The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences has deemed the documentary film ineligible as it believes that its theatrical release had not fulfilled the criteria. According to the Academy, &lsquo;Kiss the Future&rsquo; played fewer shows than required and for a film to qualify for the race it must play in the same theater three times a day for a week. &nbsp;
The film&rsquo;s producers, Ben Affleck and Matt Damon have slammed the Academy&rsquo;s decision and insisted that the film is Oscar-eligible as it was released in 13 AMC cinemas. Their appeal was however denied by the Academy. &nbsp;
&lsquo;Kiss the Future&rsquo; is directed by Nenad Cicin-Sain and premiered at the Berlin Film Festival last year. It was nominated for the Cinema for Peace Award and also won the Audience Award at the Sarajevo Film Festival. &nbsp;

In a video obtained by TMZ, Ben is shown scolding the paparazzi for flashing their lights while he was driving as it could be dangerous. &ldquo;You&rsquo;re gonna get me into an accident,&rdquo; he said to one photographer and warned him, &ldquo;Don&rsquo;t flash your lights when someone is driving down the driveway.&rdquo;&nbsp;
While the paps tried to defend himself, Ben gave them no chance and continued his scolding. &ldquo;Don&rsquo;t do that. That&rsquo;s dangerous,&rdquo; he said as other photographers continued to take flash pictures of the incident. &ldquo;Stop,&rdquo; he told the other paps, before adding, &ldquo;It&rsquo;s dangerous what you guys are doing, don&rsquo;t you understand? The actor was going back to his car, but stopped to tell the paps that their actions might put his daughter in danger. &ldquo;My daughter is coming down here. If you flash the lights on her, you&rsquo;re putting her in danger. Do you understand that?&rdquo; he said. &nbsp;
