Sources close to the actors reveal that while Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have finalized the divorce papers, they have yet to file them.

The couple is currently working on settling arrangements and will time their public announcement with a joint statement once those arrangements are complete.

A source told Daily Mail, ‘They finalised the divorce papers with her a month ago, but are waiting for the right time to drop them.’

The source further added, ‘At that time, they will release a joint statement that will say how they have much love for each other and how they fought to make it work, but couldn’t.’

Another told the news outlet, ‘Honestly, in the end, they could not come to a compromise. What they had before is gone and they have both accepted it.’

This development follows Ben Affleck’s recent purchase of a new home in Los Angeles and his absence from both his wife’s birthday and their second wedding anniversary in the Hamptons. Despite having lived separately for some time, neither Jennifer Lopez nor Ben Affleck has publicly addressed their separation.

With Affleck buying his own mansion in LA and their Beverly Hills home on the market, reports increasingly suggest that their divorce is imminent. ‘Ben’s decision to move into his own home is the final insult,’ an insider told Radar Online. ‘Jennifer Lopez had been hoping for a reconciliation if they spent some time apart, but this feels like a stab in the heart,’ the source added.

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck began dating in 2002, broke up, and then reunited in 2021. After another high-profile romance, they married in July 2022 in Las Vegas. Lopez has twins with her ex-husband Marc Anthony, while Affleck shares children Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner.
