Punjab Speaker condemns mistreatment of deported Indians, urges youth to stay

Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker S. Kultar Singh Sandhwan has strongly condemned the inhumane treatment of Indians recently deported from the United States.

He expressed deep regret over the act of denying Sikh youths the right to wear turbans and criticized the use of handcuffs and leg chains on deportees, calling it extremely condemnable.

Appealing to the youth of Punjab, Sandhwan urged them to stay in their homeland and pursue vocational courses that would help them build their own businesses and become job creators.

He emphasized that spending ₹50 lakh to migrate abroad, risking their lives, and working as servants in foreign countries is not a wise decision, especially when Punjab offers fertile land and numerous opportunities.

Expressing pride in Punjab’s hardworking youth, Sandhwan encouraged them to explore vocational training in various fields such as computer hardware and software, electrician work, drafting, mobile repair, art and craft, jewelry designing, automobile testing and repair, tool and die making, multimedia, photography, interior designing, beautician courses, fashion designing, CAD-CAM, tourism and hospitality, as well as medical and healthcare.

He stressed that by acquiring these skills, young Punjabis can secure a better future within their own country.
