During the event, the Bollywood icon humorously shared how he passed down his sense of humor and talent for creating funny content to Aryan. "Maine kaha jaa beta, baap ka naam roshan kar" (I told him, go make your father proud), Shah Rukh said with a smile.
The Jawan actor revealed that he had already watched a few episodes of the series and praised the content, calling it extremely funny.&nbsp;
"I just want to thank all the colleagues I have who participated in the series. They have done so well. I watched a few episodes of the series. It's extremely funny. I love funny things. Mere jokes pe log bura maan jaate hah, takleef ho jaati hah. Maine jokes karna chod diya. Maine ye virasat apne bete ko de diya. On January 16, Saif was attacked by an intruder during the early hours of the morning at his 12th-floor home in Bandra. The actor underwent surgery and was discharged four days later, following the traumatic incident.

Jewel Thief &ndash; The Heist Begins follows Saif&rsquo;s character, a jewel thief hired by a powerful crime lord to steal a rare diamond called The African Red Sun. The heist takes a dramatic turn, resulting in chaos, betrayal, and unexpected alliances.
The film also stars Kunal Kapoor and Nikita Dutta. It marks the reunion of Saif and director Siddharth Anand after 17 years, having previously worked together on Salaam Namaste (2005) and Ta Ra Rum Pum (2007).
Saif has already finished shooting for the movie, which will be released directly on Netflix.

The Madras High Court has dismissed Netflix India's plea to reject Dhanush's lawsuit, which accuses Netflix of using unauthorized behind-the-scenes footage from his film Naanum Rowdy Dhaan in the documentary Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale.

The Madras High Court has dismissed Netflix India's application to reject a lawsuit filed by actor-producer Dhanush's production company, Wunderbar Films, regarding alleged copyright infringement related to the documentary Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale.
Justice Abdul Quddhose ruled against Netflix India&rsquo;s plea and set the hearing for Wunderbar Films' interim injunction application on February 5, 2025.
Dhanush, who produced the film Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, claimed that behind-the-scenes footage from the movie was used in Nayanthara's documentary, produced by Netflix, without proper authorization.
Although Netflix India's office is based in Mumbai, outside the jurisdiction of the Madras High Court, Dhanush had obtained leave to sue the company in the High Court.
Netflix India argued that the plaintiff only sought permission to sue the fifth defendant (Netflix India &ndash; Los Gatos) and not the other defendants, as required by the Copyright Act and Letters Patent Act. The platform also pointed out that a photo featuring Nayanthara and Vignesh Sivan from the movie set was shared on social media in 2020, but Dhanush had not objected until after the documentary's release in 2024.
Netflix further argued that the lawsuit was filed a week after the documentary&rsquo;s release, showing no urgency and failing to justify bypassing the mandatory pre-suit mediation process under Section 12A of the Commercial Courts Act.
However, Senior Advocate PS Raman, representing Dhanush, countered that all materials related to the movie set, including costumes and behind-the-scenes footage, were the intellectual property of the producer. He argued that copyright infringement occurred when this unauthorized footage was used in the documentary.
Raman noted that after the documentary&rsquo;s trailer was released, an email was sent to the defendants asking them to desist from using the footage. However, it was only after the documentary's release that the full extent of the footage usage became clear, prompting the lawsuit.
He also highlighted that Nayanthara had signed a contract stating that her appearance in the film, including costumes and hairstyles, was the copyright of the producer. Therefore, any use of such material without permission was considered a copyright breach.
The court dismissed Netflix India's plea, allowing the case to proceed. The next hearing is set for February 5, 2025, where the court will consider Wunderbar Films' request for an interim injunction.
Earlier, Nayanthara shared an open letter on Instagram criticizing Dhanush for demanding Rs 10 crore in compensation for the use of a few seconds of footage, calling it an all-time low.

We even have recent observations from an honourable high court on the need to regulate content with vulgar language on social media and OTT. While the Big Bang Theory episode may be one such issue, there are plenty of other shows where the content needs to be regulated. But I hope this incident has highlighted the need for content moderation on streaming platforms when foul language crosses a particular line. In our society, even today, swear words are not spoken in the presence of family, women, children, etc., then why is OTT an exception?&rsquo; he added.

The Covid-19 pandemic was a game-changer for the &nbsp;OTT platforms, which saw viewership skyrocketing.&nbsp; However, as the Covid situation abated, paid subscriptions for OTT platforms has plateaued.&nbsp;
According to reports by Livemint, besides penetration of OTTs among the urban elite has reached a saturation point and the platforms are yet to devise a strategy to woo the lower-end of the target audience in a significant way.&nbsp;
The churn has also increased with consumers frequently activating and deactivating subscriptions. At the peak of the covid pandemic, platforms had seen over 100% rise in subscription numbers. With most subscribers opting for annual payment plans, month-on-month growth has slowed, said Vibhu Agarwal, founder of OTT app Atrangii. Most of the OTT players have been able to gain initial traction from India&rsquo;s largest cities, where the per capita income is much higher than that in smaller cities or rural areas. Therefore, substantially increasing the paid user base could prove to be a challenge in India.&nbsp;

A subscription option subsidized by ads will debut in November in a dozen countries like Australia, Brazil, Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Mexico, Spain and the United States as the streaming service strives to jumpstart growth, Netflix said.&nbsp;
According to reports, Basic with Ads subscriptions will be priced at $6.99 in the United States, three dollars less than a basic option without ads.&nbsp;
Video ads will be from 15 seconds to 30 seconds long.&nbsp;

The story follows Siddharth (Harsh Varrdhan&nbsp;Kapoor), an antique dealer, who is on his journey through a remote village in Rajasthan that has recently been rocked by a series of violent killings. Just as when the local cop Surekha Singh (Anil Kapoor) investigates the murders, he suspects Siddharth to be the culprit. &nbsp;
Speaking of 'Thar', Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor (who is also producing the film), stated that they are very excited to be able to show the film to audiences all over the world.
