The Shiv Sena (UBT) on Wednesday said the question of leadership change in the Opposition INDIA bloc has resurfaced and can't be ignored, asserting that it has to be seen who will helm the alliance, in an apparent dig at the Congress.
The Uddhav Thackeray-led party referred to voices from disgruntled Congress members and those associated with the UPA dispensation, who suggested that the INDIA bloc leadership should be given to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee or Tamil Nadu CM M K Stalin.
"The decision has to be taken on Mamata, Stalin or someone else," an editorial in the Sena (UBT) mouthpiece 'Saamana' said. Instead of waking up when elections are announced and talking about the Opposition alliance, it is necessary to hold discussions among its partners and take decisions consciously, it opined.
The Congress has been helming the INDIA bloc, a coalition of Opposition parties formed before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections to counter the ruling BJP-led National Democratic Alliance.
"The issue of change in the leadership of the INDIA bloc has again come to the fore. What happened to the India bloc after the Lok Sabha polls? This question is before many. But has this question come to Congress's mind?" the editorial in 'Saamana' asked.
In West Bengal, the Congress is fighting against the Trinamool Congress (led by Banerjee). In Kerala, the Congress is against the Left. In Maharashtra, the Congress chose to contest independently in the recent civic body polls, which benefited the BJP, it noted.
"The question is as much of the nation as it is of the political discourse. Whenever elections are announced, the INDIA bloc may surely wake up and hold talks. But taking a conscious decision by sitting together is wiser," it suggested.
"The decision has to be taken on Mamata, Stalin or someone else," the Marathi publication added.
Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, has taken a good stand that he remains unbothered if he is "thrown out of Parliament" or cases are foisted on him by the government, which is good and reflects his fighting spirit, it said.
But workers become lethargic if they stay away from power and lose the hunger to come to power, the editorial said.
Even if the BJP did not get a majority (referring to the 2024 Lok Sabha poll results) and its government at the Centre survives on crutches, its "arrogance" has not ended, the Sena (UBT) claimed.
This is not the first time that the Sena (UBT) has expressed disappointment with the Congress. Responding to a question by PTI in an interview last month on whether the INDIA bloc exists, Thackeray said, "Probe a bit and check whether the INDIA bloc is there or not. This is right that we met only once after Parliament polls at Rahul ji's (Gandhi) residence."

A substantive motion is an independent, self-contained proposal submitted for the approval of a legislative house or assembly, drafted to express a decision or opinion.
"No privilege motion notice. I have given a substantive motion notice where in I have mentioned how he visits Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia with Soros Foundation, Ford Foundation and USAID, and colludes with anti-India forces," Dubey alleged.
The BJP MP demanded that the "Lok Sabha membership of Gandhi be cancelled and he be debarred from contesting elections for life".

