Will SS Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’ win the Oscar? Jr NTR and Ram Charan starrer joins Oscars 2023 prediction list

SS Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’, starring Ram Charan and Jr NTR, received positive reviews worldwide and now it is eyeing Oscar 2023. As per a prediction list by popular International magazine Variety, ‘RRR’ may get nomination under 4 categories at the Academy Awards next year. RRR could be nominated in two categories - Best International Feature and Best Original Song (Dosti). The predicted list also shows Jr NTR and Ram Charan nominated under Best Actors.

Fans can't keep calm over the fact that ‘RRR’ and two Telugu actors will be competing with Hollywood celebrities. However, the final nomination list by the Academy is not out yet. The list will be released in the coming months.

‘RRR’ earned over Rs 1100 crore in its theatrical run. The film narrates the story of revolutionary freedom fighters Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem. The film, which released on March 25, 2022, also features Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran, Ray Stevenson, Alison Doody and Olivia Morris in pivotal roles.
