Actor Swara Bhasker and politician-activist Fahad Ahmed had their mehendi and sangeet ceremony in Delhi on Sunday evening after a ‘colourful’ haldi ceremony. Taking to her Instagram Stories, she shared several pictures and videos from the events. Folk singer Deene Khan performed live at the sangeet. Sharing a picture of the musician, Swara wrote, ‘What a way to start the night!’

She also shared a few photos of the decor from the Sangeet function.
Swara donned a bright orange gotapatti anarkali for the mehendi ceremony, while Fahad wore a sky-blue kurta pyjama with a Nehru jacket. For the musical sangeet, the couple twinned in green outfits.

The wedding festivities are reportedly underway in Swara Bhasker’s grandparents’ farmhouse in Delhi. Their family members and close friends are part of the celebrations.

Swara announced her court marriage with Fahad Ahmad on February 16. She had shared a video on Instagram which showed their relationship’s journey. It was captioned, ‘Sometimes you search far & wide for something that was right next to you all along. We were looking for love, but we found friendship first. And then we found each other! Welcome to my heart @FahadZirarAhmad. It’s chaotic but it’s yours.’

Swara Bhasker was last seen in ‘Jahaan Chaar Yaar’. She is currently working on a film titled ‘Mrs Falani’.
