As Air India officially rejoined the Tata Group on Thursday, there was a little public display of affection from the two parties on Twitter.
Tata Group tweeted to welcome Air India back to their fold while adding that it's arrival was much awaited.  
The airlines too posted a message on social media saying that a brand new chapter is unfolding for Air India as it joins Tata Group and they together embark on a journey of excellence. 
The message was accompanied by a picture of a seat belt with one red strap to represent Air India and a blue strap to represent Tata with the text 'We Click'. 
The Indian government handed over Air India to the Tata Group on Thursday afternoon, after approximately 69 years when it was taken from the conglomerate.
After a competitive bidding process, the government had on October 8 last year sold Air India to Talace Private Limited -- a subsidiary of the Tata Group's holding company -- for Rs 18,000 crore.

Unvaccinated pregnant women are more likely to experience severe pregnancy complications according to a new study.

According to a new study published in the Nature Medicine Journal, unvaccinated pregnant women are more likely to experience severe Covid-19 complications for themselves and their infants.

For the study, the team analysed data of more than 87,000 women who were pregnant between the start of vaccination uptake in December 2020 and October 2021. Vaccination uptake during the study period was lower in pregnant women, compared with women aged 18 to 44 in the general population.
The findings showed that preterm births, stillbirths and newborn deaths are more common among women who are not vaccinated.
Vaccination is the safest and most effective way for pregnant women to protect themselves and their babies from severe Covid-19 disease, study authors concluded.

India's drug regulator has granted regular market approval for Covid-19 vaccines Covishield and Covaxin for use in the adult population subject to certain conditions, Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said on Thursday.
The two vaccines so far had restricted emergency use authorisation. 
"The regulator has upgraded the permission for Covaxin and Covishield from restricted use in emergency situations to normal new drug permission in the adult population with certain conditions," Mandaviya said.
According to news agency PTI, Covaxin and Covishield will soon be available at hospitals and clinics for people to buy. 
Gradually, the vaccine will be available in the market at a price lower than at what it was being sold earlier at private hospitals, the report added. 
The health minister also clarified that govt's free vaccination drive will continue even after the vaccines are made available in the regular market.

Following this, Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra has sought a report from the Bhopal Police Commissioner on the entire matter.&nbsp;
Mishra said that the investigation will be carried out to understand on what basis Shweta Tiwari gave such a statement and what was her intention behind it?.
The home minister also mentioned that after a report is submitted by the police, action will be taken against her.&nbsp;

At a Republic Day celebration held at an RBI branch office in Chennai on Wednesday, a few officials allegedly remained seated while the Tamil anthem was being sung.
A video of the purported incident also went viral in which onlookers could be seen questioning the officials for not rising while the anthem was being sung. The officials had reportedly replied that the Madras High Court had said there was no need to do so.
A day after the incident, a Madras High Court advocate has filed a complaint against the officials for “disrespecting the anthem” on Thursday.
According to advocate G Rajesh, who filed an online complaint to the Greater Chennai Police, the officials misinterpreted the judgment of the High Court and the order issued by the state government.

A video of the purported incident also went viral in which onlookers could be seen questioning the officials for not rising while the anthem was being sung. The officials had reportedly replied that the Madras High Court had said there was no need to do so.
A day after the incident, a Madras High Court advocate has filed a complaint against the officials for what he claimed was&nbsp;&ldquo;disrespecting the anthem&rdquo; on Thursday.
