Netflix unveiled the first look of ‘Berlin’, a spin-off on Pedro Alonso’s popular character from ‘Money Heist’ aka La Casa de Papel on Monday. The short video gives us a glimpse of a newer version of Berlin and introduces the characters who will be part of the show - Damian, Keila Cameron, Roi, and Bruce.

The spin-off series will chronicle the events that led Berlin to become a part of Professor’s heist. The series will be arriving on the OTT platform in 2023. Sharing the first look on YouTube, Netflix wrote, ‘Mixing love and heists isn’t always a bad idea.’

The Hollywood Reporter had recently confirmed the cast members and their roles in the show. Michelle Jenner plays Keila, who is an electronics specialist. Damián is played by Tristán Ulloa, who is Berlin’s confidant and philanthropic professor. Begoña Vargas portrays the role of Cameron, Julio Peña Fernández will be seen as Roi and Joel Sánchez as Bruce.

The first season of ‘Berlin’ will comprise eight episodes. It has been co-written by ‘Money Heist’ creators Esther Martinez Lobato and Alex Pina, and David Oliva and David Berrocal.

Albert Pintó, Barrocal, and Geoffrey Cowper are directing the first season of ‘Berlin’.

The filming of Money Heist spin-off series began on October 3 in Paris.

For the unversed, Berlin was killed off in ‘Money Heist’ season 2. However, due to the popularity of the character, makers brought him back via flashbacks in season 3 and 4.
