be. For professionals, creators, and anyone looking for a premium, dependable laptop on the move, it makes a very strong case for itself, getting closer to the MacBook Pro experience than most Windows laptops manage.

The OnePlus Nord 6 packs Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, 165Hz display, and a massive 9000mAh battery, making it a performance-focused all-rounder under ₹40,000

OnePlus Nord 6 Review: Performance Beast Under ₹40K

OnePlus

OnePlus Nord 6

<h3 data-start="555" data-end="698">The OnePlus Nord 6 delivers flagship-like performance, 9000mAh battery, and smooth OxygenOS 16. A powerful pick under ₹40K.</h3>

The OnePlus Nord 6 sticks to what the Nord series has always done well, delivering more than what the price might suggest. Priced at ₹38,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant, and dropping lower with bank offers, it enters a segment that is now packed with strong contenders.
From the outset, this feels like a phone built around performance. I am getting a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, a 165Hz display, a massive 9000mAh battery, and OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16 right out of the box.
On paper, that is a seriously loaded setup. But in this price range, specs alone do not cut it anymore. What matters is how it all comes together in everyday use.
After using the Nord 6 for a while, I can see where it shines. Battery life is genuinely impressive, gaming feels smooth and consistent, and the software experience is among the cleanest you will find here. That said, there are a few compromises, and those do shape the overall experience.
<h2>OnePlus Nord 6 Review: Design</h2>
The OnePlus Nord 6 clearly takes inspiration from the OnePlus 15, but it does not feel like a copy. There is enough personality here to make it stand on its own.
The Quick Silver variant that I tested looks particularly striking. There is a holographic ribbon pattern running across the back, and it shifts subtly depending on how light hits it. It gives the phone a slightly futuristic edge, and I found myself noticing it more than I expected. The aluminium camera island also adds a nice contrast and makes the design feel a bit more premium.
That said, the finish is a magnet for fingerprints. Within minutes of using it, smudges start showing up, so going case-free is not the best idea here.
In terms of materials, OnePlus has gone with a plastic back, which does feel like a compromise at this price. The frame is also plastic, but it is well executed and genuinely feels like metal in hand. The phone feels dense and sturdy, almost brick-like, but not uncomfortable. At 8.5mm thick and 217 grams, it is on the heavier side, though I did not find it difficult to use. Smaller hands might disagree.
Durability is where this phone really stands out. You get IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings, along with MIL-STD-810H certification, which is rare in this segment.
For display protection, OnePlus is using its own Crystal Guard Glass, which it claims matches Gorilla Glass Victus+. That is ambitious, and only time will tell how it holds up.
Ports and connectivity are fairly standard. There is the Plus Key, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, USB Type-C, an IR blaster, and NFC, though eSIM support is missing.
<h2>OnePlus Nord 6 Review: Display</h2>
The OnePlus Nord 6 gets a lot right with its display, and it shows the moment you start using it. I am looking at a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED panel with full DCI-P3 coverage, and it delivers a genuinely pleasing viewing experience.
Colours come through vibrant without feeling overdone, contrast is well balanced, and I had no issues watching content across apps. OnePlus says this is a 10-bit panel, which means it can display over a billion colours. While there are panels out there pushing even higher numbers, this is still rare in this price segment and more than enough for a rich, immersive experience.
HDR is supported by the panel and Netflix gets HDR10+. Content does look sharp and dynamic. Brightness is another strong point.&nbsp;
Plus, with a claimed peak of 3600 nits, I found outdoor visibility to be reliable, even under harsh sunlight.
The refresh rate is where things get interesting. The panel can push up to 165Hz, and I could clearly notice the added smoothness in fast-paced games. Compared to a 120Hz display, the difference is easy to spot in those scenarios. For regular scrolling, though, it caps out at 120Hz.
Audio is handled by stereo speakers with a 300 per cent Super Audio mode. They get impressively loud and can easily fill a room, but at higher volumes, I did notice some loss in depth. For casual viewing, though, they get the job done well.
<h2>OnePlus Nord 6 Review: Performance</h2>
At its core, you are getting the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. There is also a large vapour cooling chamber working in the background to keep thermals under control. In everyday usage, the experience is exactly what you would expect from this setup. Everything feels fast, fluid, and consistent, whether it is switching between apps, handling heavy multitasking, or just navigating through the UI.
The synthetic numbers line up with that experience as well. The Nord 6 manages an AnTuTu score of around 2.37 million, along with strong Geekbench results. 3DMark does show some variation, particularly when it comes to stability, but that does not really reflect how the phone behaves in real-world scenarios.
Gaming is where this phone really starts to separate itself. In BGMI, the Nord 6 can push up to 165FPS with AI-assisted frame interpolation, and this is not just a number on paper. In fast-paced matches, I could actually feel the smoother motion and improved responsiveness. It genuinely gives you an edge, especially in competitive play.
Even if you turn those AI features off completely, the phone still holds a steady 120FPS without struggling.
The 165Hz display ties into this perfectly. Compared to a standard 120Hz panel, the difference is noticeable in games like BGMI and Call of Duty: Mobile. Tracking feels smoother, inputs feel quicker, and overall gameplay feels more responsive.
If gaming is a priority, the Nord 6 is easily one of the stronger options in this segment.
<h2>OnePlus Nord 6 Review: Cameras</h2>
Cameras on the OnePlus Nord 6 feel like a bit of a balancing act. They are not the headline feature here, but they do a respectable job for what this phone is trying to be. It is important to remember that this is built as a performance-first device, not something chasing camera supremacy.
The main camera uses a 50MP Sony Lytia 600 sensor with OIS, and in most scenarios, it delivers reliable results. I found the colour tuning slightly on the warmer side, but it stays fairly natural and avoids the overly processed look that some phones tend to go for. What stood out more than I expected was zoom performance. Shots at 2x look clean, and even pushing up to 10x, I was able to get usable images, which is not something I usually expect in this segment.
The 8MP ultrawide is decent as well, and more importantly, it maintains good consistency with the main camera. That said, this is not the best camera system you can get at this price. HDR can occasionally look a bit off, and colour processing is not always consistent.
Low-light performance is where the limitations become clearer. It can manage in tricky lighting, but results are not always dependable, and noise creeps in fairly quickly.
Portraits, on the other hand, are handled well. Edge detection is clean, skin tones look natural, and results are consistently usable.&nbsp;
Video performance at 4K 60fps is another positive. Colours look pleasing, stabilisation works well, and footage comes out clean enough to use without much effort.
The 32MP front camera also performs well, delivering sharp images with good skin tone reproduction in decent lighting. Overall, the cameras are capable, but they are not the reason to buy this phone.
<h2>OnePlus Nord 6 Review: Software</h2>
The OnePlus Nord 6 comes with OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16 right out of the box, and OnePlus has backed it with a solid update promise. I am getting four major Android updates and six years of security patches, which is reassuring for long-term use.
In day-to-day usage, OxygenOS 16 feels refined and well thought out. There is a strong sense of polish across the UI, and the level of customisation on offer is something I genuinely appreciate. From themes to layout tweaks, there is enough flexibility here to make the phone feel personal without getting overwhelming. Compared to most rivals in this segment, I find the overall experience more cohesive and easier to live with.
There are a few visual elements that seem inspired by iOS 26, but OnePlus has done enough to ensure it does not feel like a copy.
On the AI side, OnePlus AI is integrated in a way that actually adds value. Most features feel useful rather than gimmicky, and Plus Mind, in particular, stands out. It feels purposeful and fits naturally into everyday usage.
Overall, OxygenOS 16 feels mature, stable, and easy to recommend.
<h2>OnePlus Nord 6 Review: Battery</h2>
Battery life on the OnePlus Nord 6 is easily one of its biggest highlights, and it completely changes how I think about charging.
Most phones in this price range get me through a full day, maybe stretching into a day and a half with careful use. With the Nord 6, I was consistently getting close to two full days on a single charge without having to think about plugging it in. That kind of endurance makes a real difference, especially if you are a heavy user.
Charging is handled by 80W wired, and going from zero to full takes roughly 70 minutes. It is not the fastest in this segment, but considering the size of the battery, I did not find it slow or inconvenient.
OnePlus has also added 27W reverse wired charging, effectively turning the phone into a power bank. I actually ended up using it that way a couple of times to top up my iPhone 16 Pro Max on longer days, and it worked exactly as expected.
The 9000mAh battery delivers exactly what it promises in real-world use. What stands out even more is that all of this comes packed into a relatively slim design, which makes it feel even more impressive.
<h2>OnePlus Nord 6 Review: Verdict</h2>
The OnePlus Nord 6 makes a strong case for itself in the sub-₹40,000 segment, especially if you value performance and endurance above everything else. In my time using it, the performance has been consistently fast, the battery life stands out in a big way, OxygenOS 16 feels polished, and the display delivers a solid viewing experience.
That said, it is not without trade-offs. The camera system is where the compromises are most noticeable. Low-light shots can be inconsistent, and in more challenging conditions, it struggles to match phones that are built with a stronger focus on imaging. Portraits and zoom are usable, but the ultrawide and night mode leave some room for improvement.
But that also comes down to positioning. This is not meant to be a camera-first phone. It is built around performance, and on that front, it delivers.
If you prioritise gaming, long battery life, and a smooth software experience, this is an easy recommendation.

Vivo V70 FE delivers a striking design, massive 7000mAh battery, and smooth everyday performance in a well-balanced mid-range package.

Vivo V70 FE Review: Big Battery, Bold Personality

Vivo

Vivo V70 FE

<h3 data-start="254" data-end="388">Vivo V70 FE delivers a striking design, massive 7000mAh battery, and smooth everyday performance in a well-balanced mid-range package.</h3>

