Punjab bags coveted Technology Sabha Excellence Award in data analytics

The Punjab Government has received national recognition by securing the Technology Sabha Excellence Award 2025 in the Data Analytics category.

The award highlights the state's initiatives in using technology and data analytics to improve governance and deliver better citizen services.

The award was presented to Additional Chief Secretary of Punjab’s Good Governance and Information Technology Department, Mr. D.K. Tiwari, during a ceremony organised by the Indian Express Group in Jaipur, Rajasthan. The recognition reinforces the Punjab Government’s ongoing efforts to enhance governance through the strategic use of technology.

The Technology Sabha platform is one of India’s prominent e-Governance forums, bringing together ICT professionals and policymakers from across the country. It serves as a venue to showcase successful digital initiatives and promote dialogue on the future of digital governance. The award honours government entities that have implemented innovative tech-driven solutions with measurable benefits for citizens.

Congratulating the department’s officials, Punjab Good Governance and Information Technology Minister Mr. Aman Arora described the achievement as a matter of pride for the entire state. “It validates Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann's visionary leadership in leveraging technology to revolutionise governance,” he said. He reiterated the state’s commitment to transparency, efficiency, and accountability in delivering public services.

“This award for our work in data analytics demonstrates that we are not just talking about good governance, but actively building it, brick by brick,” Mr. Arora said, emphasising that data analytics plays a vital role in modern administration. “It allows to understand citizen needs more deeply, identify bottlenecks in service delivery and make evidence-based decisions to improve the lives of the citizens,” he added.

He further noted that the recognition from Technology Sabha would serve as motivation to continue the digital transformation journey with greater enthusiasm.

The award recognises Punjab's effective deployment of advanced data analytics to optimise administrative processes, improve service delivery, and build a more responsive and accountable government. It aligns with the state government's goal to build a "Rangla Punjab" through the adoption of innovative technological solutions for the welfare and prosperity of its citizens.
