Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold7 and Flip7 First Impressions: What’s new?

Samsung's Fold7 and Flip7 are here with sleeker builds, brighter displays, powerful processors, and new Galaxy AI tricks. The Fold gets a 200MP camera, while the Flip goes all-in on selfies with Gemini Live baked right into the camera.

Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold7 and Flip7 First Impressions: What’s new?

Samsung’s back with its 2025 foldable refresh, and this time, the upgrades aren’t just skin-deep. The Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 are leaner, smarter, and packed with new AI tricks—but they also come with some serious price tags.

Galaxy Z Fold7: Slimmer, lighter, and now rocking a 200MP camera

The Fold7 is the thinnest and lightest Fold yet—just 8.9mm when shut and 4.2mm open, weighing 215 grams. The cover screen is now a slightly bigger 6.5 inches, while the inside unfolds into a massive 8-inch AMOLED display.

Samsung’s also upped the camera game with a wild 200MP main sensor, backed by a 12MP ultra-wide and a 10MP telephoto lens. The battery remains at 4,400mAh, so expect similar usage time as last year. Under the hood, you’re getting Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, so performance should be smooth across the board.

Galaxy Z Flip7: Brighter cover screen, bigger battery, and AI flex

The Flip7 is all about subtle polish. It’s super slim at 6.5mm when open, and the outer screen is now a proper edge-to-edge 4.1-inch AMOLED with 120Hz refresh and an eye-searing 2,600 nits peak brightness. Flip it open and you’re looking at a larger 6.9-inch main display.

Camera-wise, there’s a 50MP main and 12MP ultra-wide setup. The real star, though, is the new AI feature—Gemini Live—baked right into the camera app to help out during selfie videos.

It’s powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 2500 chip, which the brand promises is finally ready to impress. Still, we’ve all seen Exynos fumble before—so fingers crossed.

The Price

The Fold7 will set you back ₹1,75,000, and the Flip7 lands at ₹1,10,000. These are big upgrades, no doubt. But whether they’re big enough to justify that kind of spend? That’s still up for debate.
