Mirzapur The Film: All we know about OTT’s favourite crime thriller’s theatrical adaptation

‘Mirzapur’ has received immense love from the audience, especially for its last two seasons and now the ‘bhaukaal’ of the OTT’s favourite show is coming to theatres. Yes, the makers have confirmed ‘Mirzapur: The Film’ and here is what we know about it.

The film adaptation of the web series will not have Hrithik Roshan leading it as the rumours suggested. The makers have decided to let the OG ‘Mirzapur’ stars take the lead in the film. Pankaj Tripathi is reprising the character of Kaleen bhaiya while Ali Fazal is joining as Guddu bhaiya. Icing on the cake is the return of Divyendu’s character Munna bhaiya.

In the teaser, Divyendu delivers his iconic dilaogue in a theatre, “Bole The Naa, Hum Amar Hain.” Munnai bhaiya remained missing from season 3 of the web series after his character was killed off in the previous season. Fans credit Divyendu’s absence for the poor reception of season 3 and his comeback has reignited hopes for a blockbuster show.

The film is directed by Gurmmeet Singh and created by Puneet Krishna. It is scheduled to release in 2026. Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment is backing the film. The producers called it a ‘landmark milestone’.

After the theatrical release, the film will be available for streaming on Prime Video. Vikrant Massey, Shweta Tripathi, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Rasika Dugal, Harshita Kaur, Vijay Varma and many more talented actors have been part of ‘Mirzapur’ series.
