Border 2: Ahan Shetty joins the cast with Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan and Diljit Dosanjh

Ahan Shetty, the son of Bollywood star Suniel Shetty, is officially part of the cast for the much-anticipated film ‘Border 2’. The news was shared in a teaser video, creating buzz among fans and the industry.

The Instagram post announcing his inclusion read, ‘Welcoming Fauji @ahan.shetty to the Battalion of #Border2,’ signaling Ahan’s entry into the war film franchise.

Expressing his excitement, Ahan wrote, ‘Border is more than a film—it’s a legacy, an emotion, and a dream come true. Ironic how life works—my journey with Border started 29 years ago, when mom visited dad on set while pregnant with me. I grew up hearing OP Dutta’s legendary stories, holding JP uncle’s hand, and sitting by @nidhiduttaofficial side. I never realized how much those moments would shape my love for cinema and the Indian Armed Forces.

He added, ‘Now, being part of Border 2 is an absolute honour. JP uncle, thank you for continuing to hold my hand, I hope to make you very very proud. Nidhi, your hard work brought this dream to life, thank you for all that you are and do. Bhushan Sir, thank you for trusting me with this opportunity, I’m eternally grateful. @anurag_singh_films sir, I’m excited to work under your guidance. Ahan will star alongside Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Sunny Deol in this war-drama. Directed by Anurag Singh, known for hits like Kesari and Punjab 1984, ‘Border 2’ is set to hit theatres on January 23, 2026, and is touted as ‘India's biggest war film.’

The film was officially announced on June 13, 2024, marking the 27th anniversary of Border.