Vivo&rsquo;s V series has always chased one goal, offer camera performance that feels a tier above its price. The V60e managed that fairly well, but beyond the cameras, it kept things predictable with its display and battery.
The V70 FE heads in a new direction. FE does not mean Fan Edition this time. Vivo calls it Fashion Edition, and it is more than a label swap. It reflects a clear change in how the phone is positioned.
This shift shows up quickly. You get a larger display, a much bigger battery, and a design that feels far more assured than before.
There are upgrades on the software side too. OriginOS 6 based on Android 16 comes out of the box, along with a more useful set of AI features. On paper, this feels like a proper step forward, and in day-to-day use, it largely holds up.
<h2>Vivo V70 FE Design: Does it actually feel like a Fashion Edition?</h2>
With the V70 FE, I can see Vivo trying to rewrite what &ldquo;FE&rdquo; usually stands for. Instead of the usual Fan Edition route, this is being pitched as a Fashion Edition, and once I started using it, that shift felt pretty intentional.
The first thing that stood out to me was just how eye-catching this phone is. The Northern Lights Purple variant I have been using does not try to play it safe at all. It looks bold, has a distinct personality, and more importantly, it feels more premium than what I expected at this price.
What I really liked is how the back panel behaves under light. There is a layered gradient here with a subtle pattern sitting underneath, and depending on how you tilt it, the finish keeps evolving. It feels dynamic without crossing into flashy territory.
Then there is the UV-reactive element. When I took it out in sunlight, the hidden glow pattern on the back actually showed up, which is a neat touch. It is not something that changes how you use the phone, but it adds a bit of character that most phones in this segment simply do not bother with.
In hand, the material choice surprised me. Even though this is a plastic composite back, it does not feel cheap or hollow. The build feels tight, the finish is clean, and overall, it comes across as a well put-together device. If the purple feels a bit too loud, there is a blue option as well, but personally, I would still pick the purple for how different it looks.
What genuinely caught me off guard, though, is how slim and balanced this phone feels. At 7.69mm and 202 grams, I did not expect it to house a 7000mAh battery this comfortably. There is no awkward weight distribution or bulk, which is something I usually notice on phones with batteries this big. Vivo has handled that balance really well here.
I also spent some time looking at the camera module, and while the vertical pill-shaped layout is familiar, the detailing makes a difference. The metallic rings around the lenses and the Aura Light sitting next to them give it a more refined, finished look.
This is not just about looks either. With IP68 and IP69 ratings, I feel confident taking this phone into less-than-ideal conditions without worrying too much.
As for the basics, everything is where you would expect it to be. At the bottom, I get a USB-C port with USB 2.0 speeds, a dual SIM tray, a mic, and a speaker. The top houses a second speaker, another mic, and an IR blaster. NFC is here as well, along with the usual Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support.
The V70 FE nails what it set out to do with its design. It stands out, feels premium in hand, and does enough differently to actually justify that Fashion Edition tag.
<h2>Vivo V70 FE&rsquo;s Display &amp; Speakers: More than just a big panel</h2>
The display quickly became one of my favourite parts of using the V70 FE. Vivo has gone with a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, and that extra bit of screen size over the V70 and V70 Elite is immediately noticeable in daily use.
What I appreciate is how clean the front looks. The bezels are slim and even all around, so there is no distracting chin or uneven framing. It feels properly modern the moment you unlock it.
In terms of sharpness, this panel holds its ground. At 449ppi, text looks crisp regardless of size, and images retain their detail nicely. I never ran into moments where things looked soft or slightly blurred, even when I was looking closely.
Colour reproduction is another strong point. With P3 wide colour gamut support, visuals come across balanced and accurate rather than overly saturated. Photos and videos have a sense of depth to them, which I personally prefer over punchy but unrealistic colours.
Vivo mentions support for over a billion colours, which likely means either a true 10-bit panel or an 8-bit plus FRC setup. The brand has not clarified this, but in everyday use, I did not notice any banding or inconsistencies that would raise concerns.
Brightness is where this display really proves itself. With HBM going up to 1900 nits, I had no issues using the phone outdoors, even under harsh sunlight. It stays readable without needing to hunt for shade.
HDR10+ support is present and works well across platforms like YouTube and Netflix. Dolby Vision is not here, but honestly, I did not find myself missing it. HDR10+ covers most content well enough that it never felt like a limitation.
The in-display optical fingerprint sensor has also been reliable for me. It is quick to unlock and consistent over time, which is not always a given in this segment.
On the audio side, the dual stereo speakers do a solid job. They get loud enough to fill a small room without distorting, and the tuning favours clarity. Dialogue stands out clearly, which makes watching videos or shows without earphones a comfortable experience.
<h2>Vivo V70 FE&rsquo;s Cameras: The 200MP sensor does all the work</h2>
Vivo&rsquo;s V series has always leaned heavily on cameras, and with the V70 FE, I can see that same intent carry forward. The idea remains simple: deliver strong imaging at a price that feels accessible.
The setup itself is fairly straightforward. I get a 200MP main camera with OIS, paired with an 8MP ultrawide. The main sensor is the 1/1.56-inch Samsung HP5, backed by Vivo&rsquo;s own stabilisation system. Up front, there is a 50MP selfie camera with autofocus.
There is no Zeiss branding this time, but in use, I did not feel like the experience was lacking. Vivo&rsquo;s colour tuning still feels familiar, especially on the main camera, which ends up doing most of the heavy lifting.
In daylight, I found the main camera to be consistently reliable. Images come out sharp with plenty of detail, but what stood out to me is how balanced the colours look. Vivo avoids pushing saturation too far, so skies appear natural and highlights stay under control. Dynamic range is strong, and even when I cropped into shots, the detail held up well without looking artificial.
Portraits are another strong area. The processing is clearly software-driven, but edge detection is mostly accurate, and the background blur has a natural falloff. The results look clean and pleasing more often than not.
Low-light performance has also been dependable in my use. The main sensor keeps noise in check while maintaining decent sharpness. Colours remain consistent, and images come out bright enough without looking overprocessed. It may not lead in extreme scenarios, but for this segment, it does a solid job.
I also like Vivo&rsquo;s Aura Light. It acts more like a soft fill light rather than a harsh flash, which helps add depth to portraits without flattening the subject.
The 8MP ultrawide is where compromises start to show. In good lighting, it delivers usable detail and keeps colours fairly close to the main sensor. In low light, though, the drop in resolution becomes noticeable, especially in finer textures.
Selfies are pretty solid too, mainly because the front camera gets autofocus, and Vivo&rsquo;s eye-focus system does a good job of keeping subjects sharp.
For video, the phone supports 4K at 30fps, with 60fps limited to 1080p on both front and rear cameras. Stabilisation has been steady in my testing, thanks to OIS and EIS working together.
Overall, this is a dependable camera setup that delivers where it matters.
<h2>Vivo V70 FE&rsquo;s Performance: Numbers only tell half the story</h2>
On paper, the V70 FE looks well-equipped to handle performance. In reality, though, the numbers and the experience do not quite tell the same story.
I am getting the 4nm Dimensity 7360 Turbo here, paired with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. It sounds like a strong combination, but the benchmarks do not fully back that up.
In AnTuTu, the score capped out at around 984,000, just missing the million mark. Geekbench returned 3065 in multi-core and 1030 in single-core. The 3DMark Wild Life Stress Test showed 99% stability, which looks impressive, but neither the peak nor the lowest loop crossed 1000.
That said, once I moved away from benchmarks, the experience felt very different. In everyday use, the phone has been consistently smooth. Apps load quickly, multitasking feels effortless, and general navigation stays fluid without any noticeable slowdowns.
Gaming has also held up well in my testing. I played BGMI at close to 90FPS, and it remained stable even during longer sessions. What stood out to me more was the thermals. The phone stayed cool, with no obvious signs of throttling.
That stability comes down to the cooling setup. Vivo has included a large vapour chamber along with multiple temperature sensors that actively manage heat under load.
So while the benchmark numbers may not look exceptional, my actual experience has been smooth and reliable, which matters far more in daily use.
<h2>Vivo V70 FE&rsquo;s Software: OriginOS 6 is a highlight</h2>
If you have used a recent Vivo phone, the software here will feel instantly familiar. The V70 FE runs OriginOS 6 based on Android 16 right out of the box, and in my experience, this continues to be one of the better Android skins around right now.
What I like is how well it scales across devices. Whether it is a budget phone or a flagship, OriginOS 6 tends to feel polished, and on the V70 FE, that consistency holds up. The UI feels responsive, clean, and easy to get used to.
There are some obvious design inspirations here. The interface leans into glass-like visuals and animations that feel similar to what Apple has been doing. But at the same time, it does not feel like a copy. Vivo has built enough of its own identity into the experience.
A good example of that is Origin Island. It works along similar lines to Apple&rsquo;s Dynamic Island when it comes to notifications, but I found it going a bit further in terms of functionality. It handles alerts in a more flexible way, and honestly, there are a few ideas here that even Apple could take notes from.
Customisation is another area where Vivo has put in effort. I get options like Flip Cards on the lock screen, more layout flexibility, and additional styling tools that let you tweak the look without making things complicated. Even the setup process feels simpler and more guided.
What stood out to me most is how consistent everything feels in daily use. Animations are smooth, app launches are quick, and smaller interactions like switching apps or pulling down notifications feel fluid. I did not run into any stutters or awkward transitions during my time with the phone.
The redesigned control centre also helps here. It looks cleaner, feels less cluttered, and is easier to navigate. Features like phone-to-PC mirroring and cross-device connectivity also proved useful in everyday scenarios.
AI is a big part of the experience too, with a lot of it powered by Google Gemini. I get features like AI Creation, AI Search, and Circle to Search. The AI Photography Suite is where things get more interesting, as it lets you rework images after capturing them, even changing the overall mood or setting quite dramatically.
On the update front, Vivo is promising four OS updates and six years of security patches. That is a strong commitment at this price and adds to the overall sense of long-term reliability.
<h2>Vivo V70 FE&rsquo;s Battery &amp; Charging: Forget your charger at home</h2>
Battery life is one area where this phone genuinely stands out for me.
The V70 FE packs a 7000mAh battery, and while large capacities are becoming more common now, this still feels impressive for this segment. More importantly, it actually translates well into real-world use.
In my experience, getting through a full day and a half was easy. On lighter days, I could push it close to two days without stressing about the battery at all.
Charging speeds are solid too. With 90W fast charging, going from 0 to 100 percent takes about an hour, which feels reasonable given the size of the battery.
Overall, this is the kind of battery setup that quietly does its job. I did not find myself checking the percentage constantly or worrying about topping it up, and that is exactly how it should be.
<h2>Vivo V70 FE&rsquo;s Verdict: Strikes the right balance</h2>
The V70 FE quietly gets most things right without making you feel like you have settled anywhere.
For me, the design is a clear standout. The Northern Lights Purple variant not only looks striking but also carries a premium feel that is rare at this price. The fact that Vivo has managed to keep it this slim and light while fitting in a 7000mAh battery makes it even more impressive.
The display is sharp and bright, the cameras are reliable across most situations, and OriginOS 6 delivers a polished, consistent experience in daily use. Battery life is easily among the best in this segment, and the phone handles heat well during gaming.
Yes, the ultrawide camera is not great in low light, and the benchmarks are not particularly exciting. But in actual use, neither feels like a real drawback.
If you want something distinctive, long-lasting, and well-rounded, the V70 FE makes a strong case.

Xiaomi 17 Ultra brings a 1-inch Leica camera, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 power, and a stunning AMOLED display. A true camera-first flagship for 2026.

Xiaomi 17 Ultra Review: A Leica-powered Camera Beast Built for Serious Photography

Xiaomi

Xiaomi 17 Ultra

<h3 dir="ltr">The Xiaomi 17 Ultra puts photography first with a one-inch Leica camera and 200MP periscope zoom. Paired with a sharp AMOLED display, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 performance, and solid battery life, it stands out as one of 2026&rsquo;s best camera-focused flagships.</h3>
&nbsp;

