The highly-anticipated teaser trailer of 'Moana 2' has finally been unveiled by the makers. It sees Moana embarking on a journey to the distant seas of Oceania after receiving an unexpected call from her ancestors. Starring Auli‘i Cravalho and Dwayne Johnson as Moana and demigod Maui, respectively, the first part of the Disney film was released in 2016.

'Moana 2' was announced in February, igniting a fan frenzy, and Disney has finally offered a glimpse into the upcoming adventure. The sequel will bring back Auli'i Cravalho and Dwayne Johnson as Moana and Maui, along with rooster Heihei and pet pig Pua will be back. The first footage teased by the makers sees Moana embarking on a dangerous journey in long-lost waters. She is also joined by Maui for the adventurous ride.

It was originally planned as a TV show, but the Disney bosses later decided to turn the project into a movie.

Bob Iger, Walt Disney Company Chief Executive Officer, announced that 'Moana 2' is Disney Animation’s all-new feature-length sequel to 2016’s Oscar-nominated film, which will be released in November. “Moana remains an incredibly popular franchise,” said Iger, “and we can’t wait to give you more of Moana and Maui when ‘Moana 2’ comes to theatres this November.”

The film will arrive in US cinemas on November 27 and UK cinemas on November 29.
