Galaxy AI features can soon be experienced by more Samsung users as was assured by the company earlier this year. Samsung has now announce UI 6.1 update for the same, set to roll out soon.

Samsung expands Galaxy AI to more devices including S23 series: Check details of rollout schedule here

Samsung Galaxy AI made its debut earlier this year in January with the Galaxy S24 series smartphones. This was followed by Samsung’s announcement of their plans of making Galaxy AI the “global standard for mobile AI”, and introducing it to 100 million Galaxy devices by this year.

In the latest news, Samsung has revealed the upcoming UI 6.1, set to introduce Galaxy AI to more devices when it rolls out. This move aims to bring cutting-edge AI tools to a wider audience, enhancing the user experience across various Samsung devices.

One UI 6.1 Rollout Schedule and Eligible Devices

One UI 6.1, set to launch on March 28, targets the Samsung Galaxy S23 series, including premium models like S23 FE, Z Fold5, Z Flip5. It also targets the Tab S9 series, featuring the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra, Tab S9+ and Tab S9 WiFi versions.

The rollout extends Galaxy AI features to these devices, initially exclusive to the Galaxy S24 series. The update will be available for free until 2025, requiring a Samsung account and internet connection for full functionality.

Galaxy AI Features for Previous Generation Devices

For context, Galaxy AI brings new features powered by the Google Gemini Nano AI model. This includes Transcript Assist, Live Translate, Interpreter, Chat Assist, Note Assist, Android Auto and Circle to Search with Google for optimising user experience.

Circle to Search with Google stands out, enabling users to search information directly from their screens. Live Translate for phone calls breaks down language barriers in real-time conversations. Chat Assist for Samsung Keyboard enhances communication across apps with features like translation and grammar correction.

We also get the ProVisual Engine, an array of AI-powered tools that aim to “transform image capturing abilities.” The ProVisual Engine includes features like the Quad Tele System, Adaptive Pixel Sensor, Nightography, Instant Slo-mo, and Super HDR.Generative Edit for photos offers advanced photo editing capabilities, such as object removal and background customization.

This strategic update by Samsung signifies its commitment to innovation, ensuring users enjoy the latest AI features regardless of their device's generation. By extending Galaxy AI to more devices, Samsung enhances the digital experience for a broader audience, maintaining its position as a leader in mobile technology.

The initiative not only enhances the value of older devices but also strengthens customer loyalty by providing access to new technologies without the need to purchase the latest models. This approach reflects Samsung's dedication to sustainability and customer satisfaction, making advanced technology accessible to more users.
