In a significant step towards improving governance and making public services more accessible, Punjab Governance Reforms Minister Aman Arora announced the expansion of the 'Bhagwant Mann Sarkar, Tuhade Dwaar' scheme.

The initiative, initially launched on December 10, 2023, with 43 services, has now been expanded to include 406 citizen-centric services, ensuring that people can access government services at their doorstep without the hassle of long queues or bureaucratic delays.

The expanded scheme now offers a wide range of services, including driving licenses, police verification, passport applications, utility connections, NOCs from district authorities, and tenant verification, among others.

After flagging off Sewa Sahayaks at MGSIPA, Minister Arora emphasized that this initiative reflects the Punjab government’s commitment to enhancing service delivery and reducing paperwork.

The inclusion of 363 additional services ensures that essential government services are easily accessible to citizens across 29 major government departments.

Highlighting the overwhelming public response, Aman Arora shared that over 92,000 applications have been processed under the scheme, with all requests addressed in a timely manner.

He stressed that this initiative has significantly eased the burden on citizens by eliminating bureaucratic hurdles, saving time, and simplifying government procedures.

Over the past two years, the Punjab government has digitized records and eliminated the need for physical certificates, with more than 77 lakh government-approved certificates now being delivered digitally.

Citizens receive these documents directly on their mobile phones, making the process more convenient and cost-effective. Furthermore, Patwaris, Sarpanches, Nambardars, and Municipal Corporation officials have been integrated into the online system, with over 9 lakh applications processed digitally.

Public feedback has played a crucial role in improving the quality of services, with more than 12.95 lakh citizens rating their experience, giving an average score of 4.1 out of 5.

Encouraging citizens to take full advantage of these expanded services, Aman Arora stated, "These reforms are not just about technology; they are about building a more responsive and accountable government. We are committed to serving the people of Punjab and ensuring that every citizen feels valued and empowered."

Director of Governance Reforms, Girish Dayalan, also reaffirmed the department’s dedication to implementing governance reforms aimed at enhancing transparency, accountability, and efficiency in public service delivery.
