Yogurt is the only superfood you need this summer: we'll tell you why

Summer is officially here and a large part of it includes surviving the sweltering heat, staying hydrated and eating the right things. An important ingredient that you must incorporate into your diet is Yogurt. It has more benefits than you might know and in case you need some more reasons to have it regularly, here are some of those.

Health benefits of eating curd in summers -

1. Keeps you hydrated

Curd is the lightest and most effective fuel you can rely on during the summer months. It keeps you hydrated and boosts your energy levels at the same time. Add a little salt or sugar to it and your body will thank you for the yummy treat, and you will feel more balanced and energised.

2. Immunity and digestion booster

Dahi also helps in boosting immunity and is good for every kind of gut issue, from indigestion to bloating. It has probiotics or good bacteria that helps in improving the immune system. Having it daily can help the body fight against viruses and infections.

3. Builds stronger bones

The presence of calcium in curd helps in keeping your bones healthy. Along with calcium, it also has phosphorus which contributes to bone growth. Needless to say, curd helps in fighting against arthritis and osteoporosis.

4. Skin Healer

Summer is a tiring time for the skin as eruptions happen all the time. Not only does applying curd help, but consuming it also gives a nice glow to the skin and keeps it healthy. The presence of minerals like zinc, vitamin E and phosphorous contribute to it.

Consuming dahi or curd every day will do you a world of good. So do you even need any more reasons to have this yummy superfood regularly?