BJP's women MPs have urged Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla to take the strongest possible action against the opposition MPs who have committed "heinous acts" like moving deep inside treasury benches, climbing the table and laying a siege of the seat of the Prime Minister.
The women MPs of the BJP also said that the "alarming turn of events" in the precincts of the Lok Sabha on February 4 has left everyone deeply concerned, as the situation had the potential to result in serious and untoward consequences and could have marked one of the "darkest moments" in the history of India's parliamentary democracy.
On February 4, Prime Minister Narendra Modi could not reply to the debate on the Motion of Thanks to the President's address to Parliament due to the opposition protests.
In their letter, the BJP's women MPs said they want to put on record their deep sense of gratitude and appreciation for the exemplary manner in which the Speaker upheld and protected the dignity, decorum, and sanctity of the Lok Sabha on February 4 during the discussion on the Motion of Thanks to the President's address.
On that day, the letter said that the entire House, and the whole nation, witnessed one of the "most unfortunate and regrettable incidents" within the Lok Sabha chamber.
"We saw that the members belonging to opposition parties not just entered the well of the House, but they also climbed on the table, tore papers and threw them towards the Chair.
"Moreover, distressingly, certain women Hon'ble Members crossed over to the other side with aggressive demeanour and banners and placards in their hands. They not only laid a siege of the seat of the Hon'ble Prime Minister but also moved deep inside the treasury benches where senior Ministers are seated," the MPs said in the letter.
The MPs said even though extremely agitated and furious at this grave provocation, the members belonging to the ruling party however, on the direction of the senior leaders, exercised utmost restraint and did not retaliate in any manner.
"Had we not exercised restraint, an ugly situation could have been created. To make matters even more serious, afterwards, we saw that the opposition MPs went in aggressively towards your Chamber. We could hear loud voices coming from within your Chamber," the letter said.
The BJP's women MPs said, "We, therefore, urge you to take strongest possible action under the rules, against the opposition MPs who have committed such heinous acts within the precincts of the House and brought disrepute to our democratic institutions".
They also said that during the nearly seven years of Birla's tenure as the Presiding Officer of the House, he has consistently endeavoured to enhance its prestige and effectiveness.
The MPs said as Speaker of the Lok Sabha, he has always displayed impartiality and given equal opportunity to all members irrespective of party affiliations.
"We, therefore, repose complete faith and confidence in your leadership and feel that the Lok Sabha is fortunate to have you as its custodian," they said.
The Lok Sabha has been witnessing disruptions since February 2, after Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was disallowed by the Chair from quoting from an article based on excerpts of former Army chief M M Naravane's "unpublished memoir", which has references to the India-China conflict of 2020.
On February 4, Prime Minister Narendra Modi could not reply to the debate on the Motion of Thanks due to opposition protests.
In an unprecedented move, the Motion of Thanks was passed on February 5 without the customary speech by the prime minister.
The Speaker read out the Motion of Thanks to the President for her address, and it was passed by a voice vote, amid sloganeering by opposition members.
Birla had also said that he received concrete information that many Congress MPs could carry out an "unexpected act" by reaching the spot where PM Modi sits and, therefore, he asked him not to come to the House to deliver his address.

On whether the opposition will seek to move such a motion, Venugopal said "after action you will get to know", and added that the entire opposition is united. "Cannot comment on reports, wait for action," he said.
Venugopal's remarks come after a meeting of opposition floor leaders in Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge's chamber in Parliament House complex this morning to decide on a joint strategy for the next few days.

Today, the LoP has not been allowed to speak and all opposition parties are united that if the LoP is not allowed to speak in the most important order of business in which the Budget session commences &mdash; the motion of thanks to the President's address &mdash; there is very little opportunity for the House to run, Ramesh said.
Ramesh posted on X a video of Singh's speech on March 10, 2005, recalling that the then PM had referred to the fact that he was prevented from replying to the Motion of Thanks on June 10, 2004. On Wednesday night, Ramesh had said that to recall and remind on June 10, 2004, the then prime minister was prevented by the BJP from speaking on the Motion of Thanks to the President's Address.

In the morning, floor leaders of several opposition parties met in Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge's chamber and it was decided that the issue of Gandhi "not being allowed to speak" on the President's address would be raised in the Rajya Sabha. Subsequently, Kharge raised the matter in the Upper House, even as the government asserted that the proceedings of the Lower House cannot be discussed in the Rajya Sabha.
Speaking with reporters in the Parliament House complex, Congress MP and AICC General Secretary organisation K C Venugopal had demanded that Gandhi and other opposition members be allowed to speak on the motion of thanks to the President's address. "Parliament is for debate and discussion. In parliamentary democracy, LoP has a right to speak and initiate the debate which has been completely denied in this House," Venugopal said.
He said the "single point agenda" of the opposition is that the LoP has to be allowed to speak. "Our demand is very clear, let LoP speak. When LoP began his speech, they disrupted the speech and switched off the mic. They passed on the mic to treasury benches. Not a single member from the opposition spoke," he said.
Venugopal reiterated that the LoP and all other opposition party leaders be allowed to speak. "Our fight is to protect parliamentary democracy. LoP must be allowed to speak, other opposition leaders can speak and then the PM can speak," he said.
Meanwhile, the suspended opposition MPs continued their protest on the steps and near the Makar Dwar of Parliament, raising slogans against the government.

