The Galaxy Tab S12 series brings Samsung’s thinnest-ever Galaxy Tab design, MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 chipset, brighter AMOLED screens and Android 17 with One UI 9. Buyers also get an S Pen in the box, something that has remained one of Samsung’s strongest advantages in the premium tablet segment.

Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra And Tab S12+ Get Bigger AMOLED Displays And Dimensity 9500

The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra has a 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 2,960 x 1,848 resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The Galaxy Tab S12+ gets a 12.6-inch, 2,800 x 1,752 Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, also with a 120Hz refresh rate.

Both panels can reach up to 1,600 nits of peak brightness, while Samsung’s Vision Booster adjusts brightness according to ambient lighting.

At 5.1mm, the Tab S12 Ultra is Samsung’s thinnest Galaxy Tab to date. The Tab S12+ measures 5.3mm. The Ultra weighs 692g in its Wi-Fi version, while the Plus weighs 553g, making it the more practical option for anyone who intends to carry it regularly.

Powering both tablets is the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor. Samsung claims it delivers 61% faster NPU performance, 19% faster CPU performance and 17% better GPU performance than the previous Galaxy Tab generation. A redesigned 3D vapour chamber is meant to help maintain performance during long editing, gaming or multitasking sessions.

The Tab S12 Ultra packs an 11,600mAh battery, while the Tab S12+ gets a 10,600mAh battery. Samsung claims up to 23 hours of battery life on the Ultra and 21 hours on the Plus under ideal lab conditions.
