Rohman Shawl opened up about his relationship with actor Sushmita Sen amid rumours of a romantic reconnection between them. In an interview with Instant Bollywood, Shawl clarified that they maintain a strong friendship and share a special bond, despite their dating history. He remarked, 'We have always been friends and that will always continue. We share something special and that is visible also.'

Addressing their public appearances together, Shawl said, 'We have been together for six years. What’s new to this?'

This statement comes shortly after Sushmita Sen appeared on Rhea Chakraborty’s podcast asserting her single status. Sen stated, 'I have no man in my life. I’ve been single for a while. It has been almost two years since I have been single, to be precise since 2021… I am not in a relationship.'

Sen further talked about her current stance towards dating, expressing contentment in taking a break following a relationship that lasted nearly five years. She explained, 'I am not even interested in anyone at the moment. It is lovely to take a break because I was in a relationship for almost five years. And that was a long time.'

Sen previously reflected on this dynamic, describing Shawl as an 'evolved person' with whom she, along with her children, formed a close-knit unit. Their relationship garnered public interest and they parted ways in December 2021.

Sushmita Sen never got married. She adopted Renee in 2000 and Alisah joined the family in 2010.
