Vikram Gokhale passes away at 77; Akshay Kumar, Manoj Bajpayee, Anupam Kher pay tribute to veteran actor

Tributes poured in for veteran actor Vikram Gokhale who passed away on Saturday after suffering multiple organ failure.

Akshay Kumar who costarred with Gokhale in the super hit film Bhool Bhulaiya shared how he learnt many things from him. He tweeted, ‘Very sad to know of the demise of Vikram Gokhale ji. Worked with him in films like Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Mission Mangal, had so much to learn from him. Om Shanti.’

Anupam Kher also took to social media. He wrote, ‘Vikram Gokhale! (with heart emojis)’ on Twitter.

Manoj Bajpayee tweeted, ‘Indian cinema lost a gem of an actor. Had the privilege of working with him in Aiyyari and shared few great moments with him on the set ! Saddened to hear about Shri Vikram Gokhale ji’s demise. My thoughts & prayers are with the family.’

According to sources, Vikram Gokhale’s last rites will be performed in Pune.

The actor was a popular name in Marathi theatre and cinema. He has also contributed to Hindi movies like Agneepath (1990), Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999), Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007), Natsamrat (2015), Hichki (2018), and Mission Mangal (2019).
