The Ethics Board of the BCCI has dismissed the conflict of interest case against President Roger Binny.
The complaint registered by Sanjeev Gupta against Binny pertained to his daughter-in-law Mayanti Langer being associated with Star Sports, the home broadcaster of the BCCI.
Justice Vineet Sareen ruled that the complaint against the BCCI president was devoid of merit and stands dismissed.
&nbsp;"I do not find merit in the complaint of Mr Sanjeev Gupta. Further, since the complainant has failed to establish the existence of an instance of Conflict of Interest, Rule 38(2) would not be attracted in the present case,"&nbsp; Justice Sareen said in his ruling.

BCCI president Roger Binny has been served a conflict of interest notice by the Indian board's ethics officer Vineet Saran.
Sanjeev Gupta has raised the conflict of interest allegation against the BCCI head. He has alleged that Binny is conflicted as his daughter-in-law, Mayanti Langer works for Star Sports which has home season media rights for broadcasting Indian cricket.
Saran has directed the World Cup-winning cricketer to file his written response by December 20 along with an affidavit.&nbsp;
World Cup winner Binny had become the 36th BCCI president in October, replacing former India captain Sourav Ganguly.

"Most teams prefer to chase down the total because the wickets are such, it keeps getting slower and slower as the game goes on," Binny said in response to a query on what the batters' approach should be during the powerplay.
 Indian openers Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul have failed to give India a good start in the four matches played so far. The 23-run partnership against South Africa for the opening wicket is the highest stand for India in the ongoing World Cup Down Under.

SC in its order stated that office bearers can have continuous tenure of 12 years which includes six years in State Association and six years in BCCI. Both Ganguly and Shah's three-year term in the BCCI was set to expire shortly and had the colling-off period not waved off, both of them would have not been able to contest the elections. But after the verdict, BCCI office bearers will be allowed to take one term each at the State association or BCCI.&nbsp;

Kohli managed to score just 12 runs in the two T20I against England and missed out on the first ODI of the three-match ODI series due to a mild groin strain. Kohli also hasn't scored an international century since November 2019.

BCCI President Sourav Ganguly, who is currently in London, was captured celebrating his 50th birthday in a different avatar altogether. In a video that's gone viral on social media, Dada can be seen dancing enthusiastically near the London Eye at midnight.
In the clip that's taken the internet by storm, Ganguly is seen dancing along with his wife and daughter to Bollywood's famous songs, 'Om Shanti Om' and 'Tu Mera Hero'.
This new version of Ganguly, who was famous for his celebrations on the field during his career, has left the fans wanting more.

BCCI sold the IPL media rights for a whopping Rs 44,075 crore which included the TV and Digital media rights for the next 5 years. The Indian cricket board sold packages A and B to separate bidders on the 2nd Day of the e-auction on Monday. Reportedly, Package A, the coveted Indian TV subcontinent rights were retained by Disney Star for Rs 23,575 crore, BCCI revealed that Package B, the digital rights were sold to Viacom18 for 20,500 crores. The board will give the official confirmation after the completion of the e-auction.For 410 matches, where the board had pegged Rs 49 crore/match for TV and Rs 33 crore/match for digital, BCCI got Rs 44,075 crore. While BCCI sold the TV rights for Rs 57.5 crore/match and the digital rights for Rs 50 crore/match. For their last rights of 5 years, Disney Hotstar had paid Rs 16,347.5 crores to BCCI. The remaining auction for Package C (set of 18 non-exclusive matches) and Package D (overseas rights) will resume on Tuesday. As per reports, Day 2 of the bidding on Monday ended at a bid of 18.5 crore/match for Package C against the reserve price of Rs 16 crore.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday dined at Indian cricketing legend Sourav Ganguly's residence in South Kolkata, BJP party officials said.
Asked about the dinner meet-up, Ganguly who is also the BCCI chief, told reporters that though there was a lot of speculation, the dinner was because he had known Shah for long.
The dinner was a close family affair where besides Ganguly, his wife Donna, who had earlier in the day performed at Victoria Memorial at a function which Shah attended, the cricketer’s elder brother and sister-in-law played the role of hosts.
Accompanying Shah were BJP idealogue Swapan Dasgupta, BJP state president Sukanta Majumdar, and Leader of the opposition in West Bengal assembly Suvendu Adhikari.
Ganguly, who at one time had been fondly dubbed `Prince of Calcutta' for his cricketing prowess, told reporters, “Bohu kotha rote (many speculations are rife), … but I have known him (Shah) since 2008. While playing, I used to meet him. There’s nothing more than that.
He had also pointed out he had worked with his son in the Board of Control for Cricket in India.

However, analysts point out that Ganguly at one time was rumoured to be the man BJP wanted to snare for a leadership role in the party’s Bengal unit and possibly even its chief ministerial face. However, the master cricketer has notably steered away from politics, confining himself to cricket administration till now.
"It is a regular practice for senior BJP leaders to have lunch or dinner at the residence of noted personalities during their visit to any state," BJP state president Sukanta Majumdar, who is facing up to severe infighting within his party unit, had earlier said.
On Thursday, Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, with whom too the Ganguly has excellent relations, responding to queries on Shah’s plans to visit Ganguly, had quipped, "What is the harm? He (Shah) loves rosogolla (a popular Bengali sweetmeat), and I would urge Sourav to keep a large stock of Rosogollas."

BCCI&nbsp;president Sourav&nbsp;Ganguly&nbsp;is all set to be discharged from the hospital on Wednesday as his condition is stable after angioplasty. A doctor at the hospital, where he is admitted told PTI&nbsp;that Dada's&nbsp;health parameters are normal and he has no complaints. Ganguly&nbsp;who suffered a minor heart attack on January 2, might have to undergo 2nd&nbsp;angioplasty which can be performed at a later stage. According to reports, the former India captain will resume work after month.
