Millions watched teaser of Adele's new song, 'Easy On Me' within an hour of its release

Tens of millions of fans have viewed the 20-second teaser that Adele shared on Tuesday for her new song, "Easy On Me," on her social media handles. Her comeback single, from her fourth album "30," will be released on October 15.

The black and white 20-second teaser was viewed 3 million times on Twitter and 2.8 million times on Instagram within an hour of its release. Adele has 40 million followers on Instagram and 26.4 million Twitter followers.

By Wednesday afternoon, the clip had been viewed over 12.4 million times on Instagram, and 13.4 million on Twitter, with another 4.3 million on YouTube.

Adele's last album, "25," was released in 2015. The record won multiple Grammys, bagging 'Album of the year', 'Best pop vocal album', along with 'Song of the year', and 'Record of the year'. Adele won the 'Best pop solo performance for "Hello" at the 59th annual Grammy Awards.