The Xiaomi 17 Ultra is the company&rsquo;s latest attempt at building a no-compromise flagship, and it becomes clear very quickly that Xiaomi still treats the Ultra series as its playground for serious camera hardware.
On paper, the phone checks most of the boxes you would expect from a top-tier device in 2026. There is a large AMOLED display, Qualcomm&rsquo;s newest Snapdragon silicon, a sizeable battery, and a camera system built around a one-inch sensor.
To really put that camera system through its paces, Xiaomi flew me out to Phu Quoc in Vietnam, where I spent several days shooting photos and videos around the island. From bright coastal sunlight to evening street scenes and long outdoor days, it turned out to be a great setting to see what the cameras could actually do outside controlled test conditions.
Now, with a price tag of ₹1,39,999 for the sole 16GB+512GB variant, it isn&rsquo;t cheap. You&rsquo;re certainly paying a Leica tax here. But, one thing became abundantly clear, the more I used the phone. This phone knows exactly what it wants to prioritise, and that is its camera.
However, that doesn&rsquo;t mean that the rest of it has been put together just for the sake of it. No. The Xiaomi 17 Ultra, for the most part, is uncompromising in every way imaginable.
<h2>Xiaomi 17 Ultra Review: Design and build</h2>
When I first picked up the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, it immediately felt familiar. If you have used any of Xiaomi&rsquo;s previous Ultra phones, the overall silhouette will look recognisable. But once I started using it, a few small refinements became obvious. Xiaomi has moved to completely flat panels on both the front and the back this year. Combined with the composite fibreglass rear panel and the flat aluminium alloy frame, the phone feels cleaner and more modern than older models. In the hand, it comes across as minimal and surprisingly comfortable for a device carrying this much hardware.
Of course, the moment you turn the phone around, the camera module grabs your attention. The camera bump is still huge and still sits high on the back, occupying a big portion of the upper half of the phone. Xiaomi has tried to make it look a bit tidier this year. The layout appears slimmer and a little more organised, largely because the company has dropped one sensor from the module. Normally I am not the biggest fan of camera bumps this large, but considering Xiaomi is using a one-inch sensor here, I can honestly live with it.
That camera hardware does affect the weight balance. The Xiaomi 17 Ultra is not a light phone, and you can definitely feel a bit of top heaviness when you first pick it up. That might also explain Xiaomi&rsquo;s decision to use a fibreglass back instead of frosted glass. My review unit is the black variant, and visually it still resembles a frosted glass finish, but the fibreglass construction probably helps keep the overall weight under control.
The camera island itself is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i, which is reassuring given how prominent that module is. Despite packing such serious camera hardware, the phone remains impressively slim at just 8.29mm.
In day-to-day use, I never found the weight uncomfortable. It is definitely not a light phone, but Xiaomi has managed the weight distribution well enough that long usage sessions never became tiring.
The black finish on my unit might actually be my favourite Xiaomi Ultra finish so far. The fibreglass surface feels soft to the touch and the back panel is pleasant to hold. It also does a great job resisting fingerprints, which is rare for a dark coloured phone. The only small downside is that it can feel slightly slippery, so using a case is probably a good idea.
Button and port placement is exactly where you would expect on a flagship Android phone. I also really like the rounded volume buttons on the side. They have this very retro vibe to it, and I personally love it. Plus, they feel tactile and are very easy to reach.
For durability, Xiaomi has given the 17 Ultra both IP68 and IP69 ratings, so it should handle dust, water immersion and even strong water jets without trouble. The display is protected by Xiaomi&rsquo;s Shield Glass 3.0, which the company says is way more shatter-resistant than any other hardened glass . During my time using the phone, it held up without any issues.
<h2>Xiaomi 17 Ultra Review: Display and audio</h2>
The Xiaomi 17 Ultra gets a massive 6.9-inch AMOLED display that can produce over 68 billion colours. In all likelihood, Xiaomi is using a 12-bit panel here. Resolution comes in at 1200 &times; 2608 pixels, which technically puts it in the 1.5K category rather than a full 2K display.
In practical use though, that distinction barely matters. At roughly 416 PPI, the screen looks extremely sharp. Text appears crisp, images carry plenty of detail, and even when I compared it with some newer flagships that push a full 2K resolution, I genuinely struggled to notice a meaningful difference in day-to-day use.
Being a proper 2026 flagship, the panel comes loaded with all the expected features. You get a 120Hz refresh rate with LTPO technology, high-frequency PWM dimming, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and several T&Uuml;V certifications. Watching content on this screen is genuinely enjoyable. Whether I was watching Netflix, scrolling through YouTube, or reviewing videos I had just shot on the phone, the display consistently looked vibrant. Colours feel lively without appearing oversaturated, and the blacks are deep and inky, which adds to the sense of immersion.
The display also covers the DCI-P3 colour gamut, which helps with colour accuracy. Peak brightness goes up to 3500 nits in HDR, and during my time testing the phone outdoors in bright Vietnamese sunlight, the screen never really struggled. I used it frequently for navigation, reviewing photos and videos, and general browsing, and at no point did I feel like the display needed to be brighter.
Xiaomi has also included several eye-protection certifications. The panel is T&Uuml;V Rheinland low blue light certified, T&Uuml;V Rheinland flicker-free certified, and T&Uuml;V Rheinland circadian friendly certified, which should make longer viewing sessions easier on the eyes.
Under the display, you get an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. Xiaomi has positioned it sensibly, making it easy to reach. In my testing, it proved quick and reliable. Even with slightly wet or sandy fingers during outdoor shooting sessions, the scanner unlocked the phone without much trouble.
The audio setup is also quite good. The phone gets stereo speakers that are impressively loud. Because the device itself is fairly large, the speakers manage to produce a bit of depth and bass, which gives the sound more character than most smartphones. I would even go as far as saying these are among the better smartphone speakers available right now.
You also get Dolby Atmos support along with Snapdragon Sound, and for wireless listening the phone supports Hi-Res Audio as well.
<h2>Xiaomi 17 Ultra Review: Camera performance</h2>
Now, coming to the star of the show, the cameras. The Xiaomi 17 Ultra packs a 50MP main camera with a one-inch sensor and OIS, a 50MP ultrawide, and a 200MP periscope telephoto with a continuous optical zoom range from 3.2x to 4.3x.&nbsp;
On paper that already sounds impressive, but in actual use the camera system is easily the highlight of the phone.
Starting with the Leica-powered main camera, the one-inch sensor really makes a difference. In my testing, photos consistently came out sharp and detailed, but without the overly processed look some phones tend to produce.&nbsp;
Colours are vibrant yet still natural, and the auto white balance is very reliable. Xiaomi is also using LOFIC sensor technology, which allows the camera to capture HDR information in a single exposure instead of stitching multiple frames together. The result is faster capture, excellent highlight control, and very clean shadows.
Portrait shots from the main camera look excellent too. Skin tones appear natural, facial details are well preserved, and there is already some optical background separation even without enabling portrait mode.&nbsp;
The Leica-tuned 50MP ultrawide camera performs better than expected as well. Ultrawide photos are noticeably sharper than what this hardware usually produces, with excellent colours and strong dynamic range. In many scenes, the gap between the ultrawide and the main camera is surprisingly small.
Then there is the Leica-tuned 200MP telephoto camera, which uses a periscope setup with a movable lens system. This allows continuous optical zoom from 3.2x (75mm) to 4.3x (100mm), and across that entire range image quality remains excellent. Detail is superb, colours stay consistent with the main camera, and both focal lengths work beautifully for portraits. The natural background blur at 75mm especially makes portrait mode almost unnecessary.
Beyond that range, the phone can push to 8.6x zoom (around 200mm) using in-sensor cropping, and then go beyond, digitally. In good lighting, these shots remain surprisingly usable with solid detail, although darker areas can start to soften slightly.
The selfie camera has also been upgraded this year. Xiaomi now uses a 50MP sensor with autofocus, replacing the older 32MP setup. Selfies look detailed and well balanced, and the autofocus helps keep faces sharp even when framing changes.&nbsp;
The Xiaomi 17 Ultra can record up to 8K at 30fps across its rear cameras. For 4K, the main and telephoto cameras go up to 120fps, that too with Dolby Vision, or log, while the ultrawide tops out at 4K60.&nbsp;
In daylight, videos look very good with strong dynamic range and accurate colours, and all three cameras match each other fairly well. Stabilisation is excellent across all cameras.
Overall, this is easily one of the most versatile and capable camera systems I have used on a smartphone this year.
<h2>Xiaomi 17 Ultra Review: Photography Kit Pro</h2>
Xiaomi also sent me its Photography Kit Pro with the 17 Ultra, and it genuinely changes how the phone feels when you use it for photography. The kit includes a new camera grip, a case, and an interchangeable ring that sits around the camera module. The case already comes with one ring installed, while the second ring lets me attach 67mm filters like ND filters or polarizers.
The camera grip connects to the phone through a USB-C port, and once attached, the phone feels much more like a proper camera. I get a dedicated shutter button, a separate video recording button, and a zoom toggle. Xiaomi has also added a rotary dial next to the shutter this year. Most of the buttons can be remapped. For instance, I set the dial to control shutter speed instead of exposure compensation.
There is also a small thumb rest on the back that improves grip while shooting. A side lock secures the grip to the case so it does not slide out. At the bottom, you get an indicator light, a USB-C charging port, and a loop for a lanyard. Xiaomi includes one in the box, and during my Phu Quoc photo trip, I ended up using it more than expected.
The grip also houses a 2000mAh battery, which can top up the phone in emergencies.
<h2>Xiaomi 17 Ultra Review: Performance</h2>
Powering the Xiaomi 17 Ultra is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, and paired with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage on my unit, the phone has more than enough muscle for anything you throw at it.
In daily use, the phone simply feels effortless. Moving through the interface is quick, animations remain smooth, and jumping between apps happens instantly. During my testing, I often kept a large number of apps open in the background, but the system handled it without slowing down or aggressively closing them. Everything stayed responsive, which is exactly what I expect from a device in this price category.
Gaming performance has also been very solid. I spent quite a bit of time playing BGMI, usually in sessions lasting around 40 to 45 minutes. Even during those longer sessions, the phone maintained stable performance. Frame rates stayed consistent and the device only became mildly warm.
Xiaomi has also clearly worked on the cooling this year. The 17 Ultra uses a 3D dual-channel vapour chamber cooling system, and in practice it does a very good job of managing heat. The phone never became uncomfortably warm, and I didn&rsquo;t notice any obvious throttling or sudden dips in performance.
Overall, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra behaves exactly like a flagship should. It feels fast, stable, and reliable, whether you&rsquo;re just scrolling through apps or pushing the hardware harder with demanding games.
<h2>Xiaomi 17 Ultra Review: Software and AI features</h2>
On the software front, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra runs HyperOS 3 based on Android 16. In daily use, I found the interface to be quite polished, although Xiaomi has clearly taken a bit of visual inspiration from Apple in some areas. The control centre, for instance, has a very clean and layered look that reminded me a little of iOS. It is not a direct copy, but the visual style definitely leans in that direction. I also noticed touches of what Xiaomi calls its &ldquo;liquid glass&rdquo; design language across parts of the UI.
One of the biggest UI additions this year is something Xiaomi calls Super Island. It appears around the camera cut-out and shows contextual information for apps running in the background. If the idea sounds familiar, that is because it works in a very similar way to Apple&rsquo;s Dynamic Island. In my usage, it proved quite handy for things like timers, music playback, and quick notifications without needing to open the full app.
Since this is a 2026 flagship, AI features are everywhere. Xiaomi groups most of them under what it calls HyperAI. You get tools such as AI writing, AI dynamic wallpapers, speech recognition, AI interpreter, and AI subtitles. The gallery app also gets a number of AI-powered editing tools that can quickly clean up photos or remove unwanted objects.
You also get Google&rsquo;s Gemini built into the system, which adds another layer of AI capabilities.
Xiaomi has added some useful connectivity tools as well. I was able to share photos and videos not just with PCs but also with an iPhone. Once everything was set up, transfers were quick and smooth, although I did find the initial setup slightly convoluted.
In everyday use, I found HyperOS 3 to be quite responsive. It may not feel as polished as OriginOS or OxygenOS yet, but during my testing the system remained smooth and reliable
Xiaomi also promises five major Android OS upgrades along with six years of security updates, which is reassuring for a flagship device in this price segment.
<h2>Xiaomi 17 Ultra Review: Battery and charging</h2>
Quickly touching on the battery, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra packs a 6000mAh unit. That is slightly disappointing on paper because the Chinese version of the phone actually gets a larger 6800mAh battery. Even so, in my time using the phone, battery life was never really an issue.
During a long day out in Phu Quoc, I was taking a huge number of photos and videos, using Google Maps for navigation, and running the display at high brightness under the sun. Even with that kind of heavy use, the phone comfortably lasted the entire day and I still ended it with around 40 percent battery remaining.
With more typical usage, I was easily getting about a day and a half, and sometimes close to two days.
For charging, the phone supports 90W wired charging, which means the device can go from a 0 to a hundred in under an hour, perhaps even faster. You also get 50W wireless charging. It is not magnetic like Apple&rsquo;s MagSafe, but it still works reliably. You also get reverse wired charging at 22.5W and reverse wireless charging at 10W.
<h2>Xiaomi 17 Ultra Review: Verdict</h2>
After spending time with the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, what stands out most is how clearly the phone understands its purpose. Many flagships try to balance everything equally, but Xiaomi has very obviously centred the experience around the camera system.
The one-inch main sensor, versatile telephoto setup, and Leica tuning combine to produce one of the most capable smartphone camera systems I have used this year. For anyone who treats their phone as a serious photography tool, the 17 Ultra offers an experience that very few other phones can currently match.
The rest of the hardware holds up well too. The large AMOLED display is sharp and vibrant, performance from the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 remains consistently smooth, and the battery easily keeps up with long days of shooting and heavy use.
Of course, none of this comes cheap. The ₹1,39,999 price tag, and that additional Rs 19,999 for the Photography Kit Pro, certainly does add up. But if camera performance sits at the top of your priority list, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra is one of the most compelling flagship phones available right now.&nbsp;

The Oppo Pad 5 packs a 2.8K 120Hz display, Dimensity 7300 Ultra, 10,050mAh battery and quad speakers. A reliable all-round tablet under ₹30K.

Oppo Pad 5 Review: A well-balanced tablet under ₹30K

Oppo Pad 5 packs a 2.8K 120Hz display, Dimensity 7300 Ultra, 10,050mAh battery and quad speakers. A reliable all-round tablet under ₹30K.

Oppo Pad 5

<h3>The Oppo Pad 5 is a dependable all-round tablet with a sharp 2.8K display, stable performance, strong battery life and solid multimedia experience under ₹30K.</h3>

