Jacqueline Fernandez called in for questioning once again by Delhi Police in ₹200-crore extortion case

Actor Jacqueline Fernandez has been summoned once again by the Delhi Police in the ₹200-crore extortion case involving conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar. She will appear before the Economic Offenses Wing for questioning on Monday, according to news agency PTI.

Jacqueline had joined the probe on Wednesday and was quizzed for nearly eight hours. She was accompanied by Pinky Irani, who had introduced her to the conman and was allegedly paid in crores for the task.

A senior police officer said, ‘We need to scrutinise certain documents and also question her further in connection with the case’.

According to PTI, the probe revealed that Sukesh Chandrashekhar offered a motorcycle to Fernandez's agent Prashant on his birthday but he declined to take it.

‘Prashant said he had refused to take it but Chandrashekhar left the bike keys with him. The purpose was to get close to Jacqueline Fernandez. Still, as per his statement, he did not help Sukesh Chandrashekhar much. He said he never rode the bike. It remained parked and he asked Chandrashekhar to take it back. We have seized the bike,’ said Ravinder Yadav, special commissioner of police (crime).

Delhi Police and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) are separately investigating the alleged fraud conducted by Chandrashekhar from Rohini jail.

Last week, Delhi Police had also summoned actor Nora Fatehi, her brother-in-law Mehboob aka Bobby Khan.
