<p>The upcoming edition marks the fourth edition of the show and is set to feature Kapil embracing different characters, from GenZ Baba and Tau ji to Raja, and Mantri ji, designed for every age group, according to the makers.</p>

<p>The film's impressive performance has been supported by Citara, a multiplex chain operating small-format theatres with seating capacities of 100&ndash;150 across Jammu &amp; Kashmir.&nbsp;</p>
<p>In towns such as Shopian and Pulwama, where conventional multiplexes are absent, these theatres have provided local audiences the chance to enjoy films on the big screen.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Dhurandhar has maintained high occupancy levels in these locations, demonstrating the viability of smaller cinema formats when pricing and scale are adapted to local market realities.</p>
<p>Trade observers noted that these compact theatres are addressing a long-standing structural gap in exhibition rather than competing with large multiplex chains. India remains significantly underscreened outside its metro cities. While multiplex expansion has increased screen growth over the past decade, larger capacities and premium pricing have often impacted occupancy levels in non-metro markets. Consequently, smaller theatres with controlled seating and lower operating costs are increasingly being seen as a sustainable model for Tier 2 and Tier 3 towns.</p>
<p>Commenting on the audience response, Rahul Nehra, Managing Director of Citara Plex, said, "Our focus has been on building right-sized cinemas for smaller markets. The response to Dhurandhar in towns like Shopian and Pulwama reinforces our belief that audiences will come to theatres when the experience is affordable, accessible and close to home."</p>

<p>Featuring Ranveer Singh in the lead role, the film follows covert intelligence operations set against a backdrop of geopolitical events. Roshan shared a detailed note on Wednesday, calling "Dhurandhar" an example of immersive storytelling.</p>
<p>&ldquo;I love cinema, I love people who climb into a vortex and let the story take control, spin them, shake them until what they want to say is purged out of them onto that screen. 'Dhurandhar' is an example of that. Loved the storytelling. It&rsquo;s cinema,&rdquo; he wrote on his Instagram Stories.</p>

<p>"Dhurandhar", which also features Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi, has performed strongly at the box office since its release on December 5.</p>

<p>"Saiyaara", starring newcomers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, has topped IMDb&rsquo;s list as the most popular Indian film of 2025, while Aryan Khan&rsquo;s directorial debut "The Ba****ds of Bollywood" led the rankings among web series, the platform announced on Wednesday.</p>
<p>IMDb, one of the most popular online resources for information related to films, television series and artists, released its list of most popular Indian movies and series. The rankings are based on page views from IMDb&rsquo;s more than 250 million monthly global visitors, making them a reflection of audience interest and worldwide engagement, the company said in a statement.</p>
<p>At the top of the IMDb Top 10 Most Popular Indian Movies of 2025 is Saiyaara, produced by YRF and directed by Mohit Suri. The film has become a global talking point for its emotional storytelling and chartbuster music.</p>
<p>Akshaye Widhani, CEO of Yash Raj Films, said the recognition is a &ldquo;moment of immense pride&rdquo;.</p>
<p>&ldquo;'Saiyaara' has connected with audiences across India and the world, cutting across geography, age, and culture. We are hugely grateful that it has become one of the most iconic films for YRF and for the industry... Mohit Suri brought a clear vision and deep emotion to the film, while Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda delivered confident, heartfelt debut performances," Widhani said.</p>
<p>Other films on the list include the animated blockbuster "Mahavatar Narsimha" (No. 2), Vicky Kaushal's "Chhaava" (No. 3), Rishab Shetty&rsquo;s "Kantara: A Legend &ndash; Chapter 1" (No. 4), and Rajinikanth&rsquo;s "Coolie" (No. 5). The list features five Hindi titles, two Tamil films, and one each from Kannada and Malayalam cinema.</p>
<p>At the sixth spot was the Tamil coming-of-age comedy "Dragon", followed by Aamir Khan&rsquo;s "Sitaare Zameen Par" and Shahid Kapoor&rsquo;s "Deva" in the seventh and eighth positions. Ajay Devgn&rsquo;s "Raid" 2 and Malayalam title "Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra" rounded off the list.</p>

<p>Psychological thrillers "Mandala Murders" and "Khauf" ranked fifth and sixth, respectively, ahead of "Special Ops Season 2" and "Khakee: The Bengal Chapter", with the newest seasons of "The Family Man" and "Criminal Justice" rounding off the top 10.</p>
<p>The series list is dominated by crime thrillers, with seven of the ten titles belonging to the genre. It also features a strong presence from streaming platforms: four titles each from Netflix and Prime Video, and two from JioHotstar.</p>
<p>Yaminie Patodia, head of IMDb India, said this year&rsquo;s selections highlight a period of exceptional creativity across languages and formats.</p>

