Ben Affleck opens up about marriage with Jennifer Lopez, praises her 'bananas' fame

Ben Affleck discussed his marriage to Jennifer Lopez in a new interview, reportedly filmed before they began living separately in Brentwood. In a departure from his usual privacy, Affleck talked about the challenges of being married to the pop star, calling her fame 'Bananas.' He admitted that while Lopez's level of fame might thrill many, it isn't exactly to his liking.

‘We went somewhere with Jennifer—I can’t remember because she’s so famous and she creates this... People love her, and she really represents something important to people,’ the actor opened up about his rekindled romance with Jennifer Lopez that led to their marriage in 2022 during an appearance on Kevin Hart’s Hart to Heart talk show.

Discussing his experience of being married to someone so popular, the star enthusiastically remarked, ‘[To me,] people are like, 'Hey, I like your movie,' and then they're like 'AAAHHHH! J-LO!'’

The Hollywood A-lister, however, didn’t discuss any marriage troubles or separate housing choices, likely because the interview was conducted before rumours of their split and divorce began circulating. He did explain why he often appears 'grumpy' when facing cameras and paparazzi, contrasting with JLO, who thoroughly enjoys it.

For a while, Affleck's 'grumpy' and 'low-looking' demeanor fueled rumorus of their split or relationship troubles. However, a close friend later clarified that he simply dislikes cameras, which turned out to be true. Affleck addressed his facial expressions directly, explaining that he sometimes appears frustrated in paparazzi photos because he's ‘a little bit shy.’

‘I don’t like a lot of attention. This is why people see me and they’re like, ‘Why is this dude always mad?’ Because someone had their camera sticking in my face, and I’m like, ‘OK, here we go," the Hollywood A-lister explained.

Meanwhile, despite Affleck insisting everything is fine, Lopez was recently seen vacationing on a boat in Italy this week—without her husband.