As the protests continued, the Speaker adjourned the proceedings till 2 PM. Congress members stormed the Well, carrying posters with PM Modi's picture and 'Narendra-Surrender' slogan written at the top.
Samajwadi Party members too were in the Well, carrying three banners and pamphlets raising the issue of demolitions at the Manikarnika ghat on the river Ganga in Varanasi. The SP banners carried pictures of Rani Ahilyabai Holkar, who had developed the ghats nearly 300 years ago.
Trinamool Congress members were also in the Well joining the protest, while other members of the INDIA bloc, including the DMK and the Left, stood at their seats and in the aisle in solidarity.
The face-off between the government and the opposition in Lok Sabha had intensified on Tuesday following the suspension of one CPI(M) and seven Congress members for unruly behaviour for the remainder of the Budget session.

The BJP on Tuesday said it has filed complaints with Assam Police and the Election Commission against Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge for his alleged hate speech at an election rally in the state.
Assam BJP spokesperson Pranjal Kalita, in a statement, said while Congress leaders repeatedly claim to uphold the Constitution, their actions "blatantly contradict the very spirit of constitutional freedom and respect for all faiths".
He said one complaint has been filed at the Basistha police station in Guwahati, and another was lodged with the poll panel.
Kalita said that the "recent demand by Kharge to ban RSS-BJP not only reflects political intolerance but also exposes the intellectual bankruptcy within the party's top leadership".
"The Assam Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party strongly condemns the deeply offensive and irresponsible remarks made during an election rally on April 6 at Nilambazar in Sribhumi district, which amounted to an outright insult to Hindu beliefs and traditions," he added.
Such statements are not only condemnable, but also "dangerous for social harmony", Kalita said.
He also alleged that the Congress is deliberately attempting to "undermine 'Sanatan' culture", while projecting "other religions in a superior light", solely to gain political mileage.
This divisive approach has already been rejected by the people of Assam and the nation at large, he claimed.
"Taking serious note of this provocative and divisive rhetoric, the Assam BJP has lodged a formal FIR at Basistha Police Station in Guwahati and has also submitted a complaint before the Election Commission," Kalita said.
The ruling party has demanded immediate legal action against Kharge for allegedly spreading inflammatory and socially disruptive statements during the election campaign, he added.
Polling for the 126-member Assam Assembly will be held on April 9. Votes will be counted on May 4.
During an election rally in Assam's Sribhumi district on Monday, Kharge citing the Quran, said that if a poisonous snake is passing in front of someone, even if he is offering namaz, then he should leave the namaz and kill that poisonous snake.
"I would say that breaking the namaz does not matter. The RSS and the BJP are that poisonous snake. If you don't kill this snake, you will not survive," he said.
In the police complaint, filed by BJP Social Media In-Charge Ranjib Kumar Sarmah, the ruling party alleged that Kharge made "derogatory statements" describing the ideology of BJP and RSS as "poisonous for the society".
It claimed that the Congress chief labelled that organisations as "poisonous snake" and called for elimination of the BJP.
"This statement is hurting all the members of Bharatiya Janata Party, Mr Kharge is willing to promote enmity and wants to breach public peace and harmony in our society," the BJP complaint said.
Kharge's statement may lead to "communal clashes" between the indigenous communities of Assam, it added.
"Therefore, it is our humble request to take legal actions against the maker of the statement i.e. Mr Kharge as expeditiously as possible," Sarmah said in his complaint.
In his press release, Kalita asserted that in a desperate attempt to "appease a particular vote bank", the Congress party has "stooped to the extent of targeting the sacred symbols of Sanatan civilization".
"Sanatan civilization has always revered nature and its elements, including animals and living beings, as sacred. However, in a calculated attempt to polarize voters, Congress has tried to portray even the sacred ornaments of Lord Shiva as harmful, thereby hurting the sentiments of millions of devotees," he added.
The BJP will not tolerate any attempt to hurt religious sentiments, disturb social harmony or misuse electoral platforms for divisive propaganda, and strict action must be taken in accordance with the law, Kalita said.

