Maggi has recently, launched an 'edible fork' made from wheat flour with their Masala Cuppa Noodles, which means now you can eat the fork too. This product has been available in metro cities since May 2024. This new product aims to provide a sustainable alternative to single-use plastic. Maggi in the past has also introduced foldable, compostable forks to reduce the use of plastic. This initiative by Maggi is gaining a lot of attention and people are appreciating it as a small step towards a better environment.

Maggi launched the 'edible fork'

Part of Maggi’s ‘Desh ke liye 2 minute’ initiative, launched in 2020, this edible fork is a collaboration between Nestle R&D India and Indian start-up Trishula. The initiative underscores Maggi’s commitment to environmental responsibility and enhancing the consumer experience.

Rajat Jain, Director of Foods at Nestlé India, emphasized the importance of this innovation, saying, "The edible fork represents a milestone in our commitment to environmental responsibility and highlights our global R&D capabilities."

Jagdeep Marahar, Head of Nestlé R&D Centre India, noted, "Our global and local packaging expertise enables us to explore sustainable alternatives to plastic. The edible fork is a part of our efforts to develop innovative and widely accepted solutions for local consumers."
