SAG AWARDS 2024: 'Succession' secures top honour; 'Beef' & 'The Bear' win big

The 2024 Screen Actors Guild Awards, celebrating the best of television and films, brought a much-needed opportunity for the actors union to celebrate after landing a deal with the AMPTP following the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike. After more than two decades airing on TNT and TBS to dwindling viewership, the coveted show streamed on Netflix, embracing the recent shift to the streaming world.

In the television categories, 'The Bear' and 'Beef' had a remarkable night, with Jeremy Allen, Ayo Edebiri, Ali Wong, and Steven Yeun clinching the top honours. 'Succession', meanwhile, bagged the coveted award for outstanding performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series

'Succession' show at SAG Awards 2024

Concluding its four-season run on a fruitious note, 'Succession' clinched the Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series award at the 2024 Screen Actors Guild Awards. The stars of Breaking Bad had a sweet reunion as they came together to present the trophy.

'The Bear' wins big

It was a monumental night for 'The Bear' as the series emerged as the winner in the Comedy Series Ensemble. Jeremy Allen White and Ayo Edebiri, the lead cast of 'The Bear' also snagged television honours, registering victories as Male Actor in a Comedy Series and Female Actor in a Comedy Series, respectively.

Steven Yeun and Ali Wong shine bright

Ali Wong won the prestigious accolade for outstanding performance by a female actor in a television movie or limited series for her captivating role in 'Beef'. Steven Yeun emerged winner in the male category for his outstanding performance in Netflix's limited series.
