OnePlus marks 12 years in India with a new six-star lineup for the 15R reveal

OnePlus has introduced a new six-member ambassador lineup and a six-part “Power On. Limits Off” campaign as it marks 12 years in India. The brand will unveil the OnePlus 15R and Pad Go 2 at the “Rise as One” launch event in Bengaluru on December 17.

OnePlus marks 12 years in India with a new six-star lineup for the 15R reveal

OnePlus has decided to do things a little differently as it completes 12 years in India. Instead of leaning on one big celebrity, the brand has brought together a completely new mix of people to represent it this year. The list is surprisingly diverse, you’ve got Jasprit Bumrah and Smriti Mandhana from the cricket world, gaming creator Jonathan, singer Armaan Malik, Formula racer Kush Maini, and even actor Nitanshi Goel.

It’s a lineup that feels less like a typical endorsement deal and more like OnePlus trying to tap into different pockets of Indian pop culture at the same time.

The New Brand Faces

This fresh roster is the face of their new campaign, “Power On. Limits Off,” which is setting the stage for the upcoming launch of the OnePlus 15R and OnePlus Pad Go 2.

According to the brand, this isn't just about plastering faces on billboards. They’ve commissioned a six-part ad film series, conceptualized in-house and produced by Helsinki-based creative shop Kameron. The concept seems to steer clear of standard glossy tech ads, instead focusing on the gritty, internal monologues of these performers. The films explore themes like the long road to recovery after an injury, the mental toughness required to ignore criticism, and the courage to reinvent oneself, narratives that OnePlus is using to mirror its long-standing "Never Settle" philosophy.

A Campaign Built on Performance

The strategy here is pretty clear. By pulling in names like Jonathan Gaming and Kush Maini alongside mainstream cricket stars, OnePlus is trying to tie its hardware specs, specifically speed and processing power, to real-world performance in esports and motorsport. Ishita Grover, Director of Marketing at OnePlus India, highlighted this intentional diversity, noting that blending sport, art, and tech allows them to reflect a "performance-first approach" that appeals to different corners of their user base.

Jasprit Bumrah, speaking on the tie-up, stripped it down to work ethic rather than just products. "Pushing limits is a quiet journey that involves challenging yourself to be better. It is about showing up every day, trusting the work... and rising stronger," he said. Singer Armaan Malik added that the collaboration felt natural because it focused on "choosing growth over comfort," a sentiment the brand is hoping to attach to its new devices.

The Launch Event

All eyes are now on December 17. The company is treating its 12th anniversary as a major community moment with the “Rise as One” event in Bengaluru. This is where the OnePlus 15R and the Pad Go 2 will officially break cover. Breaking from standard media-only launches, OnePlus has opened this up to the public; fans wanting to catch the unveil live can actually grab tickets via BookMyShow right now.
