Apple Vision Pro travel mode for enhanced airplane experience revealed

Apple's upcoming flagship headset, the Apple Vision Pro, is rumored to offer specialized settings tailored for air travel. In an exploration of the initial beta version of visionOS, MacRumors has uncovered intriguing details suggesting that the device's operating system will introduce a Travel Mode option intended for use during flights.

Text strings discovered by MacRumors indicate that users will have the ability to activate this feature. One particular message advises, "If you're on an airplane, you'll need to keep Travel Mode on to continue using your ‌Apple Vision Pro‌." Additionally, wearers are prompted to "remain stationary in Travel Mode," likely to prevent any inadvertent movements that could disturb nearby passengers.

Furthermore, specific lines of text within visionOS suggest that "some awareness features will be disabled," as reported by MacRumors. This implies that while in Travel Mode, the device may deactivate certain sensors responsible for spatial awareness. Additionally, the usage of the highly anticipated "digital persona" feature, unveiled by Apple at its recent Worldwide Developers Conference, which enables the creation and utilization of a hyperrealistic facial avatar during FaceTime interactions with the Vision Pro, may be restricted during Travel Mode.

As the release of the Apple Vision Pro draws near, tech enthusiasts and travelers alike eagerly await further information regarding this innovative device and its capabilities.
