Oracle accused of stealing data of billions of people

Oracle, a global leader in cloud computing, faces a new privacy class action lawsuit in the United States.

The lawsuit argues that the internet giant's "global surveillance machine" collected information on about five billion people, thereby invading the privacy of a massive number of individuals.

Oracle's data collection about individuals includes their names, home addresses, emails, online and offline purchases, real-world movements, income, interests, and political views, as well as a comprehensive account of their online activities.

Therefore, Oracle is now being accused of violating the Federal Electronic Communications Privacy Act, the California Constitution, the California Invasion of Privacy Act, competition law, and the common law.
