‘You know, to be honest, I think we as a cast are quite a fellowship. So I know that that sort of happens in our story. But what's been really beautiful about our group is we really want to support each other and we also welcome audiences to be part of that fellowship as well. So, you know, what my takeaway was genuinely in the situation was just how many people were supporting us, behind us. I don't really try to pay attention to sort of the toxicity of the situation, and I'm actually moved by just how many people are excited by what we're doing. We have a very passionate fan base and you know, we're still in the early stages of the show being out, so people get to see what else we have in store and fall in love with these characters and hopefully fall in love with us as a cast. But I know I love my castmates and I'm just really proud to be amongst them,’ she said.

Earlier, Prime Video posted a message condemning the racist backlash they have been facing and said, ‘Tolkien created a world which, by definition, is multi-cultural. A world in which free peoples from different races and cultures join together… to defeat the forces of evil. [POC fans,] you are valid, you are loved, and you belong. You are an integral part of the LOTR family – thanks for having our backs.’