The Oppo Pad 5 is clearly designed to be an all-rounder. It is not trying to reinvent the tablet category or chase one dramatic headline feature. Instead, it positions itself as a balanced device that covers all the essentials without cutting obvious corners.
On paper, the spec sheet looks reassuring. You get a 12.1-inch 2.8K display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultra processor, up to 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage, a large 10,050mAh battery, stylus support, quad speakers, and Dolby Vision. It reads like a checklist Oppo did not want to leave incomplete.
In India, the tablet starts at ₹26,999 for the Wi-Fi variant and ₹32,999 for the 5G model, which puts it in a competitive but important price bracket.
After spending a good two weeks with it as my choice of device aside from my phone, which meant using it as my streaming device, productivity companion, note-taking slab, and occasional gaming machine, I wanted to see whether this balanced approach actually works in real life. And I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised.&nbsp;
<h2>Oppo Pad 5 Review: Design and build quality</h2>
Let us start with the design, because with tablets, design is not just about looks. It is about how the thing feels after 40 minutes of Netflix, or two hours of note-taking.
The Oppo Pad 5 keeps things simple and controlled. The proportions are neat. The bezels are evenly balanced. The flat edges give it that modern, 2026 tablet vibe without trying too hard to look futuristic. It feels confident, but not loud.
My unit came in Aurora Pink, and honestly, it looks better in person than in pictures. It has this soft mauve, marble-like finish that catches light in a subtle way. Indoors, when you tilt it slightly, you see this shimmery texture that adds depth. It does not scream for attention, but it definitely does not feel basic either. If pink is not your thing, there is a black version that keeps things clean and low-key.
The back is polycarbonate, but it does not feel cheap. There is no flex when you twist it. No hollow sound when you tap it. It feels dense and reassuring, which is what you want from something you will carry around daily. The frame looks metallic and feels sturdy. The flat edges make it comfortable to hold in landscape mode, especially while watching content. On a desk, it sits flat without wobbling, which sounds small, but it matters.
At around 6.8mm thick, it is slim enough to feel sleek without feeling fragile. The Wi-Fi variant weighs 597 grams, and the 5G version is 599 grams. That two-gram difference means nothing in real life. What matters is that it feels balanced. It is light enough for long reading sessions, but not so light that it feels toy-like.
The rear camera module is clean and minimal. There is a small decorative ring around the lens, which adds a bit of character without being flashy. For some strange reason, though, you don&rsquo;t get a flash with the rear camera.
Now, I tested the Wi-Fi unit, so there&rsquo;s no SIM tray here. If you want 5G, you will have to go for the 8GB + 256GB model.&nbsp;
As for accessories, the Pad 5 does support stylus input, and Oppo also sells a new stylus, the Oppo Pencil 2R, separately for the Pad 5. For this review, I used the OnePlus Stylo 2 instead, and it worked perfectly. Pressure sensitivity felt accurate, latency was low, and handwriting recognition worked smoothly. Even scribbled calculations were picked up correctly. So, if you want, you can use a third-party Bluetooth stylus without any issues.&nbsp;
Surprisingly, though, there is no dedicated folio cover for the Oppo Pad 5, not even from Oppo. However, you can use the folio cover from the OnePlus Pad Go 2, as they are almost identical in dimension.&nbsp;
Overall, the Pad 5 is comfortable, practical, and for a tablet you will use every day, truly dependable.
<h2>Oppo Pad 5 Review: 12.1-inch 2.8K display and quad speakers</h2>
Now let me talk about the display, because this is honestly where I felt the Oppo Pad 5 steps up.
It has a 12.1-inch 2.8K LCD panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, and the moment I unlocked it, it felt premium. This is technically a 12-bit, or 8+4-bit panel, and I could actually see the difference. Colours have depth instead of looking flat. In Vivid mode, it covers 98 per cent of DCI-P3, and in Natural mode, it hits 100 per cent sRGB. Gradients look smooth. Dark scenes do not show harsh banding. It feels refined.
Streaming was a good experience, too. I watched HDR content on YouTube and Netflix, and the panel held up well. Dolby Vision support is present, HEVC decoding works, and Netflix streams in Full HD without restrictions. At this price, I appreciate that nothing feels artificially capped.
The 120Hz refresh rate makes daily use feel fluid. Scrolling through long articles feels effortless. Swiping between apps is responsive. After using it for a few days, going back to 60Hz genuinely feels slower to me.
Brightness peaks at 900 nits in high brightness mode. Indoors, it looks excellent. Under shade outdoors, I had no issues. In direct harsh sunlight, it can struggle slightly, but that is expected in this segment.
I also like the 7:5 aspect ratio. It feels balanced for productivity, very similar to most iPads. Split-screen apps actually get enough space to be usable. Reading long documents feels natural and not strained.
The quad speakers surprised me. They get loud without distorting quickly. There is a hint of bass, dialogue is clear, and music does not sound thin.
For Netflix, YouTube, or even background music while working, I felt the multimedia experience was complete and well-sorted.
<h2>Oppo Pad 5 Review: 8MP Cameras that do the job</h2>
Let us be honest, nobody buys a tablet for its cameras, and the Oppo Pad 5 is no different.
On the back, you get an 8MP sensor. It is not trying to be artistic. It is there for practical stuff. Scanning documents works smoothly. Clicking whiteboard notes is quick and clear. Reference shots look sharp enough for everyday use.
The front is also 8MP, and in good lighting, it does the job well. Video calls look natural. Skin tones are balanced. Exposure is handled properly.
You are not buying this for selfies or to record videos of any previous moments. It is meant for your online classes and Zoom meetings, and in those specific use cases, it works just fine.
Oppo Pad 5 Review: Dimensity 7300 Ultra performance The Oppo Pad 5 runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultra, paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. I tested the 8GB plus 256GB variant.
This is not a performance-first tablet on paper, but in daily use, I never felt like it was struggling to keep up.
In my testing, it scored just under 985,000 on AnTuTu. Geekbench returned 998 in single core and 3136 in multi core. On 3DMark, stability was an impressive 99.4 per cent, with loop scores sitting between 860 and 865. The numbers are respectable, but what mattered more to me was how consistent they felt.
From what I experienced, Oppo has tuned this device conservatively. It does not spike aggressively for short benchmark bursts. Instead, it focuses on sustained stability, and that shows in real-world usage.
I ran split-screen apps, floating windows, multiple Chrome tabs, background downloads, and YouTube playback at the same time. Everything remained smooth. App switching felt fluid, and I did not notice random frame drops.
Gaming performance is also pretty decent if you just want to enjoy a larger display. I tried games like BGMI, and it ran comfortably well. COD Mobile can hit up to 90FPS on low graphics, and gameplay was pretty stable. That 3DMark stability score actually reflects the experience I had.
While the Pad 5 may not be a tablet that is trying to top benchmark charts and gaming scores, &nbsp;it is a balanced, dependable performer built for everyday reliability.
<h2>Oppo Pad 5 Review: ColorOS 16 software experience</h2>
The Oppo Pad 5 runs on ColorOS 16 based on Android 16, and I have to say, it feels familiar in a good way.
The interface is clean and easy to understand. Nothing feels cluttered. There is a slight glassy look to parts of the UI, but it is subtle. It does not feel like it is trying too hard. I get the same customisation options that I have seen on recent Oppo and OnePlus phones, so if you have used one before, you will feel at home. The Flux theme is here as well, and I like how it matches app icons to the overall theme. It keeps everything looking neat.
This being 2026, there are a ton of AI features, but they do not feel forced. I tried AI summaries for text, and they worked fine for quick overviews. There are several AI photo editing tools built in, and Google Gemini support is integrated too. I did not feel like these were gimmicks, but I also did not feel like they were revolutionary. They are just useful additions.
Where I genuinely enjoyed the experience was multitasking. I used split screen a lot, and it ran smoothly. Floating windows were responsive. You also get a ton of cross-device features, which were easy to use in my testing. Phone mirroring worked consistently, and moving files between Android phones, iPhones, and even my PC felt intuitive and hassle-free.
Oppo says it will keep performance smooth for four years. For a tablet, long-term stability is important, and I appreciate that commitment.
<h2>Oppo Pad 5 Review: 10,050mAh battery and 33W charging</h2>
Battery life ended up being one of the most reassuring parts of my time with the Oppo Pad 5.
It packs a 10,050mAh battery, and in my usage, it comfortably lasted around a day and a half. That included streaming shows, browsing, taking notes, some light gaming, and a few video calls in between. I never felt anxious about the battery dipping too quickly, which is exactly what I want from a tablet.
The standby drain was low as well. When I left it idle overnight, the percentage barely moved, which tells me the optimisation is doing its job.
Charging is rated at 33W, and Oppo includes a 45W charger in the box. From low to full, it took me roughly an hour and a half. It is not class-leading fast, but it is practical and predictable.
For a tablet this size, the endurance feels stable and dependable, which honestly matters more than flashy charging speeds.
<h2>Oppo Pad 5 Review: Verdict</h2>
After spending two weeks with the Oppo Pad 5 as my go-to secondary device, I think Oppo has played this one smartly.
This is not a tablet that wins you over with one dramatic headline feature. It is not the fastest, not the flashiest, and not trying to redefine the category. What it does instead is quietly get almost everything right. The display is sharp, colour accurate, and genuinely enjoyable for streaming. The quad speakers add to that immersive feel. Performance is stable and consistent, whether I was multitasking, browsing, or playing games casually. Battery life is dependable enough that I never felt nervous stepping out without a charger.
Even the design, while not radical, feels practical and comfortable for long sessions, which matters more than bold aesthetics on a tablet.
At ₹26,999 for the Wi-Fi model and ₹32,999 for the 5G variant, I feel the Oppo Pad 5 offers a well-balanced package. If you want a tablet that can handle content consumption, productivity, note-taking, and some gaming without obvious compromises, this makes a strong case for itself. It is not trying to dominate one category. It is trying to be reliably good at all of them, and in my experience, it succeeds.

Tecno Pova Curve 2 5G

<h3>Tecno Pova Curve 2 5G packs an 8000mAh battery into a slim 7.42mm body, offering standout endurance, a curved 144Hz AMOLED display and stable mid-range performance at ₹27,999.</h3>

