Ticket prices for Puneeth Rajkumar’s 'Gandhada Gudi' slashed in Karnataka so more children can watch it

Puneeth Rajkumar’s wife Ashwini took to Twitter on November 6 to announce that the ticket prices for her late husband-actor’s movie ‘Gandhada Gudi’ will be reduced. The prices have been slashed from Monday till Thursday across Karnataka for all shows so that children can watch the movie. Fans have called this move a great initiative that can help in taking forward Puneeth’s legacy.

‘Gandhada Gudi’ was Puneeth Rajkumar’s last film. The actor’s wife told in a statement that it was Puneeth’s wish that more and more children should watch the movie.The film is directed by Amoghavarsha JS and is a documentary that shows the wildlife of Karnataka. The film released in the last week of October and was liked by the audience.

The statement by Ashwini also mentioned that the ticket price for the movie on single screens across Karnataka has been cut down to Rs. 56 and Rs. 112 for multiplexes.

Fans called the move a ‘great initiative’ and a fan tweeted ‘Great gesture from Ashwini ma’am. Everyone in Karnataka, especially kids, should watch the movie.’

Puneeth died of cardiac arrest at the age of 46 in October 2021. On the occasion of the 67th Kannada Rajyotsava, the actor was honored with Karnataka’s highest civilian award, the Karnataka Ratna, posthumously.
