Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner’s middle child comes out as trans; reveals new name

Hollywood stars Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner’s second child has come out as trans. Previously known as Seraphina Rose, they also announced their new name, Fin Affleck, at a memorial service for Jennifer's father. The funeral service was livestreamed on Facebook to honour Garner’s father, William Jack Garner, who passed away last week at the age of 85.

The former couple's 15-year-old, formerly Seraphina Rose, made their first official appearance under a new name, Fin, at the memorial service. Donned in a black pantsuit and sporting a buzzcut, Fin introduced themselves by their new name before reading a Bible verse to the congregation at Christ Church United Methodist in Charleston, West Virginia.

While Fin has been sporting their new haircut since February this year, it was the first time they introduced themselves publicly with their new name. Fin said, 'Hello, my name is Fin Affleck,' then read Chapter 16, Verse 8 from the Book of Proverbs: 'Better is a little with righteousness than a large income with injustice.'

Jennifer Garner's post for her father

Jennifer Garner first announced her father’s death on Instagram in an emotional post last Monday. “We are grateful for Dad’s gentle demeanour and quiet strength,” she wrote. “For how he teased with a mischievous smile, and for the way he invented the role of all-in, ever-patient girl dad. We are grateful for his work ethic, leadership and faith.”
