BTS is Billboard’s pick for No. 19 among the Greatest Pop Stars of 21st Century

Billboard is curating a list of 25 greatest pop stars of 21st century and it recently unveiled its pick for the number 19 position. South Korean K-pop band BTS which has created global sensation in the last one decade has bagged the 19th spot in the esteemed list.

Comprising of RM, Jin, Suga, J-hope, Jimin, Jungkook and V, the septet is credited for paving the way for Korean pop in the global music sphere. Since their debut in 2013, the boy band has carved a dedicated fanbase, garnering an unprecedented following across the globe.

BTS is the first all-South Korean group to top both Billboard 100 & Billboard 200.
The group has 5 Grammy nominations, 10 MTV VMAs and 12 Billboard awards to their credit. Coming from a humble back group to breaking the barriers of language and everything in between, their achievements remain unmatched in the current century.

BTS has beaten Bruno Mars, Lil Wayne, One Direction, Bad Bunny, Ed Sheeran and Katy Perry, who have gotten number 20-25 position respectively, to stand at number 19.
