Today we’ll be doing something slightly different because I have got something very special with me. This box right here has the latest models from OnePlus’s super-popular Nord series. Yes, the Nord 5 and the Nord CE 5.

I know you all are very super excited to learn more about the phones, so let’s get straight to the unboxing.

Now, the box that I’ve got here is the special media package that OnePlus has been kind enough to send across.

By the way, in case you are wondering, both these phones are launching in India on 8th July.

Now moving on, since it’s the media package, it is a little quirky and flashy.

It’s big, and blue, and opens up in a rather unusual way. The first thing that we get to seen in the box is this to reveal a mirror cube.

After that, we get to retail boxes of the Nord 5 and the Nord CE 5. The Nord CE 5 will be the more affordable out of the two, so we’ll get to it later.

Let’s unbox the main star of the upcoming launch, the OnePlus Nord 5 first.

The Nord 5 is the successor to the super popular Nord 4, which was released last year, and was powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3.

For the Nord 5, OnePlus is using the the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset.

Here we finally have the phone…Which we’ll get to later.

In the meantime, let’s see what else do we get in the box first.

We have the user guide, warranty card and manuals here,

Here, we have an 80W charger that will juice up the OnePlus Nord 5’s battery.

We also get that Classic OnePlus red and white USB A to C cable along with the SIM ejector tool and a protective case

Now let’s keep all of this aside, and unwrap the phone. I am so excited.

The Nord 5 that we have here is in the Marble Sands colour.

The device feels rock solid in the hand. You can also get in Dry Ice and Phantom Grey colourways, but I really like this wavy, cool, shimmery pattern on the Nord 5.

We won’t be going into detail about the software and performance of this phone just yet, cause we’re saving it for the full review, so stay tuned for that.

What we can tell you is that the Nord 5 should be a proper gaming beast.

OnePlus claims that you can play BGMI at 144 fps, for a cool 5 hours, without any issues.

Going back to the design, at the back, we get this pill shaped camera island which houses the main 50MP Sony LYT-700 sensor, along with an 8MP ultrawide.

OnePlus says they have done something special with the camera, so have a look at some of these sample photos and do let us know what you think.

At the front, we again get a 50MP sensor for selfies. This means, that for the first time, a Nord device will be able to shoot 4K60 fps videos from both, the front and the back cameras.

Well, that was the Nord 5, time to unbox the Nord CE5,

      OnePlus Nord CE5

The unboxing experience is pretty similar to the Nord 5

And here we have the phone…

We’ll get to it later. Let us first check out what else we have in the box.

We have the user guide, warranty card and manuals here,

Here’s the 80W charger that will juice up the OnePlus Nord CE 5’s 4500mAh battery.

And also get that classic red and white cable, along with the sim ejector tool. Now let's unwrap the phone.

Our unit of the CE5 comes in this Nexus Blue colour.

We see a plastic back and a pill-shaped camera bump.

We see some really interesting design choices with both the Nord 5 and the Nord CE5. And I cannot wait to put these through their paces.

We will be putting up both these devices through a gauntlet of tests and benchmarks to see how they perform and take a deeper look at that camera. But, for all of that, you will have to wait for our in-depth review.