<p>Dharmendra was admitted to the hospital on November 10 and was reported to be in the critical condition.</p>
<p>On November 11, several media houses reported his death, leading to a sharp rebuke from Malini.</p>
<p>"What is happening is unforgivable! How can responsible channels spread false news about a person who is responding to treatment and is recovering? This is being extremely disrespectful and irresponsible. Please give due respect to the family and its need for privacy," she had posted on X.</p>
<p>A day later, he was discharged and taken to his Juhu home, where he breathed his last. The actor was cremated at the Pawan Hans crematorium in Vile Parle, Mumbai.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The Indian Motion Picture Producers&rsquo; Association (IMPPA) has appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to intervene on the "unilateral" ban on Hindi film "Dhurandhar" in the United Arab Emirates and several other Middle Eastern countries, terming the move a suppression of freedom of expression.</p>
<p>In a letter addressed to the prime minister, the IMPPA said the film has been banned in the UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman and Saudi Arabia despite receiving certification from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).</p>
<p>"We earnestly appeal to your kind self to intervene regarding the unilateral and uncalled for ban imposed on the film &lsquo;Dhurandhar&rsquo; by the UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman and Saudi Arabia. Our member producer has made this film and has released the same after getting certification by the Central Board of Film Certification and the ban imposed by the above countries is a suppression of the freedom of expression of our member as the film has emerged as one of the biggest hits in Indian cinema," the letter read.</p>
<p>The letter follows reports last month stating that &ldquo;Dhurandhar&rdquo; has been banned in the Gulf.</p>
<p>Written and directed by Aditya Dhar of "Uri: The Surgical Strike" fame, "Dhurandhar" is a high-octane spy thriller and features Ranveer Singh in the lead role. The film follows covert intelligence operations set against a backdrop of geopolitical and terror events like Kandahar plane hijack, 2001 Parliament Attack and 26/11 Mumbai attacks.</p>
<p>The film, which has led to polarising reactions from many critics and people in India, is mostly set in Lyari town of Karachi, an area known for its history of gang wars and violent turf battles.</p>
<p>The IMPPA, which described itself as the country&rsquo;s largest and oldest producers&rsquo; association, said India shares friendly relations and regular business engagement with the countries concerned across multiple sectors.</p>
<p>"We therefore humbly request that the Government of India take up this matter with the concerned authorities in these countries and make efforts to ensure that freedom of expression is respected and the ban is revoked at the earliest. We shall be highly obliged to you if you could kindly do the needful at the earliest as it is a matter of great importance to the country," the association said.</p>
<p>The letter has also been sent to Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar.</p>
<p>Since its release on December 5, "Dhurandhar" has emerged as the highest-earning Hindi film ever with a net India collection of over Rs 831 crore. Globally, the movie has grossed over Rs 1,220 crore. <p>Filmmaker Aditya Dhar's "Dhurandhar" has become the highest-earning Hindi film ever with a nett India collection of over Rs 831 crore, the makers said on Wednesday.</p>
<p>With its Day 33 earnings on Tuesday standing at Rs 5.70 crore nett, the Ranveer Singh-starrer's total India nett collection climbed to Rs 831.40 crore, placing it at the No. 1 spot among all Hindi releases to date.</p>
<p>"History has been rewritten. With Tuesday&rsquo;s collections, 'Dhurandhar' has officially risen to become the highest-earning Hindi film of all time, a towering achievement that has redefined Indian box office success," the makers said in a statement.</p>
<p>The top position was earlier occupied by the Hindi version of Allu Arjun's 2023 blockbuster "Pushpa 2: The Rule". The Telugu movie had earned Rs 830 crore in Hindi.</p>
<p>The other highest-earning Hindi titles are Shah Rukh Khan's "Jawan" and horror comedy "Stree 2", which had earned Rs 643 crore and 627 crore respectively.</p>
<p>The India box office break-up shows a robust run across weeks, with Rs 218 crore in its opening week, followed by Rs 261.50 crore in week two, Rs 189.30 crore in week three and Rs 115.70 crore in week four.</p>
<p>The film added Rs 35.80 crore over its fifth weekend before continuing its steady run during the weekdays.</p>

