Report: Apple Vision Pro successor and affordable model on the horizon

Apple's first mixed reality headset, the Apple Vision Pro, was revealed last week at the Worldwide Developers Conference.

Even before its availability to customers, reports suggest the tech giant is already working on an advanced successor.

This new version, expected to be more affordable, could debut a year after the Vision Pro's first sale, equipped with a faster processor for enhanced performance.

Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, in his Power On newsletter, reported that Apple's next-generation spatial computer will retain augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) capabilities similar to the new mixed reality headset.

Further, he confirms earlier reports of an affordable model, possibly named Apple Vision One or simply Apple Vision, slated for a late 2025 launch.

Priced at $3,499, the Vision Pro is set to be Apple's most expensive wearable yet when it goes on sale in the US next year.

While Gurman hasn't disclosed a specific price, he indicates that the cost of the budget-friendly version will be significantly lower than the first-gen headset.
