Swara Bhasker’s traditional wedding ceremony invite goes viral; see here

Actor Swara Bhasker surprised everyone as she announced her court marriage with political activist Fahad Ahmad last month. She is now set to have a traditional wedding ceremony in Delhi. Pictures of the invite have gone viral on social media.

The card is designed by Prateeq and illustrated by Anupam Arunachalam. Prateeq and Anupam shared a series of pictures of the invite on Instagram with a special note.

The note reads, ‘Swara and Fahad wanted the invite to capture how they met and fell for each other during a citizen protest, their memories of Mumbai and Marine Drive, their abiding love for the movies, and of course, for their beautiful cat, Ghalib.’

As per India Love Project, the card has a message for the newlywed couple that reads, ‘Sometimes you search far and wide for something that was right next to you all along. We were looking for love, but found friendship first.’ It added, ‘It began at a citizen protest (but of course!), it grew with each political development in the country, till we each discovered the person behind the cause’.

According to sources, Swara will have an intimate wedding at her grandmother’s house in Delhi. The wedding preparations have already begun, and the pre-wedding festivities will start from March 11.
