Akshay Kumar has begun shooting for the highly anticipated third installment of 'Welcome,' titled 'Welcome To The Jungle.' The upcoming movie promises to be a laughter riot like its predecessors. As the ‘Welcome’ saga turned 16 years old, Akshay Kumar penned a heartfelt note celebrating the film and shared a sneak peek of the third film with Sanjay Dutt.

Taking to social media, Akshay wrote, ‘What a lovely coincidence that we celebrate 16 years of #Welcome today while I am shooting for the franchise’s third part #Welcome To The Jungle. And it’s wonderful to welcome Sanju Baba in this one. What do you think? @duttsanjay #Welcome3’

Apart from Akshay Kumar and Sanjay Dutt, ‘Welcome To The Jungle’ will also star Paresh Rawal, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Arshad Warsi, Suniel Shetty, Johnny Lever, Shreyas Talpade, and Tusshar Kapoor.

Earlier this year, when the teaser announcement for the film was released, it garnered significant attention.

The actors were seen singing a peppy revised version of the title song of ‘Welcome,’ with a twist. Dressed in camo uniforms, the cast danced to the song while Mika Singh and Daler Mehndi chimed in with 'Tunak Tunak Tun.'

Sharing the promo, Akshay Kumar wrote in the caption, ‘Khud ko aur aap sab ko ek birthday gift diya hai aaj. If you like it and say thanks, I’d say Welcome(3) #WelcomeToTheJungle In cinemas, Christmas – 20th December, 2024. #Welcome3.’

Among the three films under Firoz Nadiadwala’s banner, ‘Welcome’ might be the first to take off as the script has been ready for a while.

The filmmaker plans to bring a new twist to the narrative of this comic caper by casting Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi as the notorious gangsters – Majnu and Uday. The duo, known for their chemistry as Munna and Circuit, are set to explore new dimensions in this new franchise.

Arshad Warsi confirmed his role in ‘Welcome 3,’ expressing that the scale of the film is massive, including the cost and the climax.

The film is slated to release during Christmas on December 25, 2024.
