‘Pushpa 2’: Rashmika Mandanna sports sindoor as she returns as Srivalli; 1st look out on her birthday

Actor Rashmika Mandanna turned a year older on April 5 and her birthday became even more special with the release of her first look poster from the upcoming movie ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’. The makers of the film unveiled the poster featuring Rashmika as Srivalli through their official social media handles.

‘Wishing the 𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏'𝒔 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒕𝒉𝒓𝒐𝒃 'Srivalli' aka @iamRashmika a very Happy Birthday,’ they wrote.

The poster features Rashmika Mandanna in a saree, adorned with heavy jewellery, and sporting sindoor on her forehead, with a stern expression on her face.

Earlier, in an interview with Pinkvilla, Rashmika Mandanna teased ‘Pushpa 2’ when she promised that the film would be ‘bigger’ than ever.

‘I can promise you that Pushpa 2 is going to be so much bigger. We gave some madness in the first film, in part 2, we know we have a responsibility because people have so much expectation from the film. We are constantly and consciously trying to deliver that. I just shot for a song for Pushpa 2 and I was just like, ‘How are you guys thinking about this?’ Everyone is so driven to make a good film. All of us have gone all out and are enjoying the process. It’s a story that has no end, you can lead it any which way. It is fun,’ she told the publication.

Apart from Rashmika Mandanna, 'Pushpa 2' also stars Allu Arjun in the lead role. His first look poster from the movie was released last year, showing him dressed in a saree with his face painted in blue and red shades. He was also adorned with heavy traditional gold and flower jewellery, including jhumkas, a nose ring, bangles, and makeup.

‘Pushpa: The Rise,’ released in 2021, was written and directed by Sukumar, becoming a blockbuster hit at the box office. The final shooting schedule for ‘Pushpa 2’ is currently underway in Vizag. The movie might feature Samantha Ruth Prabhu in a cameo and Sanjay Dutt in a special appearance. ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ is scheduled to hit theatres on August 15, 2024.