The Congress on Monday attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for not condemning the continued US-Israeli air assaults on Iran as it slammed his statement in the Lok Sabha on the West Asia crisis, calling it "a master class in self-boasts, cowardice and partisan dialogue-baazi".
Expressing concern over the prime minister's "invocation of Covid" in his speech, Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh said the government's response to the pandemic had been "catastrophic" and the nation cannot forget the deeply depressing scenes of that time when people walked barefoot for hundreds of kilometres and "thousands died without oxygen".
In his statement, the prime minister on Monday called for a united approach, as was visible during the COVID-19 pandemic, to tide over the West Asia crisis.
The principal opposition party also demanded a discussion on the West Asia crisis in Parliament so that all sides are heard.
"The prime minister's uncharacteristically short speech in the Lok Sabha today was, as usual, a master class in self-boasts, cowardice, and partisan dialogue-baazi," Ramesh said in his post on X.
"Not a single word was uttered in condemnation of the continued US-Israeli air assaults on Iran. Iran&rsquo;s attack on the Gulf countries and the Strait of Hormuz are, to be sure, completely unacceptable - but so is the relentless bombing of Iran with the objective of regime change and state collapse," the Congress leader said.
Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra claimed that Prime Minister Modi did not say anything new in his statement on the West Asia situation in the Lok Sabha and demanded a discussion in Parliament so all sides can put forward their views.
"He informed the country about the situation, did not say anything new," she said outside Parliament House complex.
"The notice we have given for discussion should happen so that we can also reply and all sides can put forward their views. It would be good if a discussion happens in Parliament," the Congress general secretary said.
Reaffirming India's unwavering commitment to humanity and peace, the prime minister said in the Lok Sabha that dialogue and diplomacy remain the only path to resolution and every Indian effort is directed at de-escalation and the cessation of hostilities in West Asia.
Addressing apprehensions of fuel shortage, he said the government is in constant touch with suppliers from various countries to ensure that oil and gas supplies continue from wherever possible and informed that all power plants in the country have adequate coal stock. He also said that India is well prepared in terms of food security.
He recalled how even during the COVID-19 pandemic and associated global supply chain disruptions, when urea prices soared to Rs 3,000 per bag in international markets, the government ensured that Indian farmers received the same bag at less than Rs 300.
He urged the country to unite just as it had stood together during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Urging patience, restraint, and vigilance, and cautioning against those who may seek to exploit the situation by spreading falsehoods, engaging in black-marketing, or hoarding, Modi appealed through the House to all state governments to ensure strict monitoring and swift action against such elements.
Responding to the prime minister's statement, Ramesh said he also continued his "bluster on India&rsquo;s economic growth record". A few days ago, he said, the PM's own former Chief Economic Advisor went on record warning that India&rsquo;s economic growth in Modi&rsquo;s tenure was significantly overestimated.
"The PM seems to believe that if he doesn&rsquo;t engage with this very credible and disturbing report, he can wish it away," he said.
"Finally, the PM&rsquo;s invocation of the COVID-19 pandemic is concerning. His government&rsquo;s response was uniquely catastrophic. The nation cannot forget the deeply depressing scenes which became all too normal then - lakhs of migrants walking barefoot to their homes, thousands dying from oxygen shortages, and millions left unemployed. We can only hope there is more preparedness this time," the Congress leader said in his post.

Mallikarjun Kharge criticised the government over the ongoing LPG crisis in Rajya Sabha, accusing it of failing to plan ahead. Union Minister J P Nadda hit back, alleging the Congress was trying to create panic and politicise the issue.

Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge on Monday held the government responsible for the current LPG crisis by not taking preemptive measures, evoking a sharp counter from Union Minister J P Nadda, who accused the Congress of trying to create anarchy in the country and indulging in politics instead.
Raising the matter during the Zero Hour in the House, Kharge accused the government of not doing advance planning and making alternative arrangements for LPG imports as the government "knew" that the West Asia crisis could impact critical maritime routes and energy supplies.
Rebutting him strongly, Nadda, who is also Leader of the House, accused opposition parties, especially Congress, of not standing with the people but of instigating them.
"The LPG crisis has caused widespread panic across the entire nation. Its impact is severely affecting the poor and vulnerable sections, the middle class, ordinary households, restaurants, hostels, and commercial users," Kharge said.
India imports nearly 60 per cent of its total LPG requirements. Of this, 90 per cent of imports pass through the Strait of Hormuz. From this perspective, Kharge said the current situation has become a matter of serious concern for both domestic availability and price stability.
He said the effects of the LPG crisis are being felt in nearly every part of the country, and people in households are distressed.
Kharge sought to highlight that small roadside eateries, restaurants, hostels &mdash; all are impacted. From community kitchens to Ram Rasoi, everything has shut down. Not just homes &mdash; MSMEs and other commercial users are facing severe difficulties in obtaining LPG cylinders.
"It is concerning that many establishments have limited or completely halted their operations. Some are purchasing at exorbitant rates, over Rs 5,000 per cylinder," the senior Congress leader claimed.
Kharge further said that the Union Petroleum Minister had claimed in the Lok Sabha that there is no shortage of LPG and called for caution against rumours.
"But the ground reality proves the government's claims wrong," he added.
He said that when the government was issuing advisories to Indian citizens in Iran that the situation could worsen, it should have clearly stated that this could also impact critical maritime routes and energy supplies, and should have taken steps in advance.
"Government very well knew that a crisis was impending at the Strait of Hormuz. The situation would not have been that bad had advance planning and alternative arrangements for LPG imports done in advance," Kharge said.
He said the waiting period for cylinder bookings in the country has also been extended, now 25 days in cities and 45 days in villages/remote areas.
This has triggered panic booking and increased the likelihood of hoarding, he said.
The Congress leader questioned why the government did not take stringent measures if it knew that the LPG crisis in the country would escalate.
"Why didn't it take the people and opposition in confidence? This crisis exposes the government's dismal management and flawed foreign policy," he said, and demanded a discussion on the issue.
While Kharge was making his remarks, Chairman C P Radhakrishnan repeatedly asked him to conclude as only three minutes are allowed to a speaker during the Zero Hour. However, the Chair allowed him extra time.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri had given a detailed response on the issue in the Lok Sabha, but Congress members did not hear him out.
The Minister said Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi was given the floor in the Lower House to speak on the issue, but he spoke on other things instead.
Nadda lamented that the Opposition, especially the Congress, is not hesitating to indulge in politics even during times of crisis.
He said the current West Asia conflict is not due to India and has no contribution.
The senior BJP leader said a Congress leader has also been caught hoarding LPG cylinders.
"They are resorting to hoarding of cylinders. They are instigating people. They are inciting the peaceful people of the country, and this is very unfortunate that even in such a situation, they are indulging in politics.
"Instead of standing with the country, they are trying to create anarchy...This is condemnable," Nadda added.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday exuded confidence that the BJP will win the upcoming assembly polls in West Bengal, and &ldquo;drive out every single infiltrator&rdquo; from the state after coming to power.
Shah made the remark while addressing a function of the Sashastra Seema Bal in Araria district of Bihar, which falls in the Seemanchal region bordering West Bengal.
&ldquo;Elections are around the corner in West Bengal. I am confident that the BJP is going to win. Upon formation of the new government, we shall drive out every single infiltrator,&rdquo; he asserted.
&ldquo;The process of flushing out infiltrators will begin in Bihar, especially in the Seemanchal region. We had won the assembly polls here last year on this very issue. And, we got the mandate even though opponents were criticising our agenda,&rdquo; the home minister said.
Shah said infiltration is a threat to national security, and infiltrators also threaten the demographic balance of an area, feed on ration, and avail other benefits meant for common people.
&ldquo;Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Assam are the most vulnerable to such demographic disturbance. The Narendra Modi government is committed to maintain demographic balance,&rdquo; Shah said.
He began his speech by paying rich tributes to legendary freedom fighter and Hindutva icon Vinayak Damodar Savarkar on his death anniversary.

Former Assam Congress president Bhupen Borah, set to join the BJP, alleged that Gaurav Gogoi is only the &ldquo;face&rdquo; of the party in the state and claimed Dhubri MP Rakibul Hussain is its &ldquo;sole base,&rdquo; citing internal disagreements within the Congress.