Tecno isn&rsquo;t hiding what the Pova Curve 2 5G is about. This is a phone built around one clear headline: an 8,000mAh battery inside a slim 7.42mm body. In a mid-range market where big batteries usually translate into bulky designs, Tecno is betting that this combination alone is enough to grab attention.&nbsp;
Pair that with a curved AMOLED display and an unapologetically bold design, and the Pova Curve 2 positions itself as a device that wants to stand out visually and practically.
That positioning carries into the pricing. The Pova Curve 2 5G is available in two variants: 8GB RAM with 128GB storage at ₹27,999, and 8GB RAM with 256GB storage at ₹29,999. Tecno is also offering cashback benefits of up to ₹3,000 through select banks and NBFC partners, which brings the effective price closer to more aggressively priced rivals.&nbsp;
At these numbers, Tecno isn&rsquo;t chasing value-for-money headlines alone. Instead, it&rsquo;s asking buyers to pay for endurance, design, and day-to-day usability.
The bigger question, then, is whether the Pova Curve 2 delivers beyond its standout battery and design. To answer that, it&rsquo;s worth looking closely at how it holds up in real-world use across display quality, performance, cameras, software experience, and charging.
<h2>Tecno Pova Curve 2 5G Design &amp; Build</h2>
Tecno clearly wasn&rsquo;t interested in playing it safe with the Pova Curve 2, and that&rsquo;s evident the moment you flip the phone over.&nbsp;
The back is dominated by a triangular camera module with dual cutouts, a layout that feels deliberately unconventional in a market obsessed with circular islands and iPhone-adjacent rectangles. It&rsquo;s a look you don&rsquo;t encounter often, and that alone gives the phone a distinct visual identity.&nbsp;
Adding to this is a secondary triangular accent near the bottom-right corner, which leans hard into a sci-fi, almost spaceship-like aesthetic. A continuous strip running across the back ties these elements together, making the design feel intentional rather than ornamental.
Design, of course, is deeply personal. But after two decades of watching smartphone aesthetics oscillate between bold experimentation and conservative minimalism, this feels like a refreshing deviation from the norm.
At a time when most brands are content with muted finishes and familiar silhouettes, the Pova Curve 2 dares to be loud. That also means it won&rsquo;t appeal to everyone. If your taste runs toward clean lines and understated elegance, this phone may feel a bit too expressive. For everyone else, it&rsquo;s a guaranteed head-turner.
Despite the visual drama, the phone itself is impressively slim at just over 7.4mm. In the hand, it feels lighter and thinner than you&rsquo;d expect, and that slimness is immediately noticeable during everyday use. There are compromises, though.&nbsp;
Both the frame and the rear panel are plastic, which slightly undercuts the premium aspirations of the design. Tecno does try to offset this with small touches, like the textured orange power button. It&rsquo;s easy to find by feel and adds a bit of character without being gimmicky.
Overall, the Pova Curve 2 feels like a device designed to stand out in a sea of sameness. It may not win over minimalists, but for users who want their phone to look different and aren&rsquo;t afraid of a bit of sci-fi flair, this is a design that confidently charts its own course.
<h2>Tecno Pova Curve 2 5G Display</h2>
Tecno&rsquo;s approach with the Pova Curve 2 display is clearly about creating impact first and refining the experience around it. Front and centre is a large 6.78-inch AMOLED panel that stretches edge to edge with a subtle curve along the sides.&nbsp;
The curvature is restrained rather than dramatic, which helps avoid accidental touches and keeps the phone practical for daily use. Resolution sits at Full HD+, sharp enough for everything from social feeds to long video sessions.
Where the panel tries to flex its muscles is in smoothness. The screen is rated for a 144Hz refresh rate, but in real-world usage, it behaves more intelligently than aggressively. Most interactions feel fluid without the phone constantly locking itself to the highest refresh setting. Only select games are able to tap into the full 144Hz capability, which is in line with how most high-refresh displays are handled today.
Brightness is another headline feature, with Tecno claiming a peak output of 4,500 nits. Indoors and in shaded environments, the display looks vibrant and punchy, with colours that don&rsquo;t appear oversaturated. Outdoors, the screen generally holds up well, though in very bright sunlight, you may still find yourself squinting or angling the phone slightly to read finer text.
One area Tecno seems keen to emphasise is eye comfort. The Pova Curve 2 uses high-frequency PWM dimming, which essentially means the display manages brightness changes at a speed fast enough to reduce perceived flicker.
During late-night use, the screen felt easy on the eyes, with no immediate discomfort during extended scrolling or video playback. However, this is the kind of feature that reveals its true value only after weeks, not days, of use.
Sound output is handled by speakers tuned with Dolby Atmos support. Volume levels are more than adequate for casual viewing, and dialogue in shows and videos comes through clearly. The stereo effect is present, but the bottom speaker does most of the heavy lifting, so how you hold the phone can affect the listening experience.
<h2>Tecno Pova Curve 2 5G Performance</h2>
At the core of the POVA Curve 2 is MediaTek&rsquo;s Dimensity 7100, a 6nm chipset that prioritises efficiency and consistency over raw firepower. It&rsquo;s paired with generous memory and storage configurations, including 8GB of physical RAM with additional virtual expansion, and UFS 2.2 storage in both 128GB and 256GB variants.&nbsp;
On paper, this places the phone squarely in familiar mid-range territory, especially when you consider that some battery-centric rivals, like Realme&rsquo;s Power series with the Dimensity 7300 and Dimensity 7400, do offer a noticeable step up in outright performance.
In everyday use, though, the Curve 2 holds its own. App launches are quick, multitasking feels fluid, and the phone doesn&rsquo;t show signs of hesitation during routine workloads. More importantly, the performance feels predictable rather than spiky, which matters far more than peak scores.
Gaming performance reflects the same philosophy. Titles like BGMI and Call of Duty Mobile run comfortably at 60fps for extended sessions, with no obvious stutters or aggressive throttling.&nbsp;
The phone doesn&rsquo;t chase ultra-high frame rates or maxed-out graphics, but it delivers stable gameplay without turning warm or dropping frames unexpectedly. For casual and mid-level gamers, it&rsquo;s more than adequate.
Where Tecno genuinely tries to carve out a point of difference is in connectivity. The POVA Curve 2 adopts a triple-chipset setup, pairing the Dimensity 7100 with two dedicated signal-processing chips.
In theory, this approach shifts network-related tasks off the main processor and onto specialised hardware, which should help maintain more consistent call and data performance in challenging conditions like crowded areas or weak-signal zones.
In real-world use with a Jio 5G SIM, the impact felt more subtle than transformative. I didn&rsquo;t notice a dramatic improvement compared with other phones in this segment, but just as importantly, I also didn&rsquo;t run into connectivity problems.&nbsp;
Calls remained stable, data throughput stayed consistent, and 5G signals held up where expected. It&rsquo;s the kind of feature that quietly underpins a reliable experience rather than one that jumps out as a game changer.
There&rsquo;s also an added emphasis on off-grid communication. The phone supports direct device-to-device connectivity over distances of up to two kilometres, without needing mobile data, Wi-Fi, or even a SIM. It&rsquo;s a niche feature, but one that could prove genuinely useful in emergencies or outdoor scenarios where networks are unreliable.
<h2>Tecno Pova Curve 2 5G Software</h2>
Software on the Pova Curve 2 feels more deliberate than flashy. HiOS 16, based on Android 16, doesn&rsquo;t try to overwhelm you with features, but it does show that Tecno is paying closer attention to how the phone actually gets used. The interface leans into softer visuals and layered effects, which makes it feel lighter and less cluttered than older versions of HiOS.
One feature that quietly improves daily use is Tecno&rsquo;s Dynamic Port. Instead of being a visual gimmick, it surfaces useful information like OTPs at the top of the screen, letting you glance and move on without breaking your flow. It&rsquo;s the kind of addition that fades into the background once you get used to it, which is usually a good sign.
Ella, Tecno&rsquo;s in-house AI assistant, replaces Google&rsquo;s offering by default. It handles basic tasks well enough, and the company&rsquo;s focus on local data handling may appeal to some users. That said, the option to switch to another assistant remains, which is the right approach.
There&rsquo;s some preloaded software, and a bit of early notification noise, but nothing that can&rsquo;t be cleaned up quickly. More than anything, HiOS 16 here feels calmer and more considered. It doesn&rsquo;t redefine the Android experience, but it no longer feels like an afterthought either.
The phone ships with HiOS 16 based on Android 16 out of the box and is guaranteed two major Android version updates, along with three years of security patches. That puts it in line with what most mid-range phones in this price bracket offer, without overselling longevity.
<h2>Tecno Pova Curve 2 5G Cameras</h2>
Camera hardware on the Pova Curve 2 5G is fairly straightforward, and Tecno isn&rsquo;t pretending otherwise. The phone relies on a 50MP main rear sensor, paired with a secondary 2MP unit that plays more of a supporting role than a meaningful creative one.
Video recording goes up to 2K at 30fps from the rear camera, which is still not a given in this price segment and is a practical win for users who shoot a lot of clips for social media.
In good daylight, the main camera delivers serviceable results. Photos have enough detail and contrast for everyday use, but the processing can be inconsistent. Colours tend to lean on the punchy side, and fine textures occasionally break down into visible grain, even when lighting is favourable. It&rsquo;s not a deal-breaker, but it does remind you that this isn&rsquo;t a camera-first device.
Low-light performance is where the limitations become more apparent. Noise creeps in quickly, and the camera struggles to preserve detail without aggressive smoothing. Night shots are usable for casual sharing, but expectations need to be kept in check. This is a camera that prioritises speed and convenience over accuracy.
The 13MP front camera mirrors the rear setup in philosophy. It supports 2K video recording, which is great to have for video calls and vlogging, but still images can be hit or miss. Skin tones sometimes look a little over-processed, and dynamic range is limited, especially under harsh lighting.
Overall, the Pova Curve 2&rsquo;s cameras are adequate rather than impressive. They get the job done for social media, video calls, and quick captures, but they don&rsquo;t stand out in a crowded mid-range market. Tecno&rsquo;s strengths with this phone lie elsewhere, and the camera setup feels like a functional addition rather than a headline feature. &nbsp;
<h2>Tecno Pova Curve 2 5G Battery &amp; Charging</h2>
Big batteries in slim phones are no longer rare. We&rsquo;ve already seen several devices with 7,000mAh to 7,500mAh cells manage respectable thickness without feeling cumbersome in daily use. Tecno isn&rsquo;t breaking new ground by pairing a large battery with a slim profile.
Where the POVA Curve 2 stands apart is in how far it stretches that formula. Stepping up to an 8,000mAh battery usually introduces compromises, but here the phone remains just 7.42mm thick. In the hand, it doesn&rsquo;t feel like a typical &ldquo;power bank phone,&rdquo; and the weight distribution stays comfortable even during long sessions.
That extra capacity delivers tangible gains in endurance. For most users, the phone can comfortably last close to two full days on a single charge. With heavier usage, including gaming, streaming, and constant connectivity, it still gets through a long day with enough reserve to avoid charging anxiety. Lighter usage patterns can push it well beyond the 48-hour mark.
Charging such a large battery is handled sensibly rather than aggressively. The POVA Curve 2 supports 45W fast charging, and Tecno includes the charger in the box. A full charge takes roughly an hour and forty minutes, which is reasonable given the battery size. More importantly, short charging sessions are genuinely useful, adding several hours of use in a brief plug-in.
The result is a phone that doesn&rsquo;t chase extremes in one direction. The POVA Curve 2 doesn&rsquo;t just offer a big battery for the sake of numbers; it integrates it into a slim, usable design, delivering endurance that feels practical rather than excessive.
<h2>Tecno Pova Curve 2 5G Review: Verdict</h2>
The Tecno Pova Curve 2 5G is a phone that knows exactly what it wants to be. Its biggest win is battery life, delivering long, stress-free usage without turning the phone into a heavy or uncomfortable slab. The slim design and curved display help it feel more premium than most battery-focused phones, and everyday performance remains stable and predictable.
That focus does come with compromises. Camera performance is serviceable but unremarkable, the chipset prioritises efficiency over raw speed, and the software experience, while improved, still requires some cleanup out of the box. None of these are deal-breakers, but they do define the kind of user this phone is meant for.
If you want a phone that looks different, lasts significantly longer than most, and handles daily tasks without fuss, the Pova Curve 2 makes a compelling case at its effective pricing. It doesn&rsquo;t try to be the best at everything, but it executes its core strengths well, and in a crowded mid-range segment, that clarity works in its favour.

HyperX Cloud Jet Review: Is This the Best Budget Wireless Gaming Headset?

HyperX

HyperX Cloud Jet – Dual Wireless Gaming Headset

The HyperX Cloud Jet offers strong comfort, reliable gaming audio, and dual wireless support for PC and mobile. While great for competitive play, its flat music tuning, rigid design, slow charging, and average battery limit its appeal as an all-round headset.

Trying to find a wireless headset that doesn&rsquo;t look like a glowing sci-fi toy is a real chore. Most cheap options out there honestly feel like plastic junk that will break in a week. That is why the HyperX Cloud Jet is interesting. It launched in India for about ₹5,400, promising HyperX&rsquo;s famous comfort and solid sound without the usual high price tag.
It has a clean matte finish and lets you jump between your PC and phone, so it clearly wants to be the only headset you use. I spent a full week testing it out with a bunch of games and different music genres. I wanted to see if it actually holds up or if HyperX just cut too many corners to make it this affordable.
<h2>Design &amp; Build: Is it actually comfortable?</h2>
Unboxing this HyperX headset is super basic. No extra junk or fancy filler in the box, which I actually like. You just get the headset, the 2.4GHz dongle, a charging cable, and the usual manual.
When I first pulled it out, the weight caught me off guard. At 298g, it has this weirdly dense feel in your hand. Most budget headsets feel like hollow plastic toys that might snap if you look at them wrong. These feel solid and well put together. The cool part? That weight just disappears once you put them on. HyperX nailed the frame balance.
Thanks to the suspension strap, the weight spreads out so well. I never got that annoying digging sensation on top of my head. I've worn these for hours during long gaming sessions. Honestly, I didn't feel that typical urge to rip them off for a break. It's one of those rare pieces of gear that feels way lighter on your head than when you're just holding it.
I'm using the Blue version. It's a breath of fresh air. I'm so tired of <a title="CMF Headphone Pro review: Big style, bigger battery, bold sound all for ₹7,999" href="https://www.editorji.com/tech-news/gadget-review/cmf-headphone-pro-review-big-style-bigger-battery-bold-sound-all-for-7-999-1768394697254" target="_blank">gaming headsets</a> that look like neon spaceships. This one skips the flashy RGB for a clean, matte finish. It looks professional on a desk. The branding is small and subtle. It doesn't scream for attention while you're trying to focus.
The ear pads use thick, padded mesh. If you get sweaty ears after an hour of playing, you'll love how much air these let in. But let's be real about the fabric. It's a bit more scratchy and textured than the smooth leatherette on pricier headphones. It felt a little irritating to me at first. You get used to it after a bit. Still, it's a different vibe if you're accustomed to that soft, buttery feel of high-end pads.
Every control is clustered on the left earcup. It's the main hub for power, the charging port, the volume dial, and the button to switch between dongle and Bluetooth. The mic is right there too. Swivel-to-mute design, which is my favourite. It's fast and intuitive. The arm is flexible but stays where you put it. No fighting with it mid-match.
The biggest headache? How rigid the frame is. The earcups have very little tilt and swivel. You can't really hang them around your neck comfortably on a break. If you try, the edges poke your chin. I eventually gave up and started leaving them on my desk every time I stood up. The headband isn't adjustable the traditional way either. The suspension strap works for most people. But if you have a larger head, the fixed frame might feel cramped. It's sturdy and quiet, but that lack of flexibility is the trade-off.
<h2>Sound performance and gaming audio</h2>
Under the hood, the HyperX Cloud Jet is rocking 40mm dynamic drivers, but let's be honest for a second, the tuning here is built strictly for the gaming crowd. If you are a music lover coming into this expecting a rich, hi-fi experience for your high-res audio files, you will likely walk away feeling underwhelmed.
I am quite picky when it comes to my music library, so I put these through the wringer with a massive variety of tracks. I listened to everything from Jazz and classic Rock to some really complex Indian Classical pieces and the latest Bollywood hits. To my ears, the soundstage just lacks the personality I want to hear at this price point. The audio profile feels a bit flat when you are actually trying to sit back and listen, missing that crisp high-end sparkle or the deep, rattling bass that makes a movie or song feel cinematic. It is perfectly fine for falling down a YouTube rabbit hole or listening to your favorite podcasts, but it won't impress anyone who prioritizes audio fidelity.
The experience definitely improves the moment you load up a game. I spent the bulk of my testing time on mobile titles like BGMI and COD Mobile, and the performance there was solid and predictable. Footsteps came through sharp and clear, making it easy enough to figure out exactly where an enemy was hiding. That is basically the main goal for competitive play. Over on my PC, I tried a few rounds of Apex Legends and found the spatial awareness was actually pretty impressive. It is clear that the "Signature HyperX Sound" is tweaked to boost the mids and highs. This makes the sound of a reload or a distant gunshot pop out more than usual. It isn't going to change your life, but it is very reliable gear for a daily gamer.
I also made a point to check the latency, especially for those who might try to use these for creative work or music production. Trying to use Bluetooth with a DAW is almost always a disaster, and this was no different. The lag over Bluetooth was so significant that trying to monitor audio in real time was basically impossible.
Switching over to the 2.4GHz dongle on my PC fixed the lag issues almost entirely. It brought the delay down to a point where it was barely noticeable for casual use. Even so, I wouldn't suggest picking these up if you are looking for serious studio tools. As for the audio codecs, the brand doesn't explicitly list them in the marketing, so I won't speculate too much. However, at the very least, you have support for the standard SBC and AAC formats.
<h2>Mic performance and call quality</h2>
The microphone on the Cloud Jet is a bit of a hit-or-miss situation for me. While hanging out on Discord, my teammates said I came through loud and clear without any real issues. I&rsquo;m a huge fan of the swivel-to-mute feature because it is just way faster than hunting for a tiny button during a frantic match. However, do not expect the noise filtering to pull off any miracles. It handles steady background hums okay, but it won&rsquo;t hide the loud clacking of a mechanical keyboard or people talking nearby. It is fine for casual squad comms, but it won't give you a silent bubble in a loud room.
For standard voice or video calls, the experience is basically the same. Most people won't wear a bulky headset while walking down the street, but I tested them in a crowded area just to see. Surprisingly, nobody complained about the ambient noise. It wasn't crystal clear, but it also didn't let the environment drown me out entirely. For basic calls, it works well enough. If you are gaming on your phone and an important call hits, you can take it without sounding like you are standing in a wind tunnel.
<h2>Connectivity and on-board controls</h2>
The way this headset handles connections is honestly its strongest selling point. It features a dual wireless setup that lets you switch between the lag-free 2.4GHz dongle and Bluetooth 5.3 with zero hassle. When you are sitting at your desk playing on a PC or console, the dongle is the way to go because the latency is basically invisible. That is a must-have for anyone playing fast-paced shooters where every millisecond counts. I personally treated the Bluetooth more like a convenient backup. It is great for answering a quick phone call or doing some light gaming on your mobile without needing to grab a different pair of headphones.
Regarding the actual controls, the layout is extremely straightforward. As I pointed out in the design part, everything is gathered on the left earcup. To recap, you get a volume wheel, the power button, and a dedicated switch to jump between the two wireless modes. It is a very clean, simple setup that does not force you to go digging through a user manual. You will likely have the muscle memory figured out within the first hour of using them.
If I am being picky, the total absence of a companion app is a bit of a bummer. You aren't going to find any deep EQ settings or custom sound profiles here. If you want to tweak the audio, you will have to rely on your device settings or whatever software you happen to be running at the time. While that is pretty common for more affordable wireless gear, having even a basic software suite would have made the entire experience feel a lot more polished.
<h2>Battery and charging</h2>
HyperX claims you can get about <a title="Oppo Enco Buds3 Pro+ Review: ANC That Actually Works Under ₹2,500" href="https://www.editorji.com/tech-news/gadget-review/oppo-enco-buds3-pro-review-anc-that-actually-works-under-2-500-1766497263765" target="_blank">25 hours on Bluetooth</a> or 20 hours using the dongle, provided you stay around 50% volume. In my actual testing, that low-battery warning usually starts chirping at me around the 19-hour mark. While 20 hours is enough to get through a few heavy gaming sessions, it feels a bit behind the curve when you consider that many competitors in this same price bracket are now pushing 40 or even 50 hours of life.
The biggest frustration is definitely the charging speed. It takes nearly four and a half hours to get back to a full charge, which is honestly a slog. If you forget to juice them up overnight, you will be tethered to a cable for basically the entire morning. It works if you are strict with your routine, but that slow charging feels very behind the times.
<h2>Price and where to buy</h2>
The box for the HyperX Cloud Jet shows a price of ₹6,976, but you really shouldn't pay that much. That is just the official MRP. You can almost always find it for much less at local stores or online. If you are trying to save some serious cash, I suggest keeping an eye on Amazon. It frequently goes on sale there, and I&rsquo;ve seen it drop as low as ₹4,999. It is definitely worth waiting for one of those price cuts before you pull the trigger.
<h2>Final verdict: Should you buy it?</h2>
Ultimately, the HyperX Cloud Jet is a specialized piece of gear rather than a crowd-pleaser. If your main goal is climbing the ranks in BGMI or Apex Legends, the solid spatial tracking and long-term comfort make it a dependable choice. Having that dual wireless connectivity is a massive plus too, since you can jump from PC gaming to a mobile call without any annoying setup changes.
Still, it falls short of being a true versatile daily driver. If you want a pair of headphones that actually brings some life and personality to your music collection, the flat tuning here will probably disappoint you. Combine that with the stiff, non-rotating design and the incredibly slow charging times, and it becomes much harder to recommend for people who need one headset to do everything. You should grab these if you only care about competitive gaming audio and a lightweight feel. For anything else, there are better options out there.

