Samsung S25 FE Unboxing & First Impressions: The Next Fan Edition in Focus

Samsung Galaxy S25 FE brings flagship features at ₹59,999 with Dynamic AMOLED 120Hz display, triple cameras, Exynos 2400, and 4,900mAh battery.

Samsung S25 FE Unboxing & First Impressions: The Next Fan Edition in Focus

Samsung’s Fan Edition smartphones have always carried the promise of flagship-level performance at a slightly more accessible price point, and the new Galaxy S25 FE is no different. Priced at ₹59,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant, it officially goes on sale in India from September 29, 2025.

Samsung Galaxy S25 FE: Unboxing Experience

The S25 FE arrives in a sleek black box, identical to Samsung’s flagship series packaging. Inside, you’ll find the phone itself, a SIM ejector tool, a USB Type-C to Type-C cable, and a quick start guide. No surprises here—there’s no charger in the box, so you’ll need to rely on an existing one or pick up Samsung’s fast charger separately.

Our review unit came in the Navy colour, and it immediately stood out with its refined matte finish.

Samsung Galaxy S25 FE: Design & Build Quality

The first impression when holding the S25 FE is its balance. At 190 grams and just 7.4mm thick, it’s slim without feeling fragile. The matte texture on the Navy model feels elegant and does a good job resisting fingerprints. Samsung has kept the FE line premium, with a polished frame and silver-accented triple-camera array at the back.

With IP68 certification, the device is ready to take on accidental splashes, dusty conditions, or even the occasional dip in water. The ergonomics are spot-on—the buttons on the right edge feel sturdy, and the overall in-hand feel is reassuring.

The phone is available in Navy, Black, and White, all of which look understated yet premium.

Samsung Galaxy S25 FE: Display & Multimedia

Samsung’s display game remains unmatched. The S25 FE packs a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. Scrolling feels smooth, animations are fluid, and colours really pop—whether you’re gaming, bingeing Netflix, or just doomscrolling on Instagram.

Peak brightness is high enough to make outdoor visibility effortless, while Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection keeps the screen secure from scratches and everyday mishaps. Slim bezels add to the immersive feel, making this display one of the highlights of the phone.

Samsung Galaxy S25 FE: Performance & Software

Under the hood, the Galaxy S25 FE runs on Samsung’s Exynos 2400 chipset, paired with 8GB RAM in the base variant, scaling up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. In my initial experience, day-to-day usage—app switching, social media, or light multitasking—felt fast and fluid.

Samsung has also leaned heavily into AI with One UI 8. Tools like generative photo editing, live translation, and productivity-focused AI features should add real value to everyday use, though I’ll need to put them through proper testing in the full review.

Samsung Galaxy S25 FE: Cameras

The Galaxy S25 FE doesn’t cut corners on optics. At the back, you get a triple-camera setup featuring a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, an 8MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and a 12MP ultra-wide for those wider landscapes and group shots.

Up front, there’s a 12MP selfie camera that should handle video calls and social media-ready portraits with ease.

Samsung Galaxy S25 FE: Battery & Charging

The S25 FE houses a 4,900mAh battery—an improvement over the 4,700mAh cell in the S24 FE. Samsung claims up to 28 hours of video playback, which, on paper, puts it close to its flagship siblings. With 25W fast wired charging, the phone can hit 65% in just 30 minutes, which is handy for quick top-ups.

That said, in a market where some rivals are pushing 6,000mAh and even 7,000mAh batteries, the S25 FE’s endurance will need to prove itself under heavy usage. Samsung’s optimisation will be key here.

Samsung Galaxy S25 FE: First Impressions

After spending some time with the Galaxy S25 FE, the takeaways are clear: the design is sleek and well-built, the display continues to be one of Samsung’s strongest weapons, and One UI 8 with AI features gives the software a polished, modern edge.

The camera setup looks versatile, and the addition of OIS and telephoto zoom makes it promising for photography enthusiasts. The only hesitation lies with the battery capacity—while 4,900mAh isn’t small, competition is offering more.

Overall, the Galaxy S25 FE feels like a true “Fan Edition” — premium design, flagship DNA, and just enough features trimmed to keep the price in check. Whether it can hold up as the best balance in Samsung’s lineup will be clear in the full review.
