      BLACKPINK’s Rosé has become the first female K-pop artist in history to earn a top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 with her latest song ‘APT’. She also created history as her collaborative track with Bruno Mars secured top position on this week’s Billboard Global 200.

      Billboard announced on social media that Rosé’s super viral song has secured number 8 position on Hot 100 chart. Besides this, the K-pop star has also become the first female K-pop act to have topped both Billboard Global 200 and Global 200 Excl. United States charts.

      Rose has been on record breaking streak on Spotify and YouTube as well. Her viral song got the biggest debut of 2024, surpassing Taylor Swift and Post Malone’s Fortnight. APT also witnessed the highest 21.1 million streams on YouTube Music Korea, surpassing Butter by BTS which recorded 20.7 million streams in its first week.

      APT, a track inspired from a Korean drinking game, dropped on October 18. The song is a collaboration between Rosé and Bruno Mars. With infectious beats, catchy lyrics and super fun music video, the song has gone viral across social media.

      Rosé is now preparing to release her debut solo album. Titled ‘Rosie’, her first-ever studio album will be out on December 6. Besides Rosé, Lisa and Jennie, the other two BLACKPINK members also had new song releases. Jisoo, on the other hand, is currently focusing on her acting career.