Realme P4 Power 5G

Realme P4 Power 5G is built around a massive 10,001mAh battery, delivering extreme endurance, a smooth 144Hz display, and dependable performance for users who value long battery life over everything else.

We all expected that by 2026, the fear of a dead phone would be a distant memory, but most of us are still hunting for charging ports by mid-day. The Realme P4 Power 5G feels like it was designed out of pure spite for that struggle. It aims to be the final solution for anyone tired of living on a low-battery warning.
While other manufacturers are playing it safe by inching toward 7,000mAh, Realme has gone nuclear with a 10,001mAh Titan Battery. It is a massive jump that honestly makes every other flagship look outdated. I have been using the TransSilver edition as my daily driver to see if this is just a spec-sheet flex or a real game-changer. A huge battery means nothing if the phone is a brick or lags under pressure.
Launching today, January 29, the P4 Power 5G starts at ₹25,999 for the 8GB+128GB base model. I tested the 12GB+256GB version, priced at ₹30,999, to see if it can actually survive the ultimate endurance test.
<h2>Unboxing &amp; Design: The "Power of Paradox"</h2>
The unboxing experience feels refreshingly grounded to me. In the box, I get the phone, a standard clear TPU case that protects the back without hiding the TransSilver finish, which is also available in TransOrange and TransBlue, and a full 80W SuperVOOC charger. It is a relief to see a brand still including both the charging brick and a solid cable, as it means I can get the advertised charging speeds from day one without buying anything extra.
Once I remove the plastic, it is immediately clear that <a title="Realme 16 Pro+ Review: Real-World Performance, Big Battery, Serious Cameras" href="https://www.editorji.com/tech-news/gadget-review/realme-16-pro-review-real-world-performance-big-battery-serious-cameras-1767698966416" target="_blank">Realme</a> was not aiming for subtlety. The TransSilver unit I have been using is built around a bold, two-part design that demands attention. The top section is dominated by the TransView window, a transparent panel that reveals circuit-inspired patterns and exposed screw details. It has a gritty, mechanical character that feels intentional and loud. This design clearly leans into a tech-forward, expressive identity, favouring personality over the safe, minimal glass slabs that dominate the market.
The lower half of the phone takes a more practical direction. It transitions into a matte finish exactly where my palm naturally grips the device. I see this as a smart functional choice because the added texture provides better grip and a sense of security that glossy phones often lack. The contrast between the transparent top and the matte bottom gives the phone a distinct identity without making the design feel cluttered.
The camera island follows the same confident design language. It is a raised rectangular block with two large circular rings stacked vertically, along with a slim strip housing the third sensor and the flash. You do notice the bump when the phone is placed flat on a desk, but the layout feels deliberate rather than something added as an afterthought.
What impressed me most is the engineering behind the size. Packing in a massive 10,001mAh battery usually results in a phone that feels like a brick, yet Realme has managed to keep the thickness to just 9.08mm. In my view, this is the biggest highlight of the phone itself. It feels dense and substantial, but the quad-curved display and the way the back panel tapers into the frame help it sit comfortably in my hand.
At 219 grams, I do notice the weight when coming from a smaller phone, but it is lighter than several flagship devices with much smaller batteries. More importantly, the weight distribution feels well balanced. It never feels top-heavy while I am typing or scrolling, which helped avoid the hand fatigue I expected. It is a large phone, but one that remains practical for daily use.
<h2>Battery and Charging: Entering the 10,000mAh era</h2>
Since the <a title="Realme P4 Power 5G First Look: 10,001mAh battery, crammed into a slim design" href="https://www.editorji.com/tech-news/mobiles/realme-p4-power-5g-first-look-10-000mah-battery-crammed-into-a-slim-design-1768974283807" target="_blank">Realme P4 Power 5G</a> is essentially a gigantic battery pack with a phone attached, the battery performance deserves real attention. While most brands spent 2025 cautiously nudging capacities to 6,000 or 7,000mAh, Realme threw caution to the wind. After using the phone for a few days, my idea of what &ldquo;good&rdquo; battery life actually means shifted completely. The 10,001mAh Titan Battery is not just a spec-sheet flex. It genuinely changes how you treat the device day to day.
To see if those numbers actually held up, I decided to be a bit unreasonable. I charged the phone to 100% and let 4K YouTube videos loop continuously. No power-saving modes, no lowered brightness, just raw, constant playback. Most phones would struggle to make it through a workday like this, but the P4 Power took three full hours just to drop its first 10%.
After 12 hours of straight playback, the battery was still sitting at a healthy 57%. By the 24-hour mark, I was genuinely tired of checking the percentage, yet it was still holding on at 22%. It finally dipped to 20% after 24 hours and 29 minutes of nonstop 4K streaming.
I expected that final 20% to drain quickly, but that did not happen. The phone did not shut down until the 29-hour and 31-minute mark, meaning the last stretch alone delivered nearly five additional hours of runtime. Realme claims around 32.5 hours of YouTube playback, and since I was not using any power-saving features, those lab numbers actually seem fairly conservative. For most users, this is easily a two-day phone, and stretching it to three days is very realistic if you are not glued to the screen.
A big reason this works is the battery technology itself. Realme is using a silicon-carbon anode battery, which allows far higher energy density without turning the phone into something that feels like a brick. There is also a &ldquo;Titan Long-Life Algorithm&rdquo; baked into the software, which Realme claims can keep the battery healthy for up to eight years. That is a bold promise, but charging the phone far less often does make the maths for longer battery life add up.
Despite the massive capacity, charging is surprisingly quick. The 80W UltraDart charging took the phone from zero to 100% in about one hour and 11 minutes. A 36-minute top-up gets it to 50%, which, on this phone, is enough to last an entire day.
I also ended up using the 27W reverse charging more than expected. With such a large battery, the P4 Power effectively doubles as a high-speed power bank. I plugged in my Realme 14 Pro+ and saw it jump from 31% to 41% in roughly 33 minutes. Combined with bypass charging, the entire power setup feels thoughtfully engineered rather than just oversized.
<h2>Display: 144Hz HyperGlow 4D Curve+</h2>
The best thing I can say about the display on the Realme P4 Power 5G is that I stopped noticing it after the first hour. That is usually a good sign. When a screen disappears into the background, it means it is doing its job well. On paper, this is a 1.5K 144Hz HyperGlow 4D Curve+ panel, and in everyday use, it makes the phone feel far more premium than the price would suggest. The quad-curved edges allow the glass to flow neatly into the frame, which visually trims down the phone and makes it feel less bulky than it actually is.
The 144Hz refresh rate is exactly as smooth as I expected. Scrolling through social feeds, switching apps, or moving through settings feels quick and fluid. While the full 144Hz mode is limited to supported apps and games, general motion handling remains consistently smooth. It is not an LTPO panel, but during my time with it, the LTPS technology felt efficient enough without any obvious drawbacks.
Brightness is where this display really stands out for me. Realme claims a peak brightness of 6,500 nits, which is clearly a lab figure, but the real-world performance still impressed me. Even under harsh midday sunlight in New Delhi, I had no trouble reading messages or checking maps. I never felt the need to search for shade just to see the screen clearly.
The colour tuning is also well judged. It looks punchy without slipping into that artificial, over-saturated look that many mid-range phones suffer from. Skin tones look natural, and with HDR10+ support, Netflix content feels dynamic, with good contrast and highlights that pop. I also appreciated the eye-care mode, which stays comfortable without turning everything yellow. Overall, this is a well-balanced panel that remains easy on the eyes, which matters when the battery encourages very long screen-on time.
<h2>Performance: Sustained power</h2>
The <a title="Realme P4 Pro Review: Best phone under ₹25,000?" href="https://www.editorji.com/tech-news/gadget-review/realme-p4-pro-review-best-phone-under-25-000-1756028306605" target="_blank">Realme P4</a> Power 5G is not trying to win benchmark trophies with its MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultra, and that feels deliberate. Built on a 4nm process, the chip is clearly tuned for consistency and reliability rather than headline-grabbing numbers. On paper, it is not a flagship processor, but that spec sheet does not fully reflect how the phone behaves in daily use.
In my day-to-day usage, performance felt surprisingly snappy. I usually keep far too many apps running in the background, but the phone handled that without slowing down. Opening apps like Instagram or Chrome was quick, and I did not run into the random stutters that often show up on mid-range phones. This is the kind of performance sweet spot most people actually want, where everything works smoothly without drawing attention to the hardware.
Out of curiosity, I ran a few benchmarks to see if the numbers matched my experience. On AnTuTu, the phone scored just over 8.7 lakh. Geekbench 6 returned a single-core score of 1060 and a multi-core score of 2942. These are not eye-catching figures, but they are solid for the price and line up with the stable behaviour I saw in real-world use.
Gaming was where I had some concerns, especially with such a large battery and whether Realme would need to throttle performance. The company claims a stable 90 FPS in BGMI, and in my testing, that claim held up. Gameplay felt fluid, with no sudden frame drops during intense moments. While the phone does allow higher frame rates in some cases, sticking to 90 FPS delivered the most consistent experience.
Thermals are something to keep in mind. In my tests, the phone started at around 24 degrees and climbed to 34 degrees within the first twenty minutes of gaming. After an hour, it hovered near 40 degrees, and by the two-hour mark, it reached roughly 44 degrees. At that point, the warmth becomes noticeable in your hands. Interestingly, I did not see this behaviour during my 24-hour YouTube playback test. The heat only showed up when the GPU was being pushed hard.
Overall, if you can tolerate some warmth during long gaming sessions, the P4 Power delivers stable, dependable performance that feels stronger than its price suggests. It comes across as a reliable workhorse rather than just another budget phone.
<h2>Software, UI &amp; UX, and AI</h2>
The Realme P4 Power 5G runs Realme UI 7.0 on top of Android 16, and from the first boot, the software feels fairly mature. The interface is smooth, and the animations feel quick without trying too hard to be flashy. Realme highlights its new Flux Engine for smoother transitions and improved background app handling, and in my daily use, it actually makes a difference. The phone stays responsive even when I am bouncing between multiple apps.
That said, this is still very much a Realme phone, which means there is a noticeable amount of pre-installed bloatware waiting for you out of the box. It is not the cleanest Android experience you can get. The upside is that most of these apps can be uninstalled. After spending a bit of time cleaning things up, the software feels far more manageable and less cluttered.
The UI becomes more interesting once you start using the AI features. I usually approach these with low expectations, but some of them are genuinely useful. AI Captions, for example, worked well for me while watching videos in noisy environments, and the accuracy for English content was better than expected.
There are also creative tools like AI Instant Clip and AI Perfect Shot, clearly aimed at people who post regularly on Instagram or Reels. They make it easy to fix framing or add lighting effects like AI LightMe without needing a separate editing app. Importantly, these features run smoothly on the hardware, which is not always the case on mid-range phones.
In terms of longevity, Realme promises three major Android updates and four years of security patches. For a phone in this price segment, that feels fair. Overall, the software is not perfect, mainly because of the bloatware, but it is stable, feature-rich, and well optimised.
<h2>Camera</h2>
The Realme P4 Power 5G uses a 50MP Sony IMX882 main camera paired with an 8MP ultra-wide, a setup we have seen plenty of times before. In daylight, the main camera does a decent job. Photos are sharp enough for most people, but it is clear that the software is doing a lot of the heavy lifting. Colours are noticeably boosted, especially greens and blues, giving shots an instant Instagram-ready look. It works well for social media, but calling the output natural would be a stretch.
Dynamic range is where the limits show up. Bright skies are handled reasonably well, but in high-contrast scenes, shadows tend to lose detail and turn into dark patches. The phone gets the shot, but it does not always balance the scene cleanly.
Portraits are surprisingly decent for the price. Edge detection usually holds up, though it still struggles with messy hair. The background blur feels a bit too aggressive for my taste, but it looks fine on a phone screen. My main issue is skin tones. Realme has moved away from the heavy plastic smoothing of older models, but there is still a visible AI-processed layer that makes faces look slightly artificial. It is not a dealbreaker, but it is noticeable.
The 8MP ultra-wide is fine for quick landscape shots, though the drop in sharpness compared to the main camera is obvious. On the positive side, colour consistency between the two lenses is good, so the gallery looks cohesive.
Selfies are good enough for video calls, even if they share that same processed look. Video recording tops out at 4K 30fps and looks sharp, but stabilisation shows its mid-range limits. It is fine when standing still, but walking footage has visible shake. Overall, this is a social-media-first camera setup that prioritises convenience over precision.
<h2>Verdict: Should you buy it?</h2>
If you are tired of carrying a power bank everywhere, the Realme P4 Power 5G makes a very strong case for itself. It feels tailor-made for students, frequent travellers, or anyone who spends hours streaming videos and just wants a phone that can last through a long weekend. That massive 10,001mAh battery, paired with a 144Hz display, turns it into a genuinely solid device for media consumption.
That said, it is not trying to please everyone. If mobile photography is a priority or if you cannot tolerate a phone that warms up during long gaming sessions, this is probably not the right pick. The cameras are clearly tuned for quick social media shots, and sustained GPU-heavy gaming does bring noticeable heat.
Ultimately, this phone knows exactly what it is meant to be. If you want a reliable workhorse that simply refuses to run out of juice, it is hard to beat right now. It prioritises real-world endurance over chasing benchmark glory.