Former Assam Congress president Bhupen Borah, who is set to join the BJP, on Wednesday claimed that the opposition party's state unit is no longer under the control of Gaurav Gogoi, and Dhubri MP Rakibul Hussain is its "sole base".
In an interview to PTI-Video, Borah claimed Gogoi, the state Congress president, is just "the mere face of the party now".
"Rakibul Hussain, who had won the Dhubri seat by over 10 lakh votes, is the sole base of the party," he claimed.
Borah said that after he sent his resignation letter to the Congress high command on Monday, Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi called him and spoke at length about the "relationship we shared since 2007".
"He mentioned how we helped the party grow, and he helped me over the years, which is true, but he did not say a word about my resignation letter," he claimed.
Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced that Borah would be joining the BJP on February 22, after meeting him at his residence on Tuesday evening.
Borah, who was the chairman of 'Assam Sanmilita Mancha' -- a front of 16 opposition parties, said that before the bypolls to the five assembly constituencies in 2024, it was decided that a CPI(ML) candidate would contest the Behali seat as the outfit had secured 40,000 votes in the previous election.
"I agreed to it, but my proposal was not considered by the AICC, and two or three leaders from the state unit also started discussing other names. Finally, a person was named as the Congress candidate who was, till then, not even a member of the party," he said.
"The leaders of the other parties in alliance had then told me that if you cannot leave even one seat out of the five, then what is there left to discuss for the 126 seats in the next elections. I then resigned as the head of the coalition on moral grounds, and the Congress candidate lost badly in the election," he added.
Borah said he had raised the matter at the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting, but did not get any reply.
He said that at the same time, he faced personal humiliation, "Now, there is no time to talk about this".
Borah claimed that he had written to Gogoi a month ago, saying that he would address a press conference against him as "I cannot tolerate humiliations anymore".
"I had shared the letter with senior leaders, including the state in charge, but there was no response. I realised there is no need for me at the party and I resigned," he added.
Borah said Congress state in-charge Jitendra Singh chaired a meeting with six leaders of the party on February 9, and he was given the responsibility of taking forward the talks for an opposition alliance before the assembly polls.
"I accepted it as it was the party's decision, and I also felt that an alliance was necessary as Congress could not tackle the BJP alone. I saw a need to unite the anti-BJP votes, which will ensure a good fight in the assembly polls," he said.
He added that the next day he got a call from Gogoi, who said that "you are not alone, but Rakibul Hussin will be there with you to take the alliance talks forward".
"I told him that this was not the decision taken at the meeting. However, as an MP, he can be there, but Gaurav insisted that he should be involved actively in it. In the meantime, Nagaon Congress MP Pradyut Bordoloi called me and said that if Rakibul is there, he will not tolerate it," Borah claimed.
"Amid this, Gaurav publicly said that I was spreading misinformation that I was given the responsibility to lead the alliance talks. I asked him why he was saying so, and I had already spoken to leaders of other parties, including Akhil Gogoi, who told the media about it," he asked.
Borah said this was a public humiliation.
"I gave 32 years to Congress. I was in Dibrugarh University when the then CM Hiteswar Saikia came and invited me to join the Congress, just like the present CM came yesterday to my residence and asked me to join the BJP," he said.
Recounting his days in the Congress, Borah said he was also left with a bleeding nose during Gandhi's 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' near Guwahati.

Addressing a press conference in Guwahati, Gogoi said former state Congress chief Bhupen Kumar Borah, who is likely to switch over to the BJP on February 22, will also meet the same fate.
"Those who joined the BJP have become insignificant. We can see the example of Sarbananda Sonowal and many more. The AGP party (Sonowal's previous party) is on the verge of extinction. I don't think I need to talk specifically about Bhupen Borah's joining the BJP," he said.
Gogoi said that the fight in the upcoming assembly elections will be between the "real Congress and old Congress".
"The BJP is full of old Congress leaders who were most corrupt during the 15-year rule of the Congress in the state," he added.
Speaking about Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma terming Borah as the "last Hindu leader" in the Congress, Gogoi alleged that the BJP leader is "Assam's Jinnah" and he should stop giving "Hindu certificates" to the politicians.
"The Congress is like an ocean; we are all just water drops in it. The Congress was there long before our fathers and forefathers existed. Bhupen Borah's leaving will not impact our party's prospects in the assembly polls," he stressed.
