‘Fighter’: Hrithik Roshan shares first look from film; reminds us of Tom Cruise’s ‘Top Gun’

Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone starrer ‘Fighter’ is one of the most anticipated films of 2024. Hrithik took to Instagram on June 26 to share a still from the forthcoming film and captioned it with the hashtag ‘7 months to Fighter’.

In the photo, the Hrithik is seen dressed in a pilot G-suit with gloves on. He seems to be ready for some action. Sharing the post, Hrithik wrote, ‘#Fighter #25Jan2024 #7MonthsToFighter’
Friends and fans are excited to see this photo drop and they are showering him with compliments. Zoya Akhtar dropped a heart emoji, while cousin Pashmina Roshan dropped a number of fire emojis.

Many netizens also commented that the picture reminds them of Tom Cruise’s ‘Top Gun’.
‘Fighter’, directed by Siddharth Anand, also stars Anil Kapoor in a pivotal role.

Earlier this year, Siddharth Anand talked about directing ‘Fighter’ with Hrithik and Deepika. He shared how it’s his third film with Hrithik after ‘Bang Bang’ and ‘War’.

‘And Patty, the character he’s playing in Fighter, he’s made it his own. He’s like a chameleon, he just adapts and becomes that character for that one year (when he’s shooting the film). So he can bring a certain genuineness to it that can last over a franchise, it’s not just made up for that moment, he becomes that person.

So Patty is really something Hrithik has really worked hard on, different from Kabir and Rajveer. It is really exciting to see him transform like that.

It is like a dream for a director to have an actor who just submits himself to that film for so long. He is a joy,’ Siddharth said.