The Logitech MX Master 4 refines a familiar formula with better materials, new haptics, an Action Ring button, and long battery life, while still leaning heavily on software.

Logitech MX Master 4 review: Still the productivity king?

Logitech

Logitech MX Master 4

<h3>The Logitech MX Master 4 builds on a familiar design with revised materials, new haptic feedback, an Action Ring button, updated connectivity, and long battery life.</h3>

The MX Master 4 carries a reputation that very few computer accessories ever get to inherit. There is a reason creators like Marques Brownlee, Ali Abdaal, Casey Neistat, Austin Evans, and MrWhoseTheBoss have all, at different points in their careers, relied on the MX Master. That trust was built through long workdays, reliable tracking, and a level of customisation that adapts easily to different workflows.
I have wanted an MX Master on my desk for a long time, so when the opportunity to review the MX Master 4 came up, I took it without hesitation. This is not a gaming mouse, and it does not attempt to be one. My Logitech G304 still makes far more sense in that role. But for productivity, comfort, and extended all-day use, the MX Master 4, like the models before it, operates on a different level.
Rather than pushing for a dramatic redesign, Logitech has taken a measured path. The MX Master 4 looks familiar at first glance, but the changes start to matter once it becomes part of your daily routine.
With an official price of ₹15,000 and online pricing closer to ₹12,000, it sits firmly in premium territory. The question, then, is straightforward: after wanting one for so long, is this finally the MX Master I would buy myself?
<h2>Logitech MX Master 4 Review: Design and ergonomics</h2>
Anyone coming from an older MX Master will feel right at home with the MX Master 4 almost instantly. The hand position, the overall posture, and the way the mouse fills your palm are all familiar. Logitech has not attempted to rework the fundamentals here, and visually it still sits very close to the MX Master 3S. That sense of continuity is deliberate. The real changes reveal themselves only after days of regular use, where the MX Master 4 starts to feel more polished and better thought through.
The mouse is offered in Graphite and Pale Grey, with a dedicated Mac variant available in White Silver. Colour options aside, the biggest improvement this generation comes down to materials. The rubberised finish on the MX Master 3S was one of its weakest points. It felt premium initially, but it did not age gracefully. Dust, skin oils, and everyday grime clung to it easily, and extended use often resulted in uneven wear and glossy patches that made the mouse feel prematurely worn.
That issue has been addressed decisively. The MX Master 4 switches to a higher-grade plastic across most of its surface. It still feels soft and pleasant in the hand, but without the tacky, dirt-loving behaviour of the earlier coating. Rubber has been restricted to the left and right wings, where grip is genuinely useful. In everyday use, this change makes the mouse feel cleaner, more durable, and far easier to maintain.
The left wing doubles as a thumb rest and now integrates the Actions Ring button. This is also where the haptic feedback is delivered. In use, the placement feels natural and intuitive. The button sits exactly where the thumb expects it to be, and I rarely needed to adjust my grip to reach it.
Logitech has also refined the main click area. The buttons are marginally larger, the loop around the scroll wheel has been removed, and the odd plastic extension on the right-click button from the MX Master 3S is no longer present. These are small tweaks individually, but together they give the mouse a cleaner and more cohesive look.
Click noise remains minimal. Like previous MX Master models, the MX Master 4 uses heavily dampened switches. There is very little audible feedback, and that is clearly intentional. Logitech has tuned this mouse for offices, shared workspaces, and long professional sessions where constant clicking can quickly become irritating. It may not satisfy those who enjoy pronounced tactile feedback, but it makes the mouse easy to live with for hours on end.
Scrolling continues to be a highlight. Both the MagSpeed main wheel and the thumb scroll wheel are aluminium, and both feel premium. The MagSpeed wheel remains exceptional. It offers precise, stepped scrolling when control matters, and seamlessly switches to free-spin mode at the press of a button. Even better, it adapts automatically to speed. Fast flicks glide freely, while slower movements return to controlled scrolling without any manual input.
The thumb wheel, while functional, still lags behind the MagSpeed wheel in feel. It is not as smooth, and the lack of a click limits its usefulness. Considering the mouse already offers eight programmable buttons, this feels like a missed opportunity to expand functionality further.
Below the thumb wheel sits the redesigned gesture button. Its new position makes it easier to press intentionally, and it feels more reliable during repeated use.
Despite not being marketed as a dedicated ergonomic mouse, the MX Master 4 is among the most comfortable work mice I have used. I have larger hands, and the shape fits exceptionally well. Long work sessions never caused fatigue or discomfort. It is still disappointing, though, that a left-handed version remains absent.
This is also not a mouse built for constant lifting or fast flicks, which makes gaming a poor fit. The grip does not encourage aggressive movements, and the Actions Ring button can be triggered unintentionally if you hold the mouse tightly. At 150 grams, it is also relatively heavy. By comparison, my Logitech G304 comes in at 99 grams with an AA battery.
That weight works against it in games, but becomes an asset in creative software. In tools like Photoshop and InDesign, the mouse feels planted and controlled, encouraging slower, more deliberate movements.
There is also a small nod to sustainability. The MX Master 4 is more serviceable, with exposed screws that should allow battery replacement in the future. While this has been possible in certain regions before, sourcing official replacement batteries in India remains difficult unless you are willing to venture into unreliable territory.
<h2>Logitech MX Master 4 Review: Connectivity &amp; Tracking</h2>
In terms of connectivity, the MX Master 4 gives you two clear options. You can use Logitech&rsquo;s Bolt receiver, or go completely dongle-free with Bluetooth 5.1 Low Energy. I genuinely like having both, mainly because I switch between different work setups fairly often.
You can pair the mouse with up to three devices, and switching between them using the button on the bottom is quick and straightforward. Moving between my laptop and desktop felt fast and mostly seamless in day-to-day use.
Logitech says it has improved the internal antenna design and claims a wireless range of up to 10 metres. From my testing, that claim mostly holds up. As long as there were no major obstacles in the way, the connection stayed stable even when I moved a decent distance away from my desk.
For tracking, the MX Master 4 uses Logitech&rsquo;s Darkfield high-precision sensor, and it has been rock solid for me. I tested it on a polished wooden desk, a regular sheet of paper, and even on glass. Tracking stayed consistent across all of them, including glass, which is still something many mice struggle with.
The DPI range goes from 200 all the way up to 8,000, and you can adjust it in fine 50-DPI steps. That level of control is genuinely useful if you care about dialing in pointer speed exactly the way you like it.
The weak point here is the polling rate. Whether you use the Bolt receiver or Bluetooth, it is capped at 125Hz. That feels disappointing at this price, especially when even basic wireless mice bundled with budget keyboard combos run at the same rate.
Connectivity itself is simple enough, but the experience of the mouse is incomplete without the Logi Options+ software. Until I installed the software, even basic things like the back and forward buttons did not work. Once everything is set up, though, the mouse finally delivers what you are paying for.
<h2>Logitech MX Master 4 Review:&nbsp;Software</h2>
Logi Options+ is, without question, the most polished customisation software I have used from any peripheral brand so far. Even large PC makers like Dell, HP, and Asus could learn a thing or two from it. The interface is clean, the setup process is easy to follow, and nothing feels confusing or unnecessarily buried. From a pure design and usability perspective, Logitech has done this part really well.
However, I have a few issues, with the first and foremost being, that you need Logi Options+ in the first place. Without the software installed, a large chunk of what you are paying ₹12,000 to ₹15,000 for simply does not function. Even basic buttons like back and forward are useless until the app is up and running.
Logitech positions the MX Master 4 as a productivity mouse for professional and corporate users. In that context, setup at work should be painless. In reality, it is anything but. On most office machines, installing third-party software like Logi Options+ is painfully convoluted thanks to enterprise level security.
Even with admin access on my work system, I had to get the IT team involved to adjust permissions before the software would behave properly. On top of that, the app asking for keystroke access immediately raised concerns. I had to explain why that permission was required, which is not a great conversation to have in a corporate environment.
A potential workaround would be setting the mouse up on another system and then using it at work. That is not an option here. The MX Master 4 has no onboard memory, so none of the customisations carry over. You have to use the Logi Options+ app, and have it run in the background.
On my personal MacBook, though, the entire setup took under three minutes and worked flawlessly.
Once everything is in place, the experience is excellent. You get to set workflow-specific shortcuts, and profiles, like I did for Photoshop and Lightroom, which made my life a lot easier.&nbsp;
<h2>Logitech MX Master 4 Review:&nbsp;Haptics and the new Action Ring</h2>
The MX Master 4 introduces two features that actually move the series forward in a meaningful way: the new haptic feedback system and the dedicated Action Ring button. These are not minor tweaks or background additions. They directly change how the mouse feels and how quickly you can get work done.
Starting with haptics, the feedback is stronger than I expected from a mouse that still looks this understated. Logitech gives you four intensity levels to choose from: subtle, low, medium, and high. I left mine on low, and even that felt more than enough for everyday use. Anything higher quickly starts to feel excessive.
The idea behind the haptics is simple. The mouse gives you a small physical confirmation when an action is completed. It is not meant to grab your attention or pull focus, but to reinforce what you are already doing. Once you get used to it, it starts to feel surprisingly natural.
A good example is layer alignment in Adobe Photoshop. Normally, you rely entirely on visual cues to know when a layer snaps perfectly into place. With the MX Master 4, I also got a subtle haptic nudge the moment alignment was complete. It sounds trivial, but during detailed edits, that extra confirmation genuinely helped, especially when making very fine adjustments.
You get similar feedback when using the Action Ring, Smart Actions, and gesture shortcuts. The haptics also kick in when switching between desktops or workspaces, which makes those transitions feel intentional rather than something you triggered by accident.
The other big addition is the Action Ring itself. While Action Rings technically came to the MX Master 3S through a software update, the MX Master 4 is the first model to support them properly with a dedicated hardware button. That distinction matters in daily use.
Pressing the Action Ring button brings up a circular menu of actions that changes depending on the app you are using. These actions are essentially macros tied to shortcuts, but the way they are presented makes them quick and intuitive to access. Logitech claims this can save up to 33 percent of working time and reduce mouse movement by 67 percent. I did not measure those numbers, but while editing photos in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop for this review, my workflow did feel noticeably faster and more fluid.
Inside Logi Options+, you can also create multiple profiles within the same app. For example, you can set up separate Photoshop profiles for photo retouching and for vector or path-based work, each with its own shortcuts. Similar setups work well in Lightroom, DaVinci Resolve, and most other creative applications.
Rounding things out are familiar features like Easy Switch for managing three connected devices through the software, continued Action Ring integration, and Logi Flow, which lets you drag files, images, and text between two computers simply by moving your cursor across screens.
<h2>Logitech MX Master 4 Review:&nbsp;Battery</h2>
The MX Master 4 has a 650mAh battery, with Logitech claiming up to 70 days of use. I am inclined to believe that, because after a week of heavy use, my unit only dropped from 100 to 90 percent. Charging happens over USB-C, and a minute or two easily gets you through a full workday, without any range anxiety either.
<h2>Logitech MX Master 4 Review:&nbsp;Verdict</h2>
Spending time with the Logitech MX Master 4 as my work mouse made its priorities obvious. This is a mouse designed around long hours at a desk, not something meant to impress quickly. Comfort continues to be the core strength.
The material changes make a difference in daily use, the MagSpeed scroll wheel remains unmatched, and the mouse feels planted and predictable during fine, detail oriented work. The addition of haptic feedback and the hardware backed Action Ring button also deserves mention. What felt unnecessary at first gradually became helpful.
There are compromises that cannot be ignored. The weight alone makes gaming unrealistic, the 125Hz polling rate feels embarrassingly low for a mouse at this price, and the thumb scroll wheel still falls short of the main wheel in feel and precision. I kept wishing there was a way to make it handle gaming duties, but that option is not there.
Software remains another concern. Logi Options+ is polished, but the reliance on it is frustrating. Without the software running, several features stop working, which becomes a problem in restricted office environments.
So would I still buy it, especially now that the MX Master 3S sells for much less? Yes. The older model had durability issues over time, and the MX Master 4 earns its place on my desk today.

Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G brings a 12.1-inch 120Hz display, Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 and a huge 12,000mAh battery. A practical Android tablet built for long use, but is it worth what Xiaomi is asking for it? Read our review to find out.

Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G Review: 12.1-inch display, Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 and a massive 12,000mAh battery

Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G

<h3>The Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G focuses on a large 120Hz display, reliable performance and a massive 12,000mAh battery, making it a practical Android tablet for long, everyday use.</h3>

I have spent plenty of time with the original Redmi Pad Pro, and it set a solid reference point for how a big, affordable Android tablet should feel. So when I started using the Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G, I was genuinely curious whether Xiaomi would push for something new or stick to a formula that already worked. It quickly became clear that this tablet leans firmly towards refinement rather than reinvention.
The moment I picked it up, everything felt familiar. The design philosophy has not really changed, and that is not a negative. Instead of chasing flashy changes, Xiaomi seems to have focused on smoothing out the experience, fixing small annoyances, and polishing the parts that matter most in daily use.
On paper, a lot looks similar: a large display, strong battery life, and accessories that suggest light productivity. But after using it every day for work, streaming, and casual tasks, it is obvious that the Pad 2 Pro prioritises practicality, stability, and long-term comfort over trying to replace a laptop.
<h2>Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G Review: A big, smooth screen that plays it safe</h2>
I want to start with the display because, on a tablet, this is the one thing that really shapes how usable it feels every single day.
With the Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G, the screen did not try to impress me in the first five minutes. Instead, it slowly won me over the longer I used it.
The tablet uses a 12.1-inch IPS LCD panel, and after days of working, binge-watching, and casual browsing, it felt like a sensible choice for this category. The 120Hz refresh rate makes a real difference in daily use. Scrolling feels smooth, app transitions look clean, and nothing ever feels jumpy or strained. I noticed this most during long reading sessions, where the higher refresh rate made the experience feel easier on my eyes rather than just visually flashy.
Dolby Vision support adds another layer to media consumption. Movies and shows look polished, with good contrast and controlled highlights, without pushing colours too hard. This is not a display that screams for attention, and I liked that. It stays comfortable over long sessions, which is exactly what I want from a tablet screen.
One design choice I appreciated more than expected was the bezel thickness. They are clearly visible, but in actual use, that works in the tablet&rsquo;s favour. I could hold the Pad 2 Pro securely without my palms constantly triggering the screen. Whether I was reading in portrait mode or watching videos in landscape, it felt easier to grip than tablets that chase ultra-thin bezels just for looks.
The 16:10 aspect ratio suits entertainment really well. Streaming content fills the screen nicely, with minimal black bars, and videos feel immersive. For productivity, especially when reviewing documents or reading long articles, I did sometimes wish for a bit more vertical space. That said, it never disrupted my workflow enough to be annoying, just something I noticed occasionally.
Sharpness was never a concern. The 2.5K resolution looks crisp at this size, with clear text and well-defined UI elements. Colours are handled in a balanced way too. With support for around a billion colours, photos and videos look lively but not exaggerated. Compared to the older Redmi Pad Pro&rsquo;s 12-bit panel, this is technically a downgrade, but in real-world use, I could not tell the difference unless I actively tried to.
Brightness peaks at around 600 nits. Indoors, I had zero complaints. Outdoors, direct sunlight does affect visibility, but the screen remains usable.
The quad-speaker setup with Dolby Atmos complements the display well. Audio is clear and reasonably loud, and the presence of a 3.5mm headphone jack just adds to the tablet&rsquo;s overall practicality.
<h2>Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G Review: Familiar looks, solid feel, and a focus on practicality</h2>
The Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G plays things very safe when it comes to design, and you notice that straight away. Visually, it feels almost like a continuation of the earlier Pad Pro, and as someone who has used that tablet quite a bit, the familiarity stood out straight away.&nbsp;
The wide, rectangular shape and overall proportions feel unchanged, and if you have seen the previous model, this one will look instantly recognisable.
I found the design a bit too safe. The aluminium back, paired with the plastic strip that houses the camera, gives it a clean but conservative look. On my grey unit especially, the tablet looks understated to the point of being almost dull.&nbsp;
Apart from a subtle triangular texture on the plastic section, there is very little visual drama. It does not try to stand out on a desk, and that felt like a very deliberate choice.
That said, the finish started to grow on me the more I used it. The matte coating on the back turned out to be genuinely practical. It does not attract fingerprints easily, and even after days of use, it continued to look fairly clean.&nbsp;
I also appreciated the symmetry on the rear. There are two circular rings, even though only one holds the camera. The second ring is for the LED flash, and while it is a small detail, it keeps the back from looking lopsided.
In terms of build quality, I had no complaints. The aluminium back and frame feel solid and reassuring, with no flex or creaks when handling the tablet. It feels tougher than many tablets in this price range.&nbsp;
Gorilla Glass 3 protects the front, and the IP54 rating gave me a bit more confidence using it around the house, in the kitchen, or while throwing it into my backpack.
The port and button layout felt sensible in daily use. I liked having USB-C, a proper 3.5mm headphone jack, a SIM tray for 5G, and a microSD card slot for storage expansion. At around 600 grams for the 5G variant, it is easy enough to carry around, but the large 12.1-inch size did make long handheld sessions tiring for me, especially when using it one-handed.
<h2>Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G Review:&nbsp;Accessories that add to the experience</h2>
Xiaomi offers a dedicated keyboard case and Smart Pen as optional add-ons for the Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G, and I spent some time using both to see how much they actually add to the experience.&nbsp;
The second-generation keyboard is made specifically for this tablet and doubles up as a protective case. In day-to-day use, I found it comfortable enough for emails, document edits, and quick notes. The keys have decent travel, and even during longer typing sessions, the layout never felt cramped or awkward.
That said, there are some clear limitations. The keyboard skips backlighting and does not include a trackpad, which immediately puts a ceiling on how far you can push it for serious work. It also connects over Bluetooth instead of using POGO pins, so it needs to be charged separately. In practice, this means one more device to keep an eye on, which slightly takes away from the plug-and-play convenience you expect from tablet accessories.
The Smart Pen follows a similar pattern. It needs its own charging and does not magnetically attach to the tablet, so there is no easy way to snap it on when you are done using it. However, once I actually started writing with it, those concerns faded a bit.&nbsp;
The pen feels responsive, palm rejection works well, and handwriting recognition is reliable. Pressure sensitivity makes it good for note-taking and light sketches, and the pen holder built into the keyboard case helped me keep it from getting lost.
<h2>Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G Review: Reliable performance that stayed consistent</h2>
Performance was never a concern for me while using the Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G. It runs on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, an upper mid-range chip that feels well matched to a large Android tablet. In daily use, things stayed smooth and predictable. Apps opened quickly, animations felt fluid, and moving between multiple apps never felt messy. I often had several apps running side by side, and the tablet handled that without slowing down.
My unit came with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. While those specs may not look impressive on paper, they did not hold the experience back in real-world use. Multitasking felt reliable, and I did not run into frequent app reloads during normal usage. I also appreciated that Redmi continues to offer expandable storage on both the Wi-Fi and 5G variants, which is useful if you plan to store a lot of media or large files locally.
Benchmark numbers line up with that experience. The tablet crossed around 1.1 million points on AnTuTu and delivered solid Geekbench scores. 3DMark stability results were also respectable, suggesting it can sustain performance over longer sessions without major drops.
Gaming performance was reassuring as well. I played BGMI and Call of Duty Mobile, and both ran smoothly with stable frame rates.&nbsp;
Overall, the Pad 2 Pro feels tuned for steady, long-term use rather than chasing peak benchmark numbers, which suits a tablet focused on media, gaming, and everyday productivity.
<h2>Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G Review:&nbsp;Stable software with strong multitasking support</h2>
Using the Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G, the software experience felt thoughtfully tuned for a large display, which is not something every Android tablet gets right. The tablet runs HyperOS 2 based on Android 15, and while the overall design language will feel familiar if you have used Xiaomi devices before, it adapts reasonably well to the tablet form factor. UI elements scale properly, layouts make good use of the extra space, and nothing felt awkwardly stretched or oversized. That said, some parts of the interface are starting to feel a little dated in terms of visual style.
Day-to-day use, however, was smooth. Animations and transitions are handled well, thanks to Xiaomi&rsquo;s HyperCore system running behind the scenes. The interface prioritises stability over flashiness, which worked in its favour during longer sessions. There are a few preloaded apps, but most of them feel tablet-relevant rather than unnecessary clutter, and none of them actively got in my way.
Where HyperOS 2 really impressed me was multitasking. Being able to run up to four apps at the same time turned out to be genuinely useful. I could mix split-screen views with floating windows, and the tablet handled it without feeling cramped or unstable. For my usual routine of watching videos, browsing the web, replying to messages, and taking notes simultaneously, this flexibility made the tablet feel far more capable.
On the AI side, Google Gemini is integrated into HyperOS 2, and in my use, it worked smoothly and reliably for everyday tasks.
<h2>Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G Review: A very basic camera setup</h2>
The cameras on the Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G are very much an afterthought, and that was obvious in my use. On the back, you get an 8MP camera with a flash, but image quality is strictly basic. I found it useful for scanning documents or QR codes, and not much beyond that. Photos lack detail and consistency, so it is not something I would rely on for actual photography.
The 8MP front camera is more practical. It handled Zoom meetings and WhatsApp calls just fine in good lighting, delivering clear and usable results. Video recording is capped at 1080p at 30fps on both cameras. Realistically, I only see myself using video mode in an emergency, not by choice.
<h2>Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G Review:&nbsp;Long-lasting battery that made charging a non-issue</h2>
Battery life has easily been one of my favourite parts of using the Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G. It comes with a huge 12,000mAh battery, and in real-world use, that size genuinely shows.&nbsp;
With my usual mix of streaming, browsing, light work, and occasional gaming, I was comfortably getting close to four days on a single charge. That kind of endurance really changes how relaxed you feel about using a tablet, especially if it is your main device for media or travel.
Charging is capped at 33W, and Xiaomi includes the charger in the box, which I appreciated. It is not the fastest out there, but it gets the job done without fuss.&nbsp;
The tablet also supports 27W reverse wired charging, which I found surprisingly useful for topping up my earbuds or giving my phone a quick boost when needed.
<h2>Verdict: Is the Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G worth buying?</h2>
Starting at ₹24,999 for the Wi-Fi version and ₹27,999 for the Wi-Fi + 5G model, the Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G makes its priorities clear. Xiaomi has focused on nailing the fundamentals instead of chasing premium touches.&nbsp;
Battery life is a clear strength, multitasking feels genuinely usable, and expandable storage across all variants adds to its day-to-day practicality. If you want a tablet that can comfortably last days without living near a charger, this one delivers.
The optional keyboard and Smart Pen also help push it beyond basic media use. They are not perfect, but they make typing, note-taking, and light work far more manageable. A magnetically charging pen and a backlit keyboard with a trackpad would have elevated the experience further.
There are trade-offs. The design is functional rather than inspiring, the display is good but not class-leading, and the AI features feel fairly basic. HyperOS 2 runs smoothly, but it already looks a bit dated.
Still, for the asking price, the Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G is a dependable, no-frills Android tablet that prioritises battery life, stability, and everyday usability.
