Netflix India has announced a new docuseries which will be based on the sensational Sheena Bora murder case. It will feature Indrani Mukerjea and many more people associated with the case.

      An entire new chapter will unravel in the sensational ‘Sheera Bora murder case’ that shocked entire nation in 2015 and saw the arrest of INX media CEO Indrani Mukerjea. Netflix India has announced a docuseries on the Sheena Bora case. ‘The Indrani Mukerjea Story: Buried Truth’ will deep dive into the spine-chilling scandal.

      The Netflix documentary series will see the main accused Indrani Mukerjea speak up about the case. The OTT platform made the announcement with a poster, which shows Indrani’s face partially.

      About the release date of docuseries

      The intriguing documentary series will premiere on February 23 on Netflix. Announcing the same, Netflix India wrote, "A sensational scandal that rocked the entire nation, with one family's darkest secrets at the center of it all. The Indrani Mukerjea Story Buried Truth, coming on 23 February only on Netflix!" The Netflix series will feature Indrani Mukerjea along with her children, some senior journalists and lawyers who have been part of the case.

      The case has been one of the most talked about murder mystery in India. It got more twisted as the relationship between Indrani and Sheena unravelled. Earlier considered sisters, it was later alleged that Sheena was Indrani’s daughter and later, Indrani also went on to claim that Sheena is alive. This documentary will be an interesting watch for many who have been curious to know more about this mysterious case.

      Indrani Mukerjea’s Memoir

      Earlier, the main accused Indrani Mukerjea had written about the case in her memoir, ‘Unbroken: The Untold Story’, in which she had shed light on her life in prison for six years. She is currently out on the bail.
