WhatsApp to give admins more control over group chats

With this new feature, admins of WhatsApp groups will be able to better control what people say in group chats.

WhatsApp to give admins more control over group chats

After introducing the ability to recover deleted messages in its most recent beta update for iOS, WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta, is now unveiling a feature that allows group admins to remove any message within the group.

According to WABetaInfo, the feature has only been released to a select group of beta testers, therefore it will take some time to reach all other accounts.

"If you are the administrator of a group and are unable to remove messages submitted by other members, please wait for a future update as additional activations will follow in the coming weeks," the report stated. Additionally, users will soon be able to check status updates within the chat list.

According to the report, it is a crucial feature for group administrators because they can now better control WhatsApp groups.

In addition, when a message is deleted for everyone in the group, all other group members can see who deleted the message.

iOS users may now view Status updates directly from WhatsApp's conversation list as this feature was just rolled out by the platform.

The beta version 22.18.0.70 introduces the capacity to view Status updates in the conversation list. It has been released to select beta testers, but it is not yet available to the general public.
