The final season picks up where the second season left off. Netflix confirmed that the new episodes will follow Gi-hun (played by Lee Jung-jae) as he pursues his mission to end the deadly game.&nbsp;
Meanwhile, The Front Man (played by Lee Byung-hun) prepares for his next move, and the remaining players face even more lethal consequences in each round.&nbsp;
To hype up the release, Netflix unveiled a chilling new poster for the third season, accompanied by the tagline: "Prepare for the final game."&nbsp;
The artwork teases a more brutal finale, featuring sinister silhouettes of Young-hee and her companion Cheol-su, characters first introduced in the post-credit scene of season two.
Hwang Dong-hyuk, the series creator, returns as both the writer and director for the final season. While the show was originally planned as a three-season story, Hwang hasn&rsquo;t ruled out the possibility of a spinoff.&nbsp;
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter during the launch of season two, he said, "When we were doing season one, I was saying there was never going to be another season. And so if the time comes, and it just so happens that I'm able to come up with a character or a different story, then maybe there might be a comeback. But I'm thinking more along the lines of a spinoff."

He dives back into the mysterious survival game, facing another deadly challenge alongside new participants vying for the staggering prize of 45.6 billion won.
Creator Hwang Dong-hyuk previously told Deadline that the new season will depict Gi-hun on a quest for revenge, returning to the game as a transformed, more serious character.
Squid Game became Netflix&rsquo;s most popular series of all time, racking up a record 1.65 billion views in the first 28 days after its 2021 premiere.

RaemongRaein's CEO, Kim Dong Rae has accused Lee's company, Artist United, and Park In-gyu, of misleading him with false promises.

Speaking to Korea Times, Kim Dong Rae revealed Lee Jung Jae and Park In Gyu assured Kim that the 'Squid Game' actor's industry connections would bring big investments and management changes to RaemongRaein. However, he alleged that they wanted to take over the company, replacing Kim as CEO and overtaking the entire board. The conflict intensified after Dong Rae found out about Artist United&rsquo;s plan to buy another firm instead of investing in his company.&nbsp;&nbsp;
According to Korea Times, Kim, in a statement, said, &ldquo;Contrary to our initial discussions before the investment, I learned that Artist United used Raemongraein&rsquo;s funds to acquire a suspended entertainment company. This move by (Lee and Artist United), just three months after becoming the largest shareholder, appears to be an attempt to use Raemongraein&rsquo;s cash assets as a shell to acquire another company.&rdquo;
&ldquo;I partnered with Artist United believing that Raemongraein could achieve global expansion through Lee Jung-jae&rsquo;s network and capital. However, Lee has never visited the company or presented any vision for its management. We cannot let Raemongraein become a victim of forces attempting to seize management rights through deceptive methods. I call on Lee Jung-Jae and the other investors to stop these unjust attempts and engage in sincere and reasonable discussions for the growth and development of Raemongraein,&rdquo; Kim Dong-rae added.

Following Kim Dong Rae's complaint against him at the Seoul Gangnam Police Station for violating the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Economic Crimes (Fraud), Jae's team told the portal that Kim had not followed the investors' demand. The lawyer also added that Raemongraein CEO has also blocked calls for a special meeting, which would have allowed investors to participate in the company's management decisions.&nbsp;

In December 2021, a woman filed a complaint against the senior actor. Today, March 15, the court convicted the actor for the crimes, according to a report by BBC.
According to AFP, the judge said the victim's records of the assault and her claims were "consistent ... and appear to be statements that cannot be made without actually experiencing them".
For the uninitiated, a woman alleged that she was hugged and kissed on her cheek against her will. After a complaint was filed against him in 2021, Oh denied the charges, but as re-investigation commenced, all public advertisements in his name were taken down.&nbsp;

The Television Academy has announced a complete list of this year's 74th Emmy Awards. Succession, Severance, Squid Game, Stranger Things, Barry, Euphoria, Ted Lasso are among the frontrunners. 
Adam  Scott, Reese Witherspoon, Zendaya, Jason Bateman have scored nominations in the acting category. Zendaya has made history as she has earned her second Emmy nomination for her role in 'Euphoria'. The 25-year-old has also become the youngest ever two-time acting nominee. 
South Korean drama 'Squid Game' has made history by bagging 14 nominations and becoming the first non-English language series to be nominated for the best drama at the Emmy Awards. Lee Jung-jae has been nominated for the best actor in a drama series whereas Park Hae-soo has been nominated for the best actor in a limited or anthology series.This year's Emmy Awards will be held on Monday, Sept. 12 at 8 pm.
