On National Cinema Day, 'Stree 2' emerged as the top choice among Indian audience, maintaining its strong performance even after ticket prices returned to their regular rates. the film surpassed the ₹800 crore mark globally on its sixth Friday and is expected to finish its run just shy of ₹850 crore, solidifying its position as the sixth highest-grossing Indian film worldwide since the onset of pandemic.&nbsp;
The film's producers are set to earn over ₹350 crore, emphasizing its status as one of the most successful Indian films in history. The box office collections have been impressive throughout its run, with week one bringing in ₹292 crore, followed by ₹140 crore in week two, ₹66 crore in week three, ₹32 crore in week four, and ₹22.5 crore in week five. During the sixth weekend, 'Stree 2' continued to perform well, earning ₹4.75 crore on Friday, ₹3.5 crore on Saturday, and ₹4.75 crore on Sunday.

On Wednesday, they shared a poster and a celebratory note on X, announcing that Stree 2 has surpassed the lifetime Hindi-language earnings of Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan.

He also detailed the latest figures: Fri ₹3.60 cr, Sat ₹5.55 cr, Sun ₹6.85 cr, Mon ₹3.17 cr, Tue ₹2.65 cr, with a total of ₹586 cr in India.
According to Sacnilk.com, Jawan's total nett collection in India across all languages (Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu) stands at ₹640.25 crore. In Hindi alone, its lifetime earnings in India are ₹582.31 crore.
Released in 2023, Jawan is an action thriller directed by Atlee, featuring Shah Rukh Khan in dual roles as a father and son, with Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Deepika Padukone, Priyamani, and Sanya Malhotra in key roles.
As for Stree 2, directed by Amar Kaushik, the sequel includes cameos by Varun Dhawan and Akshay Kumar. According to Sacnilk, Stree 2 has been consistent at the box office, earning Rs 3 crore on Wednesday. It is expected to surpass Jawan by next week, as it faces minimal competition.
Globally, Stree 2 has grossed over Rs 760 crore and is projected to end its run around Rs 830 crore. While it may not reach the worldwide figures of Jawan, Pathaan, or Animal, Stree 2 will emerge as one of the most profitable films, thanks to its modest budget of Rs 130 crore. Even with Kareena Kapoor&rsquo;s The Buckingham Murders hitting theaters soon, Stree 2 remains the top contender at the box office.

With an impressive 75.09 percent occupancy on its opening day, the film&rsquo;s success underscores the lasting appeal of horror-comedies.
Additionally, it becomes the biggest opening for a Hindi film, following Shah Rukh Khan's &lsquo;Jawan&rsquo; (₹65.5 crore) and &lsquo;Pathaan&rsquo; (₹55 crore) from the previous year.

The sequel continues the tale of Chanderi, now haunted by the menacing Sarkata, with the townspeople once again seeking Stree's aid.

The horror comedy starring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor has a confirmed release date. The makers are also dropping its teaser today but there&rsquo;s a catch. &nbsp;

Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor&rsquo;s &lsquo;Stree 2&rsquo; has sealed the date. The film will hit the theatres on August 15. A teaser of the upcoming film will also be out today, however, it will exclusively be available in cinemas with &lsquo;Munjya&rsquo; from today.&nbsp;
Sharing the exciting update, Maddock Films shared a collaborative post with the film&rsquo;s team members on Instagram. Recently, Akshay Kumar&rsquo;s &lsquo;Khel Khel Mein&rsquo; and John Abraham&rsquo;s &lsquo;Vedaa&rsquo; also announced August 15 as their release date. Allu Arjun starrer &lsquo;Pushpa 2&rsquo; was also scheduled to release on Independence Day, however, reports suggest that there might be a delay in the release. &nbsp;

The shooting for &lsquo;Stree 2&rsquo;, starring Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkumar Rao, and Pankaj Tripathi, has commenced. The news was shared by the makers on July 11 with a short clip. &lsquo;Stree 2&rsquo; is being filmed in Chanderi, Madhya Pradesh once again. The cast recently met for the script reading sessions.
 Sharing the news on social media, Rajkumar Rao wrote, &lsquo;Ek baar phir चंदेरी में फैला aatank! स्त्री २ filming begins! Aa rahi hai woh- August 2024!
