Karan Johar announces will return to director’s seat once again, announces untitled film on birthday

Karan Johar is celebrating his 52nd birthday but the filmmaker is unstoppable. After delivering ‘Rocky and Rani kii Prem Kahaani’ last year, KJo is set to return to the director’s seat. The filmmaker surprised fans with the announcement of his next film project on his birthday.

The Bollywood director and producer decided to give a special gift to his fans on his birthday. Taking to Instagram, Johar shared a picture featuring him with an untitled narration draft. He captioned the picture, “Get...Set...Go!” with a red heart emoji.

While the announcement has raised anticipation, the cast and other details remain under the wraps. Excited netizens urged KJo to cast Shah Rukh Khan in the project while some demanded an SRK and Kajol reunion.

Meanwhile, the internet is flooded with birthday wishes for the ace filmmaker. Johar’s close industry friends shared heartwarming messages for him. Kareena Kapoor Khan shared two stories on Instagram, offering him tickets to Legoland. For her second throwback picture, Kareena wrote, “There is no one like you,” in his caption. Malaika Arora also shared a picture with the director and wrote, “Happy bday you sexy boiiii...@karanjohar...love u loadssss (sic).” Among other stars who wished Johar were Alia Bhatt, Kiara Advani, Arjun Kapoor and many more.

A surprise birthday bash was held last night by Johar’s close friends Tanya Dubash and Kajal Anand. Bollywood celebrities close to the director including Kajol, Farah Khan and Anil Kapoor joined the celebration. Videos of the celebs leaving after party are doing round on social media.
