Stay hydrated with these fruit juices to beat the summer heat

Apr 20, 2021 17:25 IST | By Editorji News Desk

Thanks to the unwavering heat in summers, our body gets dehydrated very easily in the hotter months. This is why it's essential to drink enough fluids during this difficult time. While nothing quite beats the thirst like good old water, you can also drink some fruit juices if you want more energy while sipping on something yummy.

Here are some fruits that you can juice and relish this summer!

SWEET LEMONADE

Drinking lemon water in summer is an unbeatable health fix. Lemons are rich in vitamin C and lemonade is a delicious way to keep your breath fresh. It is also good for digestion and helps beat fatigue.

WATERMELON JUICE

If you’ve been drinking lots of water but feel like plain water is just not enough to quench your thirst, this is the drink for you. Gorge on hydrating watermelons to keep your body cool. Whether eaten fresh or made into a juice, watermelons will boost your energy levels and help de-stress your body from the summer heat.

POMEGRANATE JUICE

Notorious for being one of the hardest fruit to peel, pomegranates are rich in vitamin A, C and E. Pomegranates also contain folic acid, antioxidants and antiviral properties making them a great fruit to eat and juice in this weather. The fact that they have such great health benefits and taste yum makes them a firm favourite for many!

SUGARCANE JUICE

Nothing says summer quite like a refreshing glass of ganne ka juice. Sugarcane is super sweet but also a great source of sodium, potassium, calcium and magnesium. Together, these nutrients in a glass of sugarcane juice ensure that you never feel lethargic from the heat.

COCONUT WATER

Another summer staple that we all know and love, the benefits of coconut water are well known. Vitamin C, potassium, magnesium and fibre are all found aplenty in coconut water. Coconut water is so nutritious that some even consume it as an energy drink before or after workouts.

Juices are a great way to stay hydrated in the summer but just make sure that you are drinking them fresh and without any added sugars!
