‘Stree 2’: Is Akshay Kumar making a cameo in Shraddha Kapoor starrer? Here’s what we know

This Independence Day weekend will be a treat for Akshay Kumar fans, as the actor will be seen in not one but two movies running simultaneously at the box office. The latest development suggests that ‘Stree 2’, clashing with Akshay’s ‘Khel Khel Mein’, will also feature a special appearance by the ‘Khiladi’ actor.

A report by HT City confirmed that Khiladi Kumar will make a surprise appearance in Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor’s upcoming horror comedy. Their source revealed, ‘The makers felt his comedy timing is impeccable, and his presence, even for a few minutes, will elevate that particular sequence.’

Details about his role in the plot are yet to be revealed, but the internet is already buzzing with excitement about seeing him in both films.

Interestingly, Akshay Kumar is not the only one making a cameo in this Amar Kaushik directorial. The teaser of the horror-comedy has confirmed that Tamannaah Bhatia and Varun Dhawan, as Bhediya, will make special appearances in ‘Stree 2’, further heightening anticipation.

A few new faces were also spotted in a blink-and-miss appearance during the teaser, with their identities yet to be revealed.

‘Stree 2’, the sequel to the 2018 film of the same name and the fifth installment of the Maddock Supernatural Universe, also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana in key roles. The movie will hit theatres on August 15, 2024.