<p>Aditya Dhar Films decided to make the changes on their own and there was no directive from the Information and Broadcasting ministry, officials said.</p>
<p>The filmmakers, they said, approached the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) with the changes -- which include muting the dialogue with words 'Baloch' and 'intelligence' -- found to be offensive to certain communities.</p>
<p>The changes were made under Rule 31 of the Cinematograph Act, which allows producers to edit an already certified movie provided it does not change the larger meaning of the scene.</p>
<p>The film, which has earned over Rs 1,000 crore at the global box office, released on December 5 and has been creating waves -- and some controversy. Set in Pakistan's Lyari town, it centres on an Indian spy, played by Ranveer, who infiltrates a local gang of criminals and arms dealers.</p>
<p>On Friday, the spy action film was declared tax free in Ladakh.</p>
<p>Making the announcement, Lt Gov Kavinder Gupta's office said in an X post that it was shot extensively in the region. "The film spotlights Ladakh&rsquo;s cinematic landscapes, signalling strong support for filmmakers and reinforcing the UT&rsquo;s push to emerge as a preferred destination for film shoots and tourism," the X post said.</p>
<p>Directed by Aditya Dhar, it also features Arjun Rampal, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt and R Madhavan. The second part of the movie will release in March this year.</p>

<p>According to the publication, Chinese experts claimed that regardless of how &ldquo;over-the-top&rdquo; a drama may be, a nation&rsquo;s sacred territory would never be affected by a film.</p>
<p>In Battle of Galwan, directed by Apoorva Lakhia, Salman Khan is seen wearing the Indian Army uniform. The film is based on the 2020 Galwan Valley clashes along the India-China border. Twenty Indian soldiers were killed during the clash on June 16, 2020, five years ago, while the Chinese side also suffered heavy casualties.</p>
<p>Following the incident, tensions between India and China escalated, with the deployment of additional army formations near the Galwan Valley along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Ladakh.&nbsp;</p>
<p>The Indian Army also undertook various activities, including surveying border areas, to prevent a &ldquo;possible&rdquo; Chinese aggression. Since then, both countries have gradually disengaged from several border points and created buffer zones in multiple areas.</p>

On the last Army Day, the Defence Minister had announced the construction of this memorial. Building such a structure at 14,500 feet is no ordinary task, but the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) completed it within a limited timeframe.&rdquo;</p>

<p>Essayed by Ajay Devgn, Vijay Salgaonkar is portrayed as a simple, middle-class man who confronts every challenge not through violence, but with determination, sharp intelligence and an unwavering devotion to his family. Over the years, the character has come to be recognised as an iconic on-screen father, known for facing adversity with emotional strength and strategic thinking.</p>
<p>According to the makers, the film is being shot across several cities and locations. The narrative will move forward within the established Drishyam timeline, while bringing new and unexpected turns to the lives of the Salgaonkar family.</p>
<p>The original cast &mdash; Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Shriya Saran and Rajat Kapoor &mdash; will return, joined by other noted actors. The makers have promised edge-of-the-seat drama as the story progresses further.</p>
<p>Presented by Star Studio18, Drishyam 3 is produced under the Panorama Studios banner. The film is directed by Abhishek Pathak and written by Abhishek Pathak, Aamil Keeyan Khan and Parveez Shaikh, with production led by Alok Jain, Ajit Andhare, Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak.</p>
<p>Drishyam 3 will release in cinemas worldwide on October 2, 2026.</p>

<p>According to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), Homebound, starring Ishaan Khatter and Vishal Jethwa, is among the 15 films now eligible for final nominations in the International Feature Film category at the 2026 Oscars. "Fifteen films will advance to the next round of voting in the International Feature Film category for the 98th Academy Awards. Films from 86 countries or regions were eligible in the category," stated the AMPAS website.</p>
<p>Homebound has been shortlisted alongside films such as Argentina's Belen, Brazil's The Secret Agent, France's It Was Just an Accident, and Germany's Sound of Falling. The film follows childhood friends Shoaib (Ishaan Khatter) and Chandan (Vishal Jethwa), whose shared dream of joining the police force shapes their lives, with Janhvi Kapoor providing emotional depth in a story about friendship, duty, and the pressures faced by young Indians.</p>
<p>Earlier in 2025, Homebound garnered recognition at several film festivals and award shows, further cementing its reputation as a significant Indian cinematic entry on the international stage.</p>
